So my cable officially shit the bed yesterday. Neither my DVR or cable box work. Guess I'll have to annoy my mom with the race at her house. š
We might just get streaming only. She says I can watch the races at her house...until she realized that the racing season wasn't 3 months long.
We are probably going to Frontier internet instead of awful Optimum. It's certainly much cheaper.
I remember Ty Gibbs in a recent interview joking about how he's running less Xfinity this year because "he keeps getting in trouble down there", and well, at least he's self aware lol
Literally a P16 or better for Bubba and Iāll be fine.
Rest of the regular season the goal is obviously to win, but never finish worse than P16 and playoffs should be in play.
I know Iām in the minority, but Sonoma is always my favorite road course. Itās also the only track Iāve been to for a race, so it holds a special place in my heart :ā D
Getting my racing in before watching this one!

This might be a bit of a longshot considering his luck on road courses as of late and just his luck in general but I'm going with Blaney for the win today
BK has got to have the hardest road course fall off I've ever seen lol 3 2nd place finishes in a row at the Glen. Hasn't finished better than 10th in the last 18 road course races
Heās really never done well at Sonoma. Idk why he canāt get back to form at the glen. And he almost won at the roval for his 4th straight win in a row that one year until he went straight into the wall.
Typed this up for my iRacing teammates (we race in a league that tries to mimic real life as much as possible), but figured y'all would like this too if you're a racing nerd like me. Obviously, real life might have a little bit different figures for fuel mileage and the greater likelihood of full course yellows will impact some of this. This also assumes tires will make little difference.
Can do a about 39 laps on a full tank. Race is 110 laps with stage breaks at 25 and 55. Magic number #1 is Lap 71 and #2 is lap 32 to make it a two stop race.
Strat 1 - 2 stop: Take stage pts and stay out at stage 1 caution. Pit around lap 40 under green (Full tank). Stay out out stage 2 caution (may still get some stage points based off of pace but will forfeit stage points to people that pit at or before stage 1 caution). Pit again under green around lap 80 (prob only need around 15 gallons) and pack up the pit box. **PROS: Stage 1 points, always maintain good track position and stay out of the bullshit (except after pitting under green stage 2, but should have good field spread by then) CONS: Will need to take more fuel on final green flag stop**
Strat 2 - 3 stop: Take stage 1 pts and pit under yellow. Take stage 2 pts and pit under yellow and fill it up. Make final pit stop some point after lap 71 and take minimum fuel needed. **PROS: Stage 1 and Stage 2 points. Take less fuel on final green flag stop CONS: Forfeit track position for stage 3**
Strat 3 - 2 stop alternate: Take stage 1 pts and pit under yellow. SAVE FUEL, take stage 2 pts and stay out. SAVE FUEL, and get to lap 71 and pit. Would need to save approximately 6 laps of fuel to make this work, but will have a few caution laps to help. Doesn't really seem that feasible but could be an option. **PROS: Stage 1 and Stage 2 points while maintaining track position for stage 3. CONS: Fuel saving, risky. Have to take max fuel on final green flag stop**
Strat 4 - 3 stop alternate: Pit at lap 22 3 laps before first stage and forfeit stage pts. Pit at lap 52 and forfeit stage points and stay out at stage 2 yellow. Take minimum fuel somewhere after lap 71 to make it to end **PROS: Good track position for final stage. Take minimum fuel during stage 3 green flag stop CONS: Forfeit all stage points (might still snag some based on pace alone. Will restart behind those on strat 1 both times, but less fuel on final green flag stop might be enough to jump them.**
So at Martinsville back in early April, with Dude Wipes sponsoring the Xfinity race, they were giving out samples all weekend long. They were giving them out by the handful through the weekend.
I finally used my last free wipe today.
Starting behind Zane Smith and Harrison Burton does not give me confidence about Kyle's car today. Hopefully the 8 team can use some strategy to make up track position, they need all the points they can get.
RCR sucks and he is a stud at Pocono despite being in a shit car. He has no shot anywhere else. Maybe Dega and Atlanta but RCR is the worst team in NASCAR at this point. His pit crew sucks. He should have never signed with that dogshit team.
Just got back from a bachelor trip. Took the 7am flight to get home at a decent time. Feel like death. Going to take a little cat nap and hopefully will wake up before the green flag.
Catching up on yesterday. Boy did we need a Kevin Harvick in there to push Seig into Retzlaff. That was like watching two cats hiss at each other but you know neither is gonna fight.
As an european fan I'm used to road racing as this is what we do 'round here. To me the appeal of NASCAR is mainly the ovals so... not too interested in this race. Watching anyway and mainly cheering for Bowman and Bubba as they seem to have at least somewhat improved. For Kes I hope he gets through without too much trouble...
And, once again, we're back with our "Race Day Foods," *Sonoma Edition*
For today, one of my personal favorite meals, Chicken Parm and Spaghetti.
What is everyone else having today?
Burgers and Brats.
We're celebrating Father's Day a week early as my Dad will be on his way to a training seminar next weekend and I'll be running a disc golf tournament.

