Just googled hyundai.com/us and looked for sonata N-line 2023. Under the "comfort and convenience" column, there is a "Proximity Key entry with push button start" feature, and it is stated that for N-line and Limited, it is "standard."
I cant tell, is the dash only cutting off or the engine too? Looks like just the dash. Also looks like a hard bump before that. I can see it is clearly rebooting. Funny story, i thought I had the same issue , turns out I had the night time dash brightness turned way down and the sensor is too sensitive causing my dash to look like it was cutting off when driving through trees. 😆
To rule out issues with your fob, test with it in one of the cup holders. Have autozone test the 12v battery. Dont assume the dealer did anything besides drive it. Check all the fusible links and fuses and check exposed wiring for rodent damage. The severe damage might be hidden, they usually sample wires in the open, under the vehicle. You might only see puncture marks on those.
Check for a sunroof or other leak that could be affecting your electronics. Did you drive through a deep puddle?
Go to a different dealer. Funny how everyone screaming lemon law has never actually gone through the process, its not that cut and dry , nor do you simply receive a new car. Its in your best interest to figure it out. Also, there has to be repair attempts not just having a look.
This dedfinitely isn't a US spec N-Line (I own a '23 N-Line myself) as it has the BVM and the Integrated Memory System (IMS) buttons next to the Bose speaker on the door. Not sure which countries have the N-Line/Limited features combined (I know Australia receives it that way).
Those are standard for the N line trim. I was going to buy one until I saw it came with god awful cloth seats straight out of a dodge caravan from 2007, and had front wheel drive
So I can see in your video that your car dropped into Neutral as you were driving it. That exact same thing happened to me!!
It took them almost a year to correctly diagnose after swapping multiple sensors they FINALLY listened to me and changed the drive shaft positioning sensor. It was faulty causing the car to "loose track" of where it was and drop itself into neutral. It also took me driving straight to the dealership and not turning my car off for them to scan the code because for whatever reason my onboard system kept wiping the codes when the car was restarted.
They will probably open a 'hitack' or 'high tack' case, I'm really not sure of the spelling, where they will reach out to Hyundai's tech team for help. Push them to look at the drive shaft positioning sensor.
Good luck!
It's been 2 months they have change the dashboard screen. Now they are going to change the instrument cluster, which they order and is going to come from south Korea, don't know wen it is gonna come.
This happens to my 2018 Hyundai sonata SE!! All my mechanics are clueless too… it makes a click sound as if the gear or transmission is dragging/stalling. It always happens on chance too and the mechanics don’t ever get to feel what’s going on!
My 2022 had multiple issues. Gears jumping , basically stalls when I’m trying to speed up, among others . They couldn’t fix the problem contacted corporate to buy back the car denied. This was within a week of me having it. All documented. It’s Hyundai
I know is old but I had a car do this. Check the battery terminals and make sure they are on tight and not loose.
When you hit a bump the car will shut off and then come back on. My car did this and I took it to two different mechanics and no one could figure it out. One even said I needed a new computer. Anyways I was defeated and on my way home from a very long road trip I finally decided for some reason to check the battery. I was going over a bumpy road and it gave me the idea it had to be the issue. Sure enough it was on there but not tight enough.
"My car stalled out on the intersection, I barely avoided getting t-boned. If nobody takes me serious and I get in an accident it wouldn't be great. Maybe you should reconsider." might be a good phrase to bring up.
When the 12v battery is crap on Hyundai/kia’s and you get on the accelerator moderately hard it will cause it to cut out like that. When your throttle input is past a certain point it cuts off alternator charging momentarily for maximum horsepower, but if your battery is having issues it will have trouble keeping up with your electrical loads for that instance.
Hyundai is a trusted brand for me. Everyone in my family have hyundai like wen hyundai was introduce in india we have been using it. So i choose hyundai and toyota are ugly looking cars.
Over here the Australian spec gets the 360 camera, heads up, rear vents bro & it’s the Only model we get which is N-line, I’m looking for a brand new car that’s Why I don’t mind extra
If that’s the start stop activating then your battery is going bad. Tends to happen when it starts to get cold outside.
N-LINE doesn't have start/stop
But it does, even on the video you can see a button.
Can't be a US spec car then, they don't have start stop in us, OP must be in another country

