I love virtual desktop https://preview.redd.it/i4s3ltbede8d1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=81ed8962bd615944a137fa992d0a899c4253e29f

Living_Reputation_63

where is this? New York?

dj88masterchief

It’s a virtual room and someone used I think a view from Toronto as a virtual picture outside the window.

Living_Reputation_63

How do I get a virtual room?

billcom6

Oh how I have missed full field rundowns like this. Love it!

rwxzz123

This has been a really boring race so far but NBC always tries to make it interesting. Fox would be talking about waffles and country music by now

Rishik01

Are NBC nascar races on peacock?

rwxzz123

Only a handful of the really big races like Chicago street race and Phoenix

OrneTTeSax

Seems like only the ones that actually air on NBC. You know, the ones you can easily get with an antenna. So annoying.

Rishik01

That’s wild cause IMSA and indycar USA races are still on there what are they doing 😭

Flat-Ad4902

It’s their license agreement with NASCAR. It doesn’t allow them to air cable races on Peacokc. I haven’t seen this specifically reported, but I imagine this changes next year with the new tv deal.

huck731

I cant find it

Rishik01

Dammit thanks for checking

MartinPch

Meanwhile in IMSA, the #33 LMP2 Ligier has crashed, race is official Oh yeah and it's about to rain too lol

Pemdas975

I’m pretty sure one of the last Chicagoland races had a tornado warning and they kept going until it rained

Capstonetider

A tornado watch itself shouldn't stop racing. It's strictly a potential for.

Blazethesol52

2018 I believe, the Larson - Ky Busch battle

RBF48

The Coke 600 had a severe thunderstorm warning (tornado possible), and they kept going until Fox took them off the air.

nascarworker

Anyone can take a pic of the classic trailer to see what new merchandise they have? Thanks.

atxbeerza

HRRR is showing some downright nasty stuff around 4-5PM est today. I sure hope Nascar and the track has a safety plan in place. Highest tornado risk and general severe storm risk in many years for this part of the country. It IS going to rain today, just a matter of when. If this turns into an MCS, it'll likely impact the track earlier than anticipated, if things stay discrete, storms will likely stay on track for 4pm - 5pm but withhold a higher risk of rotation. The only thing saving today from going wild is the CAP. All that being said, I look forward to Logano or Truex winning here per usual.

ShredMojo

I'm from Oklahoma and I don't feel like I should be reading about the HRRR and CAP for a race in New Hampshire lol Hopefully everyone stays safe.

atxbeerza

Lol. It’s most certainly the first time looked at the HRRR for New Hampshire. Felt weird.

the_godfaubel

You mean Bell?

atxbeerza

I'd prefer that, but he's going to get shafted somehow, I can feel it in my bones.

Hey_Kirby

Last time I was at Loudon KFB won. Hoping for the same

RBF48

Elton Sawyer just asked CBell if he has any announcements he wants to make...

Zloggt

God-dang East Coast Masshole-adajcent city slickers, going all up with trying to take all the tornadoes from the Heartland... That's *our* destructive display of nature, stick to your dang ol' blizzards and nor'easters, yeah!

SmuFF1186

Do we have tornado tires?

dinosaursandsluts

Does the track have a tornado shelter, Bob?

rwxzz123

They do plan on probably using the rain tires at some point. I don't think they'll race in the actual rain though, just "damp" conditions

RBF48

I hope MTJ gets a win today.

kk5fan97

More on the weather. The NWS says there is an 80% chance that they will be issuing a Tornado Watch for basically the entire state of New Hampshire (and the entire state of Vermont) within the next few hours. (I've lived in NH my whole life and I can't recall another time that virtually the entire state got put under a Tornado Watch and it would figure that it would happen when NASCAR is here) RaceWeather and NASCAR\_WXMAN both say that NASCAR should be able to get the race to halfway if not the full race in before any weather hits Loudon. [https://x.com/RaceWeather/status/1804917254745653671](https://x.com/RaceWeather/status/1804917254745653671) edit: the National Weather Service just issued a Special Weather Statement - [https://x.com/RaceWeather/status/1804918428978778279](https://x.com/RaceWeather/status/1804918428978778279) EDIT: THEY JUST ISSUED A TORNADO WATCH FOR THE WHOLE STATE OF NH [https://x.com/NWSGray/status/1804922357733314658](https://x.com/NWSGray/status/1804922357733314658)

NotADirtySecret

Luckily, a watch is just a heads up. A warning is when you have to start worrying.

epzik8

Well shit.