Dear denny
Holy shit he looks and sounds just like his dad š„¹
Check F1 out in the meanwhile. Absolute banger so far.
no, it's just Max Verstappen
Bro isn't even watching and wants to talk shit lol
I don't want to watch a series that hates new teams
Lmao, that's some comedic timing
Tell me youāre not watching the race without telling me youāre not watching it. Max hasnāt led the whole race
Brad Keselowski's fox cartoon looks makes him look like a Cohen brothers villain
Normally listen to bubbas scanner. But kinda wanta listen to will browns scanner today to see if he an SVG get into it ššš

He had retirement ads in 2022 but KFB didn't have a sponsor Then he was given (or discounted) a boat last year
I feel like he wants to but he is too damn consistent that Coach Gibbs refuses to let him go.
I thought Logano had lost all road racing ability but guess I was wrong.
When will Fox spoil the Indy result?
Stage 2 or 3
Another great day of racing, letās get a good wet weather race in Canada too
Man do I want nascar cup to go to Montreal . Beautiful track
The repave and rain led to a banger race yesterday. NASCAR would be great there
Indy, F1, and NASCAR all overlap today on broadcast tv generational ratings war
F1 might be done by green flag for NASCAR.
Should be an easy win for my boy Denny today, even if he didn't qualify well.
An easy win? Huh? Lol
So my cable officially shit the bed yesterday. Neither my DVR or cable box work. Guess I'll have to annoy my mom with the race at her house. š We might just get streaming only. Yeah Iāve noticed he seems to default to his old ways when he races in xfinity.
If the Penske speed is legit, Cindric has a good chance of going back-to-back lowkey
Iām not ruling it out, but Sonoma is probably his worst road course, and he didnāt qualify well. I would love for it to happen thoughĀ
I mean you never know! Chase Briscoe wasnāt good at Phoenix but got his first win there
Good point, I could see it happening. I wouldnāt be surprised if he got another win at some point this year
Jones starting dead last, thereās no where he can possibly go but up, right Legacy? RIGHT???
āThe number 43 car car has not made inspection, and will not be allowed to race today.ā /s

Literally a P16 or better for Bubba and Iāll be fine. Rest of the regular season the goal is obviously to win, but never finish worse than P16 and playoffs should be in play.
Heās been so much better on road courses the last couple years. A top ten would not at all surprise me.
I know Iām in the minority, but Sonoma is always my favorite road course. Itās also the only track Iāve been to for a race, so it holds a special place in my heart :ā D

I canāt wait to be disappointed with how theyāre gonna fuck this fast car up

I'm genuinely shocked by that. From 2011-2013, he was always in contention to win Watkins Glen. Now, he's a caution flag waiting to happen.
Heās really never done well at Sonoma. Idk why he canāt get back to form at the glen. And he almost won at the roval for his 4th straight win in a row that one year until he went straight into the wall.
It wouldāve been 4/5 I think, KB won the 2nd playoff race
I know man I remember that crash! I was so excited and then he hit the wall head on. All I could do was laugh because it was so random
My new go-to raceday snack is BBQ Fritos. I don't know how I went so long without them.
That and a Mt. Dew and you are set.
As a matter of fact, I have a Baja Blast ready to go.