I think you're getting the start/stop button confused with the auto start/stop system that "terminates and restarts" the engine when coming to a stop?
Oh, could be that. The more I think of it, the more it starts to make sense.
Little bit of a blunder haha.
Most states lemon laws require you to give them 3 tries to fix it. Then you can start the process to have them buy it back.
Lemon lawyer
Also I’ll add if your the original owner if not good luck lol

Off topic, but where do you live? I didn’t know the n line came with the cameras in the gauges.
This is in Canada, more specifically Mississauga ON
Damn bro u r accurate with it.
Can't forget Mississauga.
Go fo CAMVAP arbitrator. See if they can arbitrate a buyback.
My 2020 limited has them (US)
Yeah, n line doesn’t/didn’t
But that’s the nline steering wheel and it’s got the red stitching, I would love to get that feature.
Really? That’s a shame, it’s a really cool feature
I'm live in Canada.

It's Canadian N Line.

That’s not cloth.. and the sonata n line isn’t going to come in AWD..
God awful cloth seats? Lmao They are suede and nappa leather lol
If it’s defective and you been there 4 times. You might be able to pursue a lemon law case since your car is so new and this might be a safety issue
Lemon law time then.
There is no lemon law where this car was purchased
CAMVAP arbitrator.
That's a VOLUNTARY program. 100% voluntary
Yeah it’s a risky roll of the dice. Quebec has lemon laws as of last month.

Can you describe in more detail what the issue is? Are you referring to the low fuel indicator coming on, when it shouldn't be coming on?
It’s insane that they can not fix the issue and send you home.
some kind of error message in your dashboard?
"Low on fuel" message on the dashboard. As someone mentioned above, it could be a bad battery.
I was have half tank of gas and after this low fuel warning started coming.
If you turn off the idle start stop, does it still do it? My stinger has that garbage. Part of each start up cycle is to turn it off.
I added a programmable timer switch to simulate pressing the button for me at each drive cycle. Now the car automatically defaults to ISG off.

It seems the sonata has the most problems
this is why you dont get kia or hyundai.
Just Hyundai/kia things
the problem is you own a shitty brand
Congrats you bought a Hyundai here your punishment
Check everything that has to do with fuel lines. Could be loose gas cap to all the way to fuel sensor. Ask @askmechanic
I told everything to hyundai technician abt fuel pump pressure, oil pressure it seems they don't want to do it.
"My car stalled out on the intersection, I barely avoided getting t-boned. If nobody takes me serious and I get in an accident it wouldn't be great. Maybe you should reconsider." might be a good phrase to bring up.
The whole dashboard doesn't electronic reset, how could this be gas cap related?
I seen the low fuel alert? Idk about if he’s talking about Dashboard or fuel alert
Fair enough, the OP has done a poor job of describing what the " issue " is
Fuel alert is false, I was having half tank of fuel.
My paint is peeling too
Lemon!
Well it’s a Hyundai…
Hyundai Techs: I don't know the problem with this. Just go home and forget about it.
How did you not know what you were getting yourself into ? This is the worst brand on the market.
When the 12v battery is crap on Hyundai/kia’s and you get on the accelerator moderately hard it will cause it to cut out like that. Glad I got my Cammy TRD over that N mess 😂🤣
Lemon law …
Why would you buy a Hyundai? Next time buy a Honda or Toyota.
Hyundai is a trusted brand for me. Everyone in my family have hyundai like wen hyundai was introduce in india we have been using it. So i choose hyundai and toyota are ugly looking cars.
Even new they’re junk always were always will be
Bro don’t you still have warranty from dealership since it’s very new ? I’m from Australia and we get 5yr/ unlimited km
I have 7 years of warranty. The car is still with the dealership its been what 4 months they r still finding the issue.
Damn bro hope they find the problem and fix it ! Fresh car man, I’m getting the 2024 sonata bro
Not worth it bro, u don't get 360 camera and heads up display, plus they increased the price by 4k.
Over here the Australian spec gets the 360 camera, heads up, rear vents bro & it’s the Only model we get which is N-line, I’m looking for a brand new car that’s Why I don’t mind extra
Grt bro, N Line is worth buying. The thrill and acceleration is superb.
Another month passed and still not solution to the problem. In fact they cannot even locate whats causing it.
Both hands on the steering wheel! 🙏
