Depends on your audience/interpretation of the assignment - album sales and rating in the metal community are only loosely correlated, if not often inversely correlated
So Far, So Good... So What!
People always talk about how great Peace Sells and Rust In Peace are, but the album that came between them is really good too.
The System Has Failed. In my opinion Youthanasia is referred to as underrated too much to actually be underrated. It's a great album that is slightly less popular than their mega popular records. TSHF is mentioned much less when talking about underrated Megadeth albums and really expands on the sound of The World Needs a Hero and returns much more to their prime roots.
Seriously. Whenever 21st century Megadeth albums get discussed this one somehow feels like it gets mentioned less than the duds like Th1rt3en and Super Collider.
I love this one and how it has some pretty funny stuff going on in the lyrics and so on. And the heavy parts are crazy heavy.
Is it true Nick Menza always pressured Mustaine to have a music video with hot women? So he did do the video for Motopsycho, only after Nick left? 😁
When is a total classic. Not a bad song on this one at all.

Youthanasia. Amazing cover to cover but no one seems to consider it one of their greats
I see a lot of people ranking this album very high
my brother in christ this is literally one of their best selling albums

Endgame
this is the right answer
Correct. Endgame absolutely slaps start to finish.
It's very highly rated by the Megadeth fanbase though.

It's super good and almost never talked about

The system has failed is legitimately their second or third best album IMO.
Cryptic writings!!! Was Last time their best line up fired on all cylinders!!!
Disintegrators is (imo) the most underrated Megadeth song besides (maybe) Blackmail the Universe. Cryptic Writings is so good!
Killing Is My Bussiness...And Bussiness Is Good!
Youthanasia
Youthanasia. Definitely
Youthanasia
Dystopia!
Youthanasia is already rightfully hailed as a great Megadeth album. Not in the same light as Rust in Peace or Peace Sells, but few are.
I think it is definitely rated below first 5 albums
The album that started it all, Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good!
Endgame
Super Collider is probably the most overhated album in all metal
Thirteen
The System Has Failed is the only real answer
The World Needs A Hero. Majorly slept on.
I love this one and how it has some pretty funny stuff going on in the lyrics and so on. And the heavy parts are crazy heavy. The System Has Failed. This was my first Megadeth album and helped me discover an enjoyment for deep cut music.
Cryptic writings
I think Thirteen is their most underrated, and it also happens to be my favorite.
The World Needs a Hero
