Needless to say my ps4 pro was shutting down and the fan sounded like a jet engine. There was NO paste on the chip itself. Replaced with Arctic silver and all issues have been resolved.
For future reference, I used to use Arctic Silver, but I've found MX-4 and Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut to be better pastes. They transfer more heat and are non-conductive. 👍
I still think Arctic Silver is fine to use, but it's definitely not my go to anymore.