MartinPch

Mother Nature really finding new ways to fuck with NASCAR like she'll throw an entire huge ass meteor shower if she has to jesus christ man

wthreyeitsme

It rains frogs. )

N661US

Pocono ‘22 and Dover last year. Both times I thought I’d be able to see him win in person but damnit so close.

Boom_Confetti

love rain-threatened races

lbeasley28

Just got here….not raining but not exactly dry either

RBF48

https://preview.redd.it/34wq1g3pmc8d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6b088e51272a8ccdb9f76b0734051a1760da3399 Uh oh

TechnicalPyro

not really they seal it with a tar similar to the stuff used with asphalt. that melts with high heat if they're using jet dryers this is a known possibility

TheRealCheeeser00

Hope they race today. I need racing to cope with the heartbreak from yesterday. 😂

wthreyeitsme

What happint yestiddy?

TheRealCheeeser00

Custer got pushed out of the way while he was in the lead. With 2 to go.

wthreyeitsme

Thank you.

Norwest_Shooter

FOX Raceday was supposed to be on for this race but on Fox Sports Racing it’s just flattrack stuff. Is it the same on FS1?

RBF48

When RaceHub was canceled, it also canceled Raceday because it was filmed at the same place.

Norwest_Shooter

I don’t think that was ever officially confirmed, just that they wouldn’t have shows based out of the studio. But I guess with no truck race at the same track this weekend they wouldn’t have sent anyone to NH.

Potential_Plan_4533

From here forward they only plan to do raceday for the Truck Races, no more for Cup (at least for this year). Next year is TBD, rumor is that they will use the new NASCAR production studio since FOX is repurposing the CGI studio they have used the past few years.

gbswife1009

Yep

kk5fan97

It's the same on FS1.

GCM_Prothro18x

Is this the short track package, or the same package as Gateway?

Potential_Plan_4533

Yes same as Gateway and Phoenix.

kantonaton

short track

ChaseTheFalcon

I've got a feeling this is the week Logano gets his win

WakullaLoganoDawgFan

Hoping you're right! 🤞🤞🤞 I'm being realistic and if he can grab a top 10 and stage points today, I'll be a happy camper

RBF48

[Cars being pushed to pit road](https://x.com/bobpockrass/status/1804912694769660056)

mtaft1

Bubba needs a good race. He’s gonna need a win to get in playoffs

B17BAWMER

Hope he gets that win.

False-Ad4673

I hope he don’t make it.

NitemareV1

🙄

John_is_Minty

Is there a particular reason why the race is always a 301

thenascarguy

It used to be 300. Then they were sponsored by Lennox for a few years and they “go the extra mile.” We also had the Aaron’s 499 because they had a “For $99/month” deal.

mattf19

Whoever the sponsor was in the first race of 2008 wanted it. Even after they left, they never changed it.

stjblair

One of the old sponsors had a slogan the "they go the extra mile" hence the 301

nocluewhatIdoin

We like to complain about how long the cautions are in nascar but IMSA and WEC have some cautions that are stupidly long

kk5fan97

That last caution went as long as it did because they had to repair the Armco Barrier where the GT car hit. The first caution for the stalled car was a lot quicker.

kk5fan97

So some good news. RaceWeather is predicting that they should be able to get past halfway and likely get the whole race in today. [https://x.com/RaceWeather/status/1804901311344763245](https://x.com/RaceWeather/status/1804901311344763245)

Potential_Plan_4533

Yeah my app says we should be okay till around 5-6ET, so should for sure get to halfway maybe the whole race.

