If you missed the fragments on iso nodes, you weren't paying attention at all. It was stated in multiple places, in-game.
As for the blitz stuff, that was not super well stated. It says earn fragments from blitz battles in quick rumble, but it's actually referring to the milestones. Void Knight had a very similar event where blitzes actually did drop orb fragments, they changed it this time to just be in the milestones.
As a player all you have to do is look at web milestones and ingame milestones once a day. Even if they don’t announce stuff (which they did multiple times) you will know what’s going on.
I do daily. Sometimes multiple time per day.
There is of course an alliance milestone for spending ISO energy going on, and I’m spending maybe 1500 ISO energy a day. And there’s a milestone which includes points for planetary orb fragments.
Neither of these indicated that there was anything special going on on the 24 stamina ISO orb nodes and I NEVER farm the 24 stamina nodes. There was a mention of it in the monthlong announcement, but it was line 5 and mentioned it would be active on April 17th for 48 hours, but zero notification or indication when it went live and the shards were available in selected nodes.
It’s okay to admit their communication is shit. Because mentioning that something is going to happen on line 5 in an announcement days prior to event go live isn’t what I’d consider a good job of informing us an event is active.

If you did your dailies then you would have seen a bonus on iso 8 nodes and maybe thought hey I wonder what this is and clicked on it. Anytime I see a bonus anywhere I always look at it before I start farming. This was a very easy unlock if you just paid attention to the game.
As for when it goes live. 5pm eastern time is almost always when something goes live. When your milestones for battle pass resets
I do my dailies but I don’t farm form the ISO campaign. I go to a type of hero and farm the shards that they are low on. For example, lately I’ve been farming for Controllers but only need 4 of the 5 types of ISO pieces.
My fatal flaw is that I only farm the 12 stamina nodes and all of the planetary orbs had been located on 24 stamina nodes.
Hi I know this does not answer your question but I just started playing Strike Force again for the first time since launch just to see how the game has changed. And I’m wondering will these “Planetary Orbs” expire after the Peter B Parker event ends? Or will they stay in my inventory and just rotate to another character when an event starts?
You get them in the blitz milestone rewards and the web milestone.

You can always search for shards by trying to open an orb you don’t have enough shards for. That launches a pop up window with the “find” button

There is a blitz event in milestones on the webstore. It rewards this orb for doing blitz.

They will disappear shortly after. Definitely open them prior to the end of the event.