No way a 3 stopper works today with new pavementĀ
Race day in the USA I'm more excited than cactus in a balloon store!
So at Martinsville back in early April, with Dude Wipes sponsoring the Xfinity race, they were giving out samples all weekend long. They were giving them out by the handful through the weekend. I finally used my last free wipe today.
I love dude wipes. I use regular toilet paper and then a few dude wipes to finish the job. Makes for a very clean asshole.
That's basically how I used them. TP, one wipe, and then a couple more squares of TP just to make sure everything is good and dry.
Starting behind Zane Smith and Harrison Burton does not give me confidence about Kyle's car today. Hopefully the 8 team can use some strategy to make up track position, they need all the points they can get.
Starting behind Burton is asking for a squirrel to wreck your day. ![gif](giphy|fl4MZmeXzPfrYh4FeR|downsized)
Lowkey a banger of a racing lineup today between this, Indycar at Road America, and F1 at Gilles Villeneuve. Hell Max isn't even on pole today
Max makes the overtake for p1 on the start and then leads the rest of the race, book it
Update?
I could see this being the end of red bull dominance for now
Anybody got any tips for cleaning old diecasts? Found a bunch of 1:24ās from the late 90s that have lots of grime built up on them
Dawn dish detergent and water
Also good for baby ducksĀ
KFB better win at Pocono or his season is over
What makes you think that will be his only chance?
RCR sucks and he is a stud at Pocono despite being in a shit car. He has no shot anywhere else. Maybe Dega and Atlanta but RCR is the worst team in NASCAR at this point. His pit crew sucks. He should have never signed with that dogshit team.
+200 for Suarez top 10 is tempting
It is, I donāt bet anymore but some great odds out there.
Just ran into Ross in Lot 2. Parked right behind us Also seems like all the crew guys are parked up here. Even saw one of the Steves (grey suit today)
Does someone got a link lol
You'll see them once the actual race thread is posted
Ty!
Just got back from a bachelor trip. Took the 7am flight to get home at a decent time. Feel like death. Going to take a little cat nap and hopefully will wake up before the green flag.
Brown, Waters, Reddick, AJ, Brad, Larson. I'm going for the upset.
Kinda disappointing that there's only 3 three "Road Ringers" (counting Ding-A-Ling in the 16 too).
Hopefully the track is slick today. The cars look on edge Friday and yesterday. Hoping for control chaos.Ā
Catching up on yesterday. Boy did we need a Kevin Harvick in there to push Seig into Retzlaff. That was like watching two cats hiss at each other but you know neither is gonna fight.
Seig was like, "Do you want to go?" while getting held back by a guy. I don't know why, but mid-pack/backmarker drama is more entertaining sometimes.
How did cam waters look yesterday? Missed practice / qualifying. Trying to decide between him and hocevar for fantasy
Good but his throttle is stuck to 75%. No idea if they fixed it
Hocevar
Thank you
Iād pick hocevar
Thank you
I have bet on Tyler Reddick top 3, with Byron Chastain top 10 , $4 for 65
On my way to the track! Who else is gonna see the race in person today?
šš»āāļø
Who are we picking today?
Logano breaks the winless streak.
Blaney first in practice & qualifying 3rd? He looks good
Hard for me to pick Blaney at a road course
Bowman. It's time to break that consistency streak in the right direction!
Yes please
Reddick

Hoping for a 22 win finally! The team as a whole has been on the upswing and hopefully they have speed in race trim to make it happen for the Capān!
I don't have high hopes for this race. But I'm just happy to watch another cup race.
Ty Gibbs for the win. Book it.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Dude. What a straight up gangster drifting and doing burnouts around the 21 all the way around the track.
That's GANGSTA Sir šÆ LOL
Will the race start right at 3:30? Hoping they start closer to 3:45ish to catch the end of the Canadian GP
Last race for Fox this year. *Thank fucking GOD.* Anyway, hope SVG can pull off a sweep!
In a perfect world, it would be Fox's last race ever.
Indeed, my friend. Indeed.
He's spotting for Will Bown today
So technically he can sweep
Yes
Would be possible if he was racing today
He can win as a spotter!
...Awww. :( What happened?
Just isnāt on his schedule. Which sucks. Wouldāve liked to see him race the cup car here
Going straight from Sky to Fox is always major whiplash
Justin Haley.
And, once again, we're back with our "Race Day Foods," *Sonoma Edition* For today, one of my personal favorite meals, Chicken Parm and Spaghetti. What is everyone else having today?
F1 in MontrƩal, Indycar in Elkhart Lake, NASCAR Cup at Sears Point. I'm thinking smoked brats with red wine sauerkraut, steak fries, and wash it all down with a case of Yuengling.
Some brisket burnt ends and wings
Smoked chicken wings for lunch. Then Iām making a beef stir fry over rice for dinner and to have for the next couple days for the work week.
Busch Light, Boneless wings and a salad from work, with sunflower seeds for a snack
Had me some Äevapi with rice and ajvar for lunch. May have some leftovers later. Apart from that probably some chips during the race. We'll see.
Burgers and Brats. We're celebrating Father's Day a week early as my Dad will be on his way to a training seminar next weekend and I'll be running a disc golf tournament.
Busch light with a side of Smoked baby backs with mashed potatoes and green stuff
Leftover spaghetti over tortellini with fresh graded parm on top for dinner and probably hashbrowns with cheese, sriracha, and sliced kielbasa.
Lunch is leftover pizza while dinner is grilled salmon
Salmon is my favorite fish, so that sounds really good.
Salmon with some bourbon glaze š¤¤
