Wanchope scored a hat trick on his debut at Maine Rd. I was in the Gene Kelly stand. Kennedy was vital at Blackburn on another crazy day in City history. Tiatto was just crazy but a lot of fans loved him.
I may have imagined it, but I remember being at Maine Road v Blackburn (I think). We were getting outplayed, Tiatto came in, smashed their best player, got sent off and we got control of the game and went on to win (I think).
Keegan had to escort him down the tunnel after he accidentally-on-purpose kicked a water bottle at the opposition bench as he exited the pitch. Pretty sure The Goat rescued us that day? Not Tiatto's finest hour, but he was a real fans favourite. Technically brilliant and put a shift in every game he played.
Great shirt and 3 very different players: Tiatto was hard as nails, on his day Kennedy was brilliant and nobody knew what Wanchope would do once he had the ball at his feet. There is a very small part of me that misses those days
Lê Coq Esportif makes amazing kits. I hate how it’s always the same brands and no real creativity in the kits. Brands took bolder risks back in the 90s.
Danny Tiato, Mark Kennedy and Paulo Wanchope are all absolute legends though!
Seriously! I was expecting to see someone like Lee Mills or Paul Ritchie lol
Eleven idiots dreaming of success is what my dad always told me Eidos stood for as a kid! Miss it
Paulo Wanchope is one of the reasons City is known in Costa Rica. The man helped us avoid relegation. He’s a legend.
Hey now! Wanchope is one of the reasons I became a city fan! CONCACAF SUPREMACY!

I will fight anyone that even thinks about having a pop at Danny Tiatto. Though to be fair, he could handle himself.
I might be wrong but isnt this the kit that erling wore in the old photo
No, that’s right and his father played with some of those players, if not all.
Good old Paulo, those were the days.🔵💙💙 CTID 👍
Paullloooo Wanchope lesgooo
Kennedy was a cracking winger
Shaun Goater, or Shay Given?
I thought Shay at first.

My happiest city memories from those days. Minus aguerooooo of course
Could be worse got AJ and adebayor
At least Adebayor has this moment ![gif](giphy|dthT9dQjwkBNe)
My first Man City kit was a Nasri shirt lmao. Used to love watching him play for some reason
Nasri was great
Agreed. Used to watch him even when he was back in Arsenal. One of the players that got me into football
Dude, same! When Balotelli and then Nasri arrived was when I really started following City
Hahahaha same here man😭 that season is when I became a city fan and i have been ever since🫡
I remember being allowed to choose a player and got Anelka. I was gutted when he left months later
If it’s any consolation I had Berkovic
Wanchope is a legend fam! Great pick!
I mean 2 of them are still my Hero’s in fairness
Tiatto to this day has one the shittest but greatest chants ever conceived Everyone of those players just takes me back to Maine Road ❤️
You've only come to see the Wanchope!

Danny is absolutely loved among Australian city fans. Have met him a couple of times and he's a champ. He's the reason I'm a City fan.
Tiato was such a left footed player, the absolute stereotype of one.
Danny Tiatto. A good Werribee lad. Hell yeah.
