Japanese companies are pretty darn uptight about stuff like that, but even if you don’t run into issues with squeenix the buster sword is just way too recognizable in the gaming community that it’s hard not to appear cheap and derivative when you just take it wholesale like that. I suggest doing something that references it but isn’t directly taking from it.
