The ownership needs to change. Glenn has fucked over too many in the industry for this festival to continue as is. I don't know who would buy it from him as he tried to sell to Insomniac, but they didn't want to take on the massive debt he created.

tiffanyisonreddit

Right?! Insomniac could just start a new event in GA that DOESN’T have a pile of debt and bad reputation.

px3x5

Theres a great chance there won’t be an imagine 2025 haha

sleepnutz

Yea I miss when it was at the speed way

around_the_clock

Went every year to the speedway, solo 2 times, had a blast

rawques

Lol will never be returning tbh

Holy_Grail_Reference

I feel that. Imagine was always on my list each year but even if it comes back I can't after the last two disasters.

Glittering_Ad_5990

idk i love imagine and i’ve never had a bad experience. I’ve worked with them serval times and just attended and nothing shady happened to me. but i cannot speak for everyone

Glittering_Ad_5990

but i worked at iris and worked at syndicate which was opened by one of their partners so i might be biased since they’re good friends of mine. or maybe not friends but they’ve always looked out for me

Fluffy_Soup560

If they returned to kingston downs, I'd attend regardless of changes. I live super close, and if I don't have the funds I can always volunteer. Which is what I did last year, and honestly, it was still so much fun.

QueenxxxCoco

I don’t understand why everyone says last year was so bad? I had an absolute blast. I have nothing bad to say. I’d 100% go back

Weird_Solution5303

Personally as a volunteer I wouldn’t attend just because of how many issues I saw. People with early passes half of them getting wristbands the other half getting mailed paper and then being told they have to go to will call for the wristband, caused a huge holdup at the security line for hours. On the volunteer side, we were promised pre party entry, meals, and free showers (none of which held true) but that’s also the responsibility of the volunteer group not imagine. Stopping music at like midnight and then shutting down all the after parties? Especially scheduled ones at the small stage by the vendors? Bonnaroo was my first fest so to go somewhere else and sit in silence after midnight was pretty disappointing. I had a fine time for the free ticket but would I ever PAY to go? Absolutely not

False-Release-6824

Couldn’t agree more! Some random people complaining about vendors not getting paid but no one knows the actual story + I was not a vendor lol

I_need_more_juice

I worked for a vendor. We got paid. I know different vendors who worked event and they all got paid as well. SoCo Hospitality handles all the food/drink vendors. Usually the case is the vendor is being shady. They got the money but don’t wanna give the worker any and blame the festival and throw them some change to get you out of their hair.

MarcusMan6

Ownership change + a lineup that actually differentiates itself from other festivals.

turkinflagin

Nothing

ayooashtray

It was a blast everytime I went! But last year was a little smaller & less things to do & see. Y’all should put more activities & art out!

realityhiphop

With so many other festivals so close and miles better in terms of every aspect outside of the lineup I don't see Imagine ever coming back unless Glenn wins the Powerball. SoundHaven, Hula, SolFest, are all right in the area unless you live in Rome. If a miracle happens and they do come back he better lower prices because I ain't paying Hula money for Imagine.

bananamb13

1. Back to the Atlanta motor speedway. 2. shuttles from hotels around the motor speedway so that we aren’t stranded when Ubers boycott picking up from the festival 3. Maybe a hotel takeover so that the $30/night roach motel I stayed at in 2018 doesn’t upcharge to $150/night (I checked normal prices for the “hotel” for non-Imagine weekends) I attended 2018,2019,2021 and 2022 and every year it’s been a little worse but 2018-19 at the speedway were the best of the 4 I went to. There just needs to be more logistics planned for those of us who can’t camp the way established festivals like EDCLV do.

PhilosophySea6469

They canceled in 2021, "due to rain". Did you mean 22 & 23?

bananamb13

God yes I remember that. Because they cancelled RIGHT outside of the window of me being able to get a full refund on my hotel… it was just 22 then that I went. 23 I got married and had to save $!

Excellent_Hedgehog_9

A Daft Punk reunion. In other words. Absolutely nothing. Having the connections the production, and a night club doesn’t create a great festival, you gotta know what you are doing.