AardeWandelaar

Lets GOOO

nocluewhatIdoin

Testing to see if my flare changed from Larson and caruth

nocluewhatIdoin

Yep it worked

CarStar12

I need to do the multiple flair thing at this point, keep forgetting. This is another good reminder that I’ll quickly forget 😂

RBF48

Arca brake moment in IMSA

MartinPch

"LMP3s!!! NOO!!!" "whaat?" "sorry force of habit" "LMP2s!!! NOOOO!!!"

Paige578660

Quite a few of those LMP3 teams did move to the LMP2 class meaning their bronze drivers did too.

CarStar12

Another reason it scares me to hear the early chatter about a long term plan being GT3 Pro and Pro/Am and Hypercar Pro and Pro/Am being the end game for a bit. I don’t want Pro/Am in Hypercars 😂

MartinPch

Well that explains a lot then lmao

Paige578660

Yeah. Thankfully we do have the likes of Ben Keating who's a pretty darn solid bronze driver.

rwxzz123

If it rains enough to stop the race I hope it doesn't get to halfway. Sometimes it's exciting because they don't know when the race will end and they're all super aggressive, but sometimes it's just boring like the coke 600 this year.

mr_folgers83

So ummm, are we racing at 2:30?

RBF48

2:00/2:06

epzik8

Wish I had a way to watch IMSA right now

pgr6060

Just saw this but if you have a VPN you can set it to Canada, Mexico or somewhere in Europe and you can watch on the IMSA YouTube channel, it’s how im watching to get it commercial free. Edit: YouTube link https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=I7K139PoHAQ

nocluewhatIdoin

It’s on USA network for the first half

epzik8

I don't have cable, just online streaming.

nocluewhatIdoin

Ahh ok

bstone99

JUST PARKED IN THE EAST LOT. LETS GO RACING

Zeerid_Korr

In honor of the race being in New Hampshire we should all watch the classic film " On Golden Pond" while we wait out the rain delay.

JRod_NFLDraft

It’s always hard to predict winners when it comes to races. However, I think a current non-playoff driver gets the W today, but it won’t be a Hendrick car (Bowman). Some names I like based off the starting lineup: - Row 3 of Martin Truex Jr. and Ross Chastain - P10 Josh Berry - P15 Chris Buescher - Row 9 of Bubba Wallace and Ty Gibbs Truex ran well at NH last year and should be a threat. Chastain and Buescher seem due for a W. I believe Berry is on the verge of getting W No. 1. Wallace has had strong finishes in the last two races here. Gibbs will win asp, and I think today could be that day.

SuperSans

Not sure you can realistically believe Chastain wins from row 8, nor bubba.

yavimaya_eldred

Potential to be a wonky strategy race especially with the impending weather. Hard to rule anything out.

FishOnAHorse

I think it’s gonna be the Penske vs Hendrick show like last week - Blaney’s been so fast on the flatter tracks (Iowa and Gateway) and Hendrick is Hendrick.  Plus Chase and Ryan on the front row to start

BeefInGR

Already DVR'ing the US/ENG cricket match. Anyone know if this will be on The Cock?

Kittygoespurrrr

Wait until you see the collapse the US just had to end their half of the inning.

BeefInGR

Just watched it. Jesus...

BeefInGR

Worse than Afghanistan/Australia?

Commercial_Data_6290

Peacock won't have NASCAR until the Chicago street race this year. Supposedly it'll have all NBC races next year though when the new contract kicks in.

B17BAWMER

How do I watch peacock, do I need comcast or something?

Commercial_Data_6290

It's a streaming app like Netflix. Don't know if Comcast customers get it for free. It's $5.99 a month with ads and $9.99 without adds. Nascar isn't on it this week though.

B17BAWMER

Got it I was always under the impression that I needed comcast for it given how closely tied it is.

