Good luck. Barn Town releases pretty small batches and rotates their offerings regularly, so finding any particular rotating brew like that one is a shot in the dark. I haven’t seen it in stores for weeks.
You might get lucky and find someone squirreling packs away. My wife bought something like 5 packs of their Lemon Bar Sour once precisely because she knew it likely wouldn’t be there next time she went to the store.
*Purple Rain slaps.* Used to bartend at Cock Bottom and I remember when the crew came out one night to talk about their opening. I went shortly after and got hooked. Truly and for realsies... I gotta give it up to some of the most clever *slim shandy's* I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I live a bit further than I used to and am preparing for a knee replacement, otherwise I'd be back over checking out the scene at Barntown. 100/10, again and again, I'll always attend.
They've released this beer at least twice now, but I feel like it's been a year or two in between. It is a good one, but it's unlikely to be one they'll never get to try again at least.
I'm in Cedar Rapids, & I've been saving one in my fridge for about a month now, but I'll check the local liquor store that has the biggest Barn Town variety to see if they still have any tomorrow after work!
I'll check the liquor store for you in the a.m as I'll be there. No promises, but at least we can rule out one of the DSM hyvees. (They carry a huge selection of local brew runs)
If you call and check with Barntown to see if they have any I’m happy to run over there and as a bonus I’m headed up to Minn in a few weeks so we can meet up then!
Generally Peach and Chong releases twice a year with one of those being around 4/20. It'll be a rare find but not impossible for the next week or so. Out of the way places might be your only shot for about six months.
My boss doesn't rotate well when she "helps" me with the beer cooler. I'll see if she pushed any to the back when I get there tomorrow. Probably not too likely after graduation here in Ames though.
All I read was "special Des Moines beer" and I knew you were talking about Barn Town. Glad you were able to find some. They come out with truly tasty stuff.
There's some in stock in the Hy-Vee on Jordan Creek!
Mahlbergler you rock! Just called and they set aside a pack for me to pick up. Thank you!!!
No problem glad they still had some for you and good luck with the in laws lol!
Awesome. Good job dude.
I believe It’s pretty available at most Hyvees right now..
Calling them now!

Thank you! I know it’s the longest of shots but I figured I’d try my best to find it anyway :)

Yes! You are awesome!!
I ran to two hyvees just now for you (southside) no dice. I'll keep looking though.
Dang! But thank you so much for checking!

That would be so perfect!
Just let me know what they say. I’ll also keep my eyes out for it
Pm’d you
Message BarnTown and see if they can help. A lot of their brews are sold from the restaurant/brewery itself rather than in stores.
Yep, did that just before posting here. :)

I’ll keep an eye out and ping some local shops and see if I can track ang down.