ElysiumFields1985

Yeah I don't think I will ever go again with the current management. They screwed over tons of artists and had guys arrested last year on Sunday night for walking down shakedown alley with a boom box and had the pyramid stage shut down after those guys were guaranteed certain time slots and built that stage with their own money and time to get their name out there. Then had police threaten everyone walking around at 2 am who wouldn't disperse to their camp sites that they would be arrested!

mrcheese14

being on the lineup. otherwise i’m not goin lolol

a3rrowman3

Besides maybe wakaan fest and deep tropics fest, Imagine fest is the closest legit edm festival to me that actually has artists I recognize (I live in North Mississippi). Imagine was incredibly cheap and had an incredible lineup. Literally put on another festival in 2025, and I’ll go. I did not camp but the whole festival was really good besides some bathroom upkeep and the delayed entry due to rain one day.

doublexonmychest

Idk if ill come back. Last year is legit the reason why i no longer can handle public restrooms. Maybe if i didnt camp itd be better but yeah. The line up would have to be BANGIN or nah

Management_Square

I think there needs to be more art and visual elements. It felt a little barren and random. Maybe it was the venue but more sculptures and things of that nature would spice it up a lot. Especially at the stages if there was some sort of trippy stage with a roof

King_CrocThe3rd

As a patron who went to the last one, I had the best time there than any fest I’ve been too. I understand a lot of people got screwed over but as a simple being going to enjoy the sets. Some of the best sets and best vibes.

ariessunariesmoon26

Best vibes fr

collinytf

Production value needs to be higher. Better use of space if they return to Kingston Downs. So much extra empty space with little artwork around the venue. I just feel space could be better utilized overall.

FeelTheH8

I would go regardless because of how close I am and how many friends I have that would go

Woopboop64

Honestly nothing i heard what happened last year with the nonpayment and the cancellation of varies performances and i wont be supporting a fes that can treat its employees correctly. The festival itself was amazing best one of been to yet (i might be biased though it was great trip overall) but i can not give money to people that mistreat staffing.

ariessunariesmoon26

It’s in my state and I love it. I love the crowd imagine brings out.. such nice people

Rad_Gowsky

I went 2015, 16, 18 and then 2019 I volunteered. I gotta say, while i have a knack for making the best of bad situations, imagine is the cream of the crop as far as really screwing you over as an attendee Every year they promise more and each year they don't deliver and it's an incredibly obvious shit show. I don't see how they kept the word that it's garbage down enough to continuously pack out the venues. I will say, however, 2015 was a wild amount of fun but looking back it seems ultra cheap, granted two day city fest passes were like somewhere around $100 But I digress; I made sure to have a great time as I do any festival I attend (anything in general as well) but imagine always felt like the shady dude in the alley opening his trench coat trying to sell you counterfeit watches swearing up and down that they're real 2019, I volunteered bc I wanted to see a bunch of artists, had a lot of pals planning on volunteering and it was close to me and convenient but I couldn't rationalize paying bc of my prior experiences. And lawdy lawdy the behind the scenes was waaaaaaaay more of a shit show I could have imagined lol Long story short: I'm shocked they made it as long as they did

superlaurel

What exactly went wrong with imagine? I attended the last 2 years and I had an amazing time, wasn’t too crowded and the sets were amazing, well organized form my pov at least. What did I miss?

stripedsmoothle

I’ve always loved and enjoyed imagine

tiffanyisonreddit

I think they should just stop selling higher tier packages since they don’t have the staff to actually secure them. They also tried forcing people to take long routes around and make them walk through vendor areas. Just sell camping passes, and make the walking routes convenient, people will go to the vendors in their own time. It also doesn’t directly impact me but they need to pay off their debts.

AnOn5647382927492

The festival itself needs work for sure but I actually had an amazing time this year!! I thought everyone I met was super friendly and wanted to make friends

houstonWAP

Headline of bassnectar, pretty lights like the good old days

I don’t think they will ever do it with the amount of controversy surrounding him right now

ElysiumFields1985

Or let's not support rapists like wtf I would never attend any festival with him even attending!
