It's supposed to be random, but it does seem to favor one color over the others. I've seen plenty of people here who state they've only gotten green, or only gotten blue. I have mostly gotten red, but I got one blue after a while.
I’ve had the same experience, 80% of the chests are red, probably 15% blue and 5% green. I finally got a green one in a frost biome base today. If you want to just run through the bunkers and not fight anyone I posted two posts on here with videos on how you can teleport through those red walls with beds and not fight anyone. Quick way to check all imperial chests.
You’ve got to unlock the lightsaber from your Star Wars village being level 4 or 5, then enter in one of those restricted bunkers. And the chest will be at the very end of those
People may be downvoting because if you play multiplayer, the captain only gives one person a lightsaber, the other person has to get one from a chest. Figured that out after asking my partner why she wasn’t using her lightsaber.
The point of my comment was the guy said level 4 or 5, and I was simply correcting him that it’s level 6. That’s all I was doing. It’s level 6, he was wrong about the level. I thought that was clear but I guess not.
You have to look for bunkers with the binoculars. After you fight all the enemies inside, you can access the last room, where you can find a big red chest. It should always drop a lightsaber.
I did it before my village was at a certain level. I guess the good stuff does not happen until you level up the village. I am level 7 now and will try again.
I thought each type of cave was a different color. I heard grasslands is blue, desert green, snowy one red. I did a grasslands and got blue, desert got green, and did two frost ones and got blue and green
I have just opened 7 chests I’m scared I will run out, 4 green 3 blue. It’s so random that it’s never red. Probably should do some kind of check when you open a chest to see what you already have so you don’t have to start a new world for the chance of something
You do get a blue one as a gift at some point after leveling up your village if you talk to Captain Bavara. As for the green (and red)... It's all down to luck. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have 16 lightsabers atm (15 from caves, 1 from the quest)
4 green
5 blue
7 red ones

My brother and I have combined for 3 grasslands bunkers and managed 2 red, and 1 blue

I put my green saber in a chest and it disappeared.
I got 3 blue, 2 red, 2 green so far, Hoping for another green or red but idk

That's weird. It should be available to obtain as soon as you have access to imperial caves. I did it immediately and it worked just fine.
Someone else said it’s when you reach a level with the village where she gives you a lightsaber

is it based on what skin you are using? someone mentioned that in a comment the other day.
I cant imagine that skin choice has any impact.

It’s irrelevant I’ve searched 11 caves, 3 frost, 5 grasslands and 3 desert. I came out with 8 red, 2 blue and one green.