Garrett4Real

I love when things stream on the (pea)cock

_reschke

Watching IMSA at Watkins Glen makes me hope Laguna Seca and Willow Springs can manage to be around for a while. It’d be weird and sad not having these tracks.

GeetarMan9

IMSA on USA currently. Worth the watch until NASCAR comes on. Hope we can get the whole race in today. Dealing with weather as a fan at the track always sucks.

patmal_8

Whoever crashed on 106 causing this 7 mile backup is a dingus

RBF48

[Three hours until race and NASCAR is drying the track. Mist is lifting. Radar is promising. But area also has had cells that build quickly. Green flag scheduled 2:06p ET. USA network.](https://x.com/bobpockrass/status/1804892852087824839)

jonafish75

This was moved up? Glad I saw this post, I would have missed the start!

xelanalpak

Can’t wait to watch the USA (better get this fucker in) TODAY 301!

MembraneintheInzane

Those who are in NH, what're the odds we're looking at a Monday race here?

ZAHN3

NH here.. The forecast looks promising unless we get those tornadoes the local news were talking about this afternoon

DougieFreshRTR

Forecast and radar look promising. Rain is predicted to come in around 5pm. 3 hours after the start of the race at 1pm.

RBF48

>the start of the race at 1pm. The race starts at 2 pm EDT or 1 pm CDT.

DougieFreshRTR

Yeah 2pm EDT my bad. 1pm where I'm at haha

Ultrase7en

Just watched the F1 race, about to switch it to USA and leave it on for the next 12 hours🤣

MrBadBadly

I'll have Peacock on for the IMSA race.

Ultrase7en

I don't have peacock so oof

StewieChicken

Anyone with an extra ticket to the race that’s looking to get rid of it? Just not trying to buy full price ticket for my brother with Cerebral Palsy who usually can’t make it through an entire race. Just don’t want to buy a ticket and then have to leave early for whatever reason

Grand_Travel2890

Looks like it will be racing to 5:00. Last year’s race was timed 3 hrs 8 min.

RBF48

>Looks like it will be racing to 5:00. Problem with that its really close to Indycar timeslot for USA that time.

Ultrase7en

According to the guide though there is Indy pre race from 5-5:30, so we'll have a small buffer

MrBadBadly

CNBC is also a possibility to bump someone to.

rwxzz123

It'll definitely be on the NBC sports app regardless, which is free to anyone who has the NBC channels

Ultrase7en

True, but let's be real though no offense to Indy, but I think the finish of a Cup race will get priority over the start of an Indy race

RBF48

So it looks like they get the track dried and a popup shower/storm goes over the track type delay.

Rah_Rah_RU_Rah

watching the 05 season, and Jr impressed the hell out of me twice in 2 interviews. first was: q. Who in the sport comes to mind when you hear "underrated?" A: Denny Hamlin (Leffler was in the 11 at the time) and in another when it was: q. What's something about you that surprises fans? A: I don't like when people use racial slurs around me

thesedays1234

Keep in mind Dale Jr wanted Denny Hamlin to drive cup for DEI. Dale Jr was buddies with Hamlin. If he dropped Hamlin's name in 2005, it wasn't an accident.

Rah_Rah_RU_Rah

damn I figured, lol. but didn't know he wanted him in a car. heard another couple good what-ifs recently. Truex was gonna replace Sterling Marlin, and Jamie Mac would fill Mark Martin's void at Roush. and my god, do they lay it on thick that Mark is done full-time just for him to say sike lmao

atlutdprospects

Hopefully Goodyear brought their tornado tires for this one

btbam2929

Even a tornado couldn’t make them wear

Ok_Repair3535

🔥

Originalist5269

If they do a rain delay any chance the tv channel switches from USA because of Indy car, i wanna set my dvr

Immediate_Lie7810

Watching the Spanish Grand Prix. My takeaway is that while Max Verstappen and Red Bull are still the driver/team to beat, they are not as invincible as they were in the past two seasons

Spinebuster03

McLaren had the best car today they just had absolutely horrible strategy

Grand_Travel2890

lol Max is still winning.

