To be honest, part of me really wants an KH fighting game made by ArcSys. Nothing against Dissidia or anything, I just want to see how ArcSys would adapt KH to a fighting game format. That's partly the reason I have BBCTB and GFV as two of my picks.
I think to capture everything Sora does in his home series, it would have to be a game with significant ability for air combos. Soul Calibur is a neat idea, but I imagine Sora either being mostly grounded and thus not feeling totally like himself, or introducing a significant aerial focus into a game not built with air combat in mind, which could break it.
Ideally I would want a future Capcom Vs. game that can include Sora, like a Marvel vs. Capcom with him as a Disney guest character, or a brand new "Square Enix vs. Capcom".
I agree to an extent. I think you could still make a grounded playstyle for Sora work by focusing primarily on his KH1 moveset, but anything from II or III would require something like MvC or an ArcSys fighter to work.

My first choice back then was Smash and that came true, so for a more traditional fighter…. Definitely an Arc Systems Fighter
