My ship is my main home, has everything I need and follows me everywhere.
For roleplaying. Maybe you want your character to settle down? Not everything has to have a clear-cut gameplay purpose. You can always build and decorate outposts from scratch as well. I think a pre-furnished option like ESO would have been nice.
Honestly I just think you should be able to talk to the property realtors and pay idk, 5000 credits to have them furnish your homes, so if you want you can have an empty one or have a furnished one
Yes! This would have been great. I was thinking something like an interior design service where you get to choose from a few different styles of design for furnishing your homes. I suck at decorating and usually just end up with a room full of crafting benches, a mission board or two, a trackers alliance kiosk, a bedroom with a bed and a few posters. And a bunch of storage crates to dump extra stuff in.
The mod author is working on the exterior too. This is what they mentioned on Nexus in the comments for a future update. Gonna be really nice when they get done with it.
*The exterior overhaul so far progresses quite good! I've turned the area into an useable outpost space, added a proper landing pad and a ship builder as well as a couple mission boards. Most that's left now is actually making it all look pretty and adding a bit of life to it with patrolling guards/robots, etc. Probably a vendor as well to sell your stuff too.*
I am also a fan... these mods are tight... very impressive and have not hit a problem yet..
I am a hoarder by nature so have as many player homes as I can and the interior work by this author is My hands down favorite..

I didn't choose dream home as my trait in my Vanilla playthrough (I haven't used mods in this game yet) but I'm thinking I missed out because it looks pretty nice, even without this mod.
I appreciate the effort and creativity, but (for me) it's a no-go that you can't (re)move any furniture. I know that's a game engine <->mod thing, but ... oh well just sad.
I'm curious how the home is decorated, because the actual physical layout of the empty home is awful. For example, the only bathrooms accessible from either of the bedrooms involve walking through public spaces. The closest one to the master bedroom is on the other side of the house. It's just nothing like you'd build a house intended to be lived in, so I'm curious how this author dealt with that.
I have been loving the mod from the start. I made sure the vault housed all my starwars armor. It's awesome to go back and display all the armors that got me through the game.

Or be able to upgrade your house like in botw, so if you wanted certain parts to be furnished you could pay for those and fully upgrade your house
I have specific suits for different rp things on my mannequins with weapons by then to match, I feel like the ship gets too cluttered

Oh man I just now realized how badly I want a mod so that I can open the windows in my house

There are mods to give you the dream home without the trait, or it adds the trait as extra to unlock the home.
I hope someone someday makes a mod like sim settlements from FO4 so that we can have prebuilt habs to place.
