##Welcome to r/LateStageCapitalism This subreddit is for news, discussion, memes, and links criticizing capitalism and advancing viewpoints that challenge liberal capitalist ideology. That means any support for any liberal capitalist political party (like the Democrats) is strictly prohibited. LSC is run by communists. This subreddit is not the place to debate socialism. The concept of a death triggering a stock jump is so Running Man. If only LSC was as entertaining as that movie... šŸ˜‘

Irrespond

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why we shall make no excuses for the terror.

Due-Ad-4091

ā€œWe have no compassion and we ask no compassion from you. When our turn comes, we shall not make excuses for the terror.ā€ Banger quote by Marx

Irrespond

Indeed

tmhoc

The only thing they find terifying is "Line go down" and even then they'll never admit it

bee5sea6

I hate this timeline

MrNokill

The more you know

ul90

Investment bankers are psychopaths.

[Corporations are psychopathic by design.](https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/our-humanity-naturally/201103/why-corporations-are-psychotic)

Capitalism and the global financial system is psychopathic by design.

Illustrious-Syrup666

Look up ā€œThe NEW corporationā€ on YouTube it goes full into this itā€™s nice.

Mo_Jack

The original one really opened my eyes and I started seeing the world quite differently.

PoorFilmSchoolAlumn

Of course the stock rose. The threat was eliminated.

ButtonEyes98

Luckily 10 more stepped forward in response to the latest death. Imagine the metaphorical balls required to do so in the face of clear retribution. Hard not to respect someone, let alone a group, faced with such an impossible choice.

Impossible__Joke

1 whistleblower dying is suspicious, 2 dying is extremely unlikely, 10 dying would be impossible to cover up. There is safety is numbers.

Prestigious-Log-7210

No one can tell me that first whistleblower killed himself. I just donā€™t see it and canā€™t believe how little Boeing gives a shit if we all know they are killers.

Brandonazz

Well corporations are only people when it benefits them. When they do crimes, it takes a goddamn think tank of lawyers and an army of investigators to have any hope of imposing even modest consequences, and thereā€™s a good chance that those consequences will fall on some executive scapegoat and the leviathan will lumber on, unimpeded, anyway.

iveseensomethings82

10 people, Right place, right time, right gas leakā€¦

Mo_Jack

Threat**s**. Wasn't this the 2nd dead whistleblower?

FluffyLobster2385

good lord don't give them ideas

ShadykillaWolf

This just incentivizes murder for corporations

loveinvein

Welp, thatā€™s gross.

rockinreedrothchild

Because they care more about their stock price than peoples lives. Logan Roy would be proud.

[deleted]

Basically a blood sacrifice to the stock market. Khorne is pleased. Blood for the bull market, skulls for the stock throne.

rrunawad

It's a bull market, stocks typically rise no matter the logic. Or lack thereof. That's capitalism in a nutshell. Especially since there's never going to be an official investigation, so the suspicious death of whistleblowers can be pushed aside as mere ''conspiratorial thinking''.

morriartie

The stakeholders probably bought a lot of shares to mask the fall I thought that was standard behavior. We can't use stocks to measure public opinion in the short term, there's too much market manipulation

iveseensomethings82

Karl Marx was right

Mrhappytrigers

May the executives of Boeing experience the flaws of their planes that they silenced 2 whistleblowers for. šŸ™

Sir-Kyle-Of-Reddit

Itā€™s just as likely one of their top shareholders took out the whistleblowers as it is Boeing itself did. > The top shareholders of Boeing are Timothy J. Keating, Leanne G. Caret, Theodore Colbert, Vanguard Group Inc., BlackRock Inc. (BLK), and Newport Trust Co.

FausttTheeartist

Well, thatā€™s a terrible sign for the future.

Cleanse_The_World

This world needs a hard reset WW3 Hyyypppeeee!!!

Disqeet

Running Man meets Squid Games 2024

HippoRun23

Thatā€™s so damn disturbing.

Iggy_Arbuckle

Murder Inc.

antonylockhart

I hate this whole system, someoneā€™s gotta destroy it

adoptionalien

Ofc, Boeing mitigated a potential risk, stocks go up. šŸ™„

xavierjackson

This headline is why LSC was created

avoidy

Investors were like "you see what Boeing does to its whistleblowers? Holy *shit,* now there's a company we can get behind!"

WKant

Crazy

cnews97

Iā€™m late but this is non-news, the DOW went up 1.18% today and BA only went up .94%. The real misnomer is the stock price skyrocketing by $10 literally 5 min before the market closed, then dropping back down $10 at close
