I'm a huge fan of Verbal Abuse and they covered 5 VA songs on that album along with stuff from TSOL and Minor Threat. It's right up my alley. I love hardcore and I love Slayer.
Repentless
Bland and forgettable. Tom sounds rough, no memorable riffs and it’s the same thing as older albums, just with less intensity. Such a bland and dissapointing way to end a career.
While I believe there are no bad Slayer albums I think Diablous is the least good lol. Also I don’t really count Undisputed Attitudes since it’s mostly all covers.
Any hate on GHUA or undisputed is weird. Undisputed is such a fun listen no matter what. GHUA for my generation was like Reign in Blood was for people in the 80s. I felt it to be such a formative piece of thrash that no one else was doing in that time period. There is almost nothing on it I don’t like
Undisputed Attitude is getting a ton of hate here. I, personally 1) Love the album and think it's the last great thing they did. The punk covers are amazing! and 2) Don't consider it an actual Slayer album because it's not originals aside from Gemini.
Worst album for me has to be either Repentless or God Hates Us All. I absolutely hate Tom's "scream everything monotone" vocals on GHUA and forward. Slayer from the 2000s on was a C tier thrash band at BEST.
I like Bloodline and like one other song off of it. I just really hate Toms screaming on it. If he would have done Seasons or SoH style vocals, it would have been better
Fuck yeah it does. It also brings back a lot of emotions when ever I listen to that album. It came out on the day of 9/11. I remember picking up the CD on my way home from work after watching that fucked up day unfold live on TV in the break room at work. Tom screaming about religious warfare and god hates us all hit home hard that afternoon.
Repentless was just so dull.
I don't really get all the Diabolus hate, at least it was fairly interesting. And the same people who keep on saying how important Hanneman was to Slayer also take a massive dump on Diabolus in Musica, which was mostly his baby.
Not me on the Hanneman part. I think by the late 90s he had kind of given up in a sense. Checked out but still there and heavy into alcohol.
It's ok though because the 5 absolutely legendary first Slayer albums are 80% Hanneman music. He made his mark on the albums that really mattered. Jeff wrote almost all of Reign In Blood, I think he's entitled to a Diabolus ( which is still WAY better than Repentless by King...)
Hanneman is God full stop.
Repentless isn’t just their worst, it’s a straight up bad, uninspired album of generic riffing and “solos”. It really shows Jeff was the heart and soul of the band.
I take it back. I put on Diabolus after my comment. It’s ok, you could say mid. There are good sections on most songs. There are some songs to skip. Tuned down guitar thing I don’t like, it sounds like sludge but not in a good way. I want to hear the guitars kicking ass, not background noise to the drums. I have only heard Christ Illusions a handful of times, just never listened to it really or no desire to. They kind of got monotonous after a while, that or I got less angry with the world. Repentless is the same way. I did like world painted blood though.
Diabolus In Musica.
What's all this trash talk on Undisputed Attitude? It doesn't even count as a Slayer album. It's all cover songs of classic hardcore. They did a good job too.
Undisputed Attitude, GHUA, and Live Undead are my 3 favorite Slayer albums, and I've been a Slayer fan since the early 90's. I love all the old school Slayer albums too, but these 3 have such an aggressive nature that many other Slayer albums lack.
I don't think cover albums do count, and Diabolus is actually an ok album to me while God Hates Us All I truly hate. The only album that constantly gives me a headache when I try to listen it.

Undisputed Attitude, or if that doesn't count, Diabolus In Musica
Undisputed Attitude rules because I'm an '80s hardcore fan.
First time I heard UA I was in High School and I traded my copy of Gwar Hello for it because I loved Slayer. I was disappointed.

Fuck yes.! I’m same, I rank this album in top 5 Slayer offerings.
I think undisputed achieve what they set out to do but Diabolus…yikes.
Undisputed rules though...

Gotta be Undisputed Attitudes Diabolus also isn't great but atleast its originals
diabolus
Undisputed Attitude. It just sucks.
It does but it’s a cover album
Diabolus

Personally God hates us all is 10/10 my favorite album
Diabolus
Edit: Sorry was meant to be Repentless.

Nah God Hates Us All rules.
Literally came here to say this. God hates us all fucking rules. Can’t stop the violence!
I love it! There’s no one immune to hate that flows from it!
I like Bloodline and like one other song off of it. I just really hate Toms screaming on it. If he would have done Seasons or SoH style vocals, it would have been better
God Hates Us All is underwhelming but I agree Bloodline is a phenomenal song.
Fuck yeah it does. It also brings back a lot of emotions when ever I listen to that album. It came out on the day of 9/11. Diabolus, with an honorable mention going to repentless Honestly, those are the only Slayer albums I hate. Everything else is aces!
Repentless isn’t just their worst, it’s a straight up bad, uninspired album of generic riffing and “solos”. It really shows Jeff was the heart and soul of the band.
Diablolus
Diabolus in Musica
Wow should’ve been show no mercy
Diabolus is weird now. I was all in on it at the time though. However, it doesn’t stand the test of time. My vote is diabolus

God hates us all
Repentless
Repentless and, as the kids say, it ain't even close.
Diabolus because it was the beginning of the end. And the production is so unlistenable on top of the terrible music.
Diabolus
Diabolus In Musica. What's all this trash talk on Undisputed Attitude? It doesn't even count as a Slayer album. It's all cover songs of classic hardcore. They did a good job too.
I don’t get the hate on repentless honestly. Diabolus it is.
Undisputed
The Undisputed Attitude hate on this sub sucks dude. That album goes fucking HARD.
Undisputed Attitude, GHUA, and Live Undead are my 3 favorite Slayer albums, and I've been a Slayer fan since the early 90's. I love all the old school Slayer albums too, but these 3 have such an aggressive nature that many other Slayer albums lack.
Undisputed Attitude
Undisputed Attitude
World Painted Blood, y'all are on the wrong track
Reign in Blood
Christ illusions
God Hates Us All
Not when Diabolus and Undisputed Attitude exist
I don't think cover albums do count, and Diabolus is actually an ok album to me while God Hates Us All I truly hate. The only album that constantly gives me a headache when I try to listen it.
Hell nah, thats gotta be one of the most underrated if anything
World Painted Blood is more underrated imo
Divine Intervention for me, got a lot of hate because it was the first without Dave, but it’s actually still quite great.