Amkski

Yeah. Norris would have been up there if Russell didn't shitititid on his start

gbswife1009

I thought I heard they moved the race time up? Am I that tired today, or is it really going to be on earlier?

RBF48

It moved up from 2:36 to 2:06. If your guide says NASCAR Cup pre-race on USA at 2:00, that's when the race starts.

Originalist5269

Thanks because the dvr is so dumb I have to record earlier now. Basically if the network doesn’t change the guide to say “cup race” it won’t record even though the race is actually on.

gbswife1009

Ok, we watch on the app so we don’t always see the times which gets annoying! Thank you.

theamac95

2:06 green flag.

gbswife1009

Haha, ok! I thought so, but didn’t know if 230 was the updated time or if the bot wasn’t that smart 😂. Y’all I’m tired

rip_lyl

I really couldn’t find any value on the books today, so I took Kese top Ford +400.

Empty_Upstairs7343

Someone said there was a Gibbs vs keselowski.

rip_lyl

It’s Kese -190 or Gibbs +140. Not great value on either

02467

My father my sister and I are getting ready to head up. We haven’t bought tickets yet but we’ve committed to at least making the trip. Here’s to not having two washouts here in a row! Looking somewhat promising.

Cachal0t

I'm in the same boat. Just told my grandmother I wasn't going to bother lol. Now I'm fueling up my truck and heading up.

xHospitalHorsex

The threat of rain is going to give us some awesome racing today I think. Hoping we at least get to halfway without any delays!

Rstuds7

only misting here right now barely. so far so good

RBF48

I like how different Fox and NBC are on nascar weather move ups. Fox is like we gotta show pre-race cermonies and NBC is like we see you at green flag.

BeefInGR

* Fox saw what LA was gonna get and said let's run tonight.

FridgusDomin8or

fox: “NOOOOO we need to spend an hour airing a feature on the drivers golfing with Michael Waltrip before the race” nbc: “start broadcast during pace laps (optional)”

_reschke

Go to a in-depth Daniel Dye interview as the storm clouds approach

AgentofChaos17

Here we are, once again, with our weekly Race Day Foods post, *New Hampshire Edition.* I didn't feel like cooking today, so I'm having pizza and buffalo wings. What is everyone else having today?

Phalanx000

i went out fishing at 5:30am, just got back as it was getting hot. i got cookout burger, with cajun wrap, and beef quesadilla.

GoDuke4382

> i got cookout burger, with cajun wrap, and beef quesadilla. \#winning

lonely_centipede

Cooking up a blueberry & lemon Dutch baby for breakfast (yeah I just woke up fight me)

AgentofChaos17

Sounds good, and I just woke up too. I take every chance I can to sleep in.

Immediate_Lie7810

Homemade chicken pizza

AgentofChaos17

Sounds good!

xHospitalHorsex

It's gonna be Chester's Chicken from a gas station on the way to the track for me.

AgentofChaos17

Nice. Enjoy!

FridgusDomin8or

idk what im going for today but I went and got Dave’s Hot Chicken for yesterday’s race

AgentofChaos17

That's one place I haven't tried yet, but heard they are really good (I love spicy food).

FridgusDomin8or

i could really go for a good race today, the last few days havent gone very well and id love to get my mind going somewhere else lol however its New Hampshire and i know the racing here can only be so exciting so

US_Highway15

https://preview.redd.it/qx9ad67jvb8d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=548730d1a845d807c7e58d7ac97964e3d45c142b Well the forecast looks a lot more promising! 60% chance starting at 5 PM. If we run green a lot then we should be able to get the whole race in. Even if we don’t make it the whole distance, we should definitely be able to make it to halfway. I’d say to anyone debating on going, absolutely 100% make the trip up today.

lonely_centipede

Ty!
