First time since 2015 I feel like we are THAT TEAM going into the year. I'm really excited to see what the offense looks like with Chip Kelly, a dual threat QB, and not one but two elite RBs. Seeing how we play on the road at Oregon in October will be a great chance to understand how dialed in Ryan Day has these guys.

My hope is that it’s a title year, historically the Buckeye teams expected to win it all haven’t because they’ve tripped up somewhere but with the 12 team era leaving a margin for error I like our chances. Realistically we split with Oregon, beat the cheaters back to where they belong, and at least make the semifinal. Anything less is a disappointment.

This is the first time in my entire life that this is truly a national title or bust season. Anything less and Ryan Day probably won’t be here next season.

I’m on board. 

Really? Onboard for firing Ryan Day if we don’t win a national title? Have then the coaching staff move on to other locations and top talent transfer out? Why would you want that? Day has built an incredible program with most probably the best incoming class we’ve ever had or could have expected. It is a culture of excellence and values. He is building a program to give us chances to win national titles, it is not a given that we do. I know Burke likes to say it is Natty for bust but I’m sure for him that doesn’t mean Day gets the axe. The reason that we have this chance with these returning players is because of Day work at culture building, not in spite of him. I know I’m overreacting to your statement but when I hear people say Day will/should be gone if we don’t win a title….the idiocy of these statements astounds me.
