Hello, this is just a friendly reminder that **amp** links aren't preferable for a bunch of reasons. There are privacy concerns, google is in the boycott list, and when you visit the cached google-copy of the website, you are giving any benefit that the original website would receive from a visit to google.
As far as I know, it's impossible to get rid of amp links in the google app or google chrome, so if you wanna disable it, you'll have to switch to another browser.
Peace.
just use an amputator bot:
[Here](https://www.indiatoday.in/technology/news/story/youtube-gave-gold-play-button-to-monu-manesar-self-confessed-cow-protector-now-accused-of-murdering-2-men-2336109-2023-02-17) is the fixed link
Thanks for that. Maybe we can integrate something like that for the sub.
However, it's not only a problem when the link is shared. In browsers we search way more than we share, and the person who shared that link is regularly visiting amp links. It is more important to avoid these links structurally than to patch it up after someone shared it.
Peace.
[Link without AMP](https://www.indiatoday.in/technology/news/story/youtube-gave-gold-play-button-to-monu-manesar-self-confessed-cow-protector-now-accused-of-murdering-2-men-2336109-2023-02-17).
Well, simply thinking, there's no possible benefit for the website when it's not visited. But the costs are still there.
You can look up why websites exist or how it survives as a business to learn mare about it. But here's my picks for the amp link thievery:
• If a website isn't visited, their network traffic statistic will go down, and search engines will start listing them in lower ranks.
• When a website is visited, they have the opportunity to display ads and earn from that. Google is practically stealing that.
• When a website is visited, they have the opportunity to collect data for several purposes. It can help with diagnostics, analytics, personalized ads etc. Not visiting a website will prevent improvements.
Since website content is created by efforts and served at a cost, this is practically killing their business. Imagine a bookstore that buys one copy of a lot of books, and sells their own copies to visitors. That's google amp links.
On top of that, a user stuck in amp links will have 2 problems. One being problems with display that might happen because of cached view, the other being collective profiling information. When a user searches for 10 different things and visits 3 websites on average per search, that makes 30 visits in total. If the user is following amp links, all of those visits will stay in google servers. The implication is that all of the browsing data will be collected in a single source, which will help google have a deeper profile for the user. In turn it will help google improve itself much faster, and earn way more. Because it's not only 30 more visits to google, it's also stealing that 1 visit that those actual websites were receive.
On a broader sense, if this becomes more commonplace, dying websites will get more annoying with possibly more intrusive ads, also underappreciated content creation will be replaced by AI-created web content. I don't want my internet search experience to become voluntary work for AI.
Overall, it seems amp links are designed to maximize google's profits, the user is convinced by both silent enforcement and offering *faster* load times, and the original websites is ignored.
It's a youtube award. They send a physical youtube button in gold color to youtubers when they have *enough* subscribers. But it's a very subjective awards with no real criterion. This is from [related wiki page](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/YouTube_Creator_Awards):
> ... [the awards] are offered at the sole discretion of YouTube.
Its like a trophy from Google on achieving certain number of subscribers on youtube for example you get a Golden Play button on 200k Subs. Its a metal frame with golden youtube logo in the middle.

This comment contains misinformation. YouTube does not hand out play buttons "regardless of what's on the channel."
> Creator Awards are given at YouTube's sole discretion and we only recognize creators that have played by the rules. Channels are subject to review before awards are issued. The point of the post is that YouTube doesn't consider videos of attacks against Muslims to violate TOS or Community Guidelines. I recommend taking a second look at the post and checking out the link OP provided to understand OP's problem
I don’t think that’s enough evidence, it’s innocent until proven guilty, that’s the way Islamic courts have operated for centuries before colonialism, irregardless of how much of scumbag disgusting person he is ((he is btw)), I don’t think that’s enough ground for accusations/legal persecution.
I am not a person who goes with narratives, I understand your grievances, this person would probably do it if he could ((I don’t know him personally, but I know how utterly disgusting these Hindu extremist scumbags can be)), but I believe in what Islam and Allah (swt) have taught me, Islam is not a religion where we kill people because they “look like they would do it” or because of thoughts.
I don’t think I personally care to what happens to the Hindu extremist, but I also don’t want to be a person who’s just so disillusioned with grief to just want to throw out logic and reason to want to accuse a person of murder to justify doing whatever with him.
Nothing is clear as there is no physical or even witness evidence to prove the murder was on him, or at least judging solely by the link the op has given.
Thank you brother for your advice, but I’ll believe in what I think Allah (swt) has taught me.
not disagreeing with you but does the prosecution have any evidence for the court case yet. and if so what’s the court case number i want to follow this story
Yes.

Why can’t I see the comments on this post??
Reddits really broken recently
How could he get a golden play button at 200k subs? A gold is given at 1 million
Not even surprised, google and other big tech firms all anti islam and pro Zionists. Although they claim to be neutral.
Well YouTube don't go unvestigating all YouTubers around the world and how he gets the golden button when he has only 200k subs
What’s a golden button?

YouTube Play button. It's an award given to YouTubers on reaching certain number of subscribers i.e 100k,1m etc
I think an award given by YouTube to a channel that gains 1 million subscribers
Golden play button awarded to a creator by YouTube when they reach 100k subscribers.
It's a big plaque commemorating your subscriber milestone. Silver at 100k and gold at 1m.
It's like an award you get from youtube... You get a Framed YouTube Logo.. Can be sliver, Gold, Platinum etc depending on how many subs you get
