Try taking psyllium. Metamucil or just psyllium husk or powder. Mix in water, a teaspoon or two once or twice per day. Psyllium seems to bind everything together for a soft but solid poo.
Agreed. Worth noting, generic psyllium delivers more fiber per dose than metamucil, but tastes a bit like I always thought the shavings in a pencil sharpener must taste. (I have heard people claim it tastes 'nutty' and that the flavor can be concealed in coffee. These are both lies. I take it anyway.)
Just to echo this, psyllium husk is a game changer. Make sure you take the kind you stir into water, not the capsules. Also, you probably need to find ways to get more fiber in your diet.
I found they didn't work well. It's very gelatinous so I suspect it just didn't dissolve well when I swallowed as capsules. When it's dissolved in water it can stick to your insides like it's supposed to. It does taste pretty gross, be warned, but so worth it.
Seconding this. I also recently restarted probiotics (I like PB8), which have been very helpful to me in the past with just general digestive function.
Research Celiac disease because this autoimmune disorder can happen when hormones fluctuate. I hope that isn't what is the answer. I'm not a doctor but this happened to me last year. Take care of you!

Psyllium (Metamucil generic) was a game changer for me too after hysterectomy induced bowel issues.
Thanks, will try.

Just curious, why not the capsules?

You have to take a lot of them to equal the amount in a serving of the powder, and that gets kinda pricey.

Heather's Gentle Tummy Fiber is excellent. Amazon sells it.
I just started a daily fiber supplement, and it's helped a lot. I take Inulin because it's recently shown to improve brain health as well.
I ate yogurt with active cultures 1 or 2 times a day for a whole month (no skipping days) and got everything back to normal.

What were your symptoms
My only symptoms were stomach pains and diarrhea for 2 months.
