Yep! You can change face, voice, body type in there. The stuff that isn't available in wardrobes! But it does have a small cooldown (four or five days?) after you use it, so if you accidentally accept before you're done, well...
Itās not a wardrobe where you fix it. You have to fix it in the large mirror he has in the shop. Or was it one of the changing rooms? š¤ It is possible to fix either way. Iāve done it many, many times because of the bug the market in Feb had.
When I started, I clicked through things really fast because I didn't care much and didn't expect to enjoy the game as much as I do. I have put in something like 650 hours though (and more money on cute outfits than I care to admit) so I'm reluctant to start all over! My compromise with myself is that I want to start a new account to go through the quests I've already completed so I can actually pay attention to them then go back to my OG account when I've caught up.
If you just want to read through dialog you missed, the Palia Wiki has most of it, I've gone back and read a lot of stuff just to freshen up my memory.
Iām spent a long time on the villagers, really trying to get them to like me, collecting items and taking time ton talk to them. It made me a bit bored of the game until I found out it was not main point of the game and things opened up to me.
My point being I donāt think you can waste anytime in Palia, it all pays off.
I rushed through all the dialog without reading any of it and I regret that the most! They do say some interesting things and I wish I paid attention to it.
I have SOOO many quests backed up! I started when the market was up and just focused on game play. I've been catching up to the quests lately (at least once or twice a week I'll solely focus on the quests- finally finished getting the masks! Lol)

I really, really want to restart, but I bought outfits and don't know if I want to have to repurchase those items, and I dont want to lose the cute stuff i got from the Market. I wish we had the ability to start fresh. I may just say the hell with it and do it anyway. Not like I'll lose my current account.
I play on switch and you can have multiple profiles so the game progress isn't the same on each profile so I have another one I can start, if that makes sense

Kinda reminds me of my brother and his wifeās house. They have 2 cats and a golden retriever puppy. Puppy likes to eat the cat food and anything it can get itās mouth on, so they put the automatic cat feeders on the kitchen countersā¦. Which I guess would be fine, except one of the cats INSISTS on sitting (with butthole directly on) or lying (with all his fur directly on) the mat that you use to put wet dishes on.
Iāve mentioned this to my brother (Iām honestly a little scared of his wife getting upset, so I havenāt brought it up to her directly, but I assume heās mentioned it by now to her) yet it clearly doesnāt bother EITHER of them because they continue to allow it to happen. So whenever Iām over there, I insist on hand washing any dishes I use beforehand, and drying them with fresh paper towels that hang where no cat or dog can reach themā¦ cause Iāve witness their puppy firsthand; snatching the towels that hang off the drawers around the kitchen and chew on them and drag them across the floor š

I feel like I rushed through some things in my extreme excitement to really dive into the game. I zipped through a lot, and I feel like I skipped some things like dialog in quests. I wish I did the relationship progression with the villagers different, I wasted renown on writs instead of upping my focus, I wiped out all of the trees and rocks on my plot thinking the trees would grow back .. just to name a few things lol. I want to take my time and really appreciate the game.

I understand where you're coming from but other than clearing the plot (something I regret myself, too!) there is no way to waste things like renown, you'll max everything anyway by the time you've done all quests and achievements and so on. I personally got my max focus up to 300, then spent all renown on exp boost to 100%, then buy all writs and then all wallpapers etc and now I'm just upping my max focus. If you did things in a different order it's basically a bit less efficient but it"ll never be "bad" long term.
The only long term thing that's irreversible is the plot clearing, so I'd think about whether it's worth to restart just for that, no? š¤
I actually created a new account and have been bouncing back and forth between the 2. I'm really enjoying starting from scratch with the knowledge I now have since I have been playing since the day it dropped on the switch. I have more patience and haven't accidentally sold or cooked items I should hold, don't have to trash 20 tents I crafted on accident because I Mashed buttons too fast, have a name I like a lot better. Maybe one day we will be able to gift other items to friends, and I can move my Maji Market stuff I have dups of to my new account, but I'm loving it!!
it would be awesome if they would add the ability to have multiple characters, could even be limited to 2 or 3 max
edit: i spamclicked most of the dialogues and regret it sometimes. missed a lot of the story because of that and wish i could have a second character to go through the story again
Iāve been thinking about this too. Hit level 4 friendship with most NPCs and, outside of the (goddamn) Wind Temple tasks, I think Iām done with most of the quests too. Iām too anxious let go of my progress though. I just need to catch that unicorn fish and the void ray to finish my bundles!!!
The Wind Temple should be fixed now! I was stuck on it for months because of the bug, but with the last patch they were able to fix it for most folks :)

I am a serial restarter of almost every game I play. I learn a bunch of new things that change how I want to play. Nothing wrong with it if youāre having fun! Canāt show off your high levels to your friends, but who plays games just for that anyways?
My biggest regret is that I chopped all the nice trees on my plot early on because I had no idea all planted trees will be identical. Now there's no way to get them back!
I didn't restart, per say, but I made a second character. I still play my first character the most, but sometimes it's nice to pop on the second to take things slower again and enjoy the beginning.
I would merely caution that the overwhelming amount of quests is going to happen again. I started in Jan and was playing pretty chill, not worrying about investigator furniture quests etc but even as I ran around giving random gifts, exploring nooks and crannies for fun, I couldn't help stack up the friendship quests, zillion found object quests, all the vault quests (which can somehow land are simultaneouy and don't seem to have any level gating), quests from fishing up an object, quests from rummage piles, etc etc
if you want to restart it does seem many folks here have had positive experiences. but if you think you can play "slower" without acquiring a backlog of 30-40 quests I'd advise you to think again.
I understand this! most games get overwhelming with quests. The issue I am having is that some of the quest I have require items only obtainable once you reach a friendship with a character. Instead of trying to increase all my friendships equally I have focused on a few characters meaning I will be stuck for ages leveling the other characters up just to finish some quests. And Iāll get more guests whole leveling them up. I donāt know it just overwhelmed me. So Iām going to try to level everyone up together for the most part.
I started a 2nd account because of this myself and I have had a much better experience this time around. I would level all the friendship levels together, because it did help alot this time around
If you just keep playing then your friendships will even out... I befriended Nai'o first, and only him, to get apple seeds before lvl 10 farming, and by now I'm lvl 4 with most villagers. I found once I started paying a bit of attention it takes about two weeks (if that) to reach lvl 4 with a villager. I'd recommend just focusing on relationships for 2, 3 evenings of playing and you'll save a lot of time compared to starting all over. And then you can just do the quests quickly, the vast majority of them don't take long.
I get that like for me my house was what was stopping for a while. but youāll always have your first account if you decide you want to go back to it!

I kind of want to restart again because I messed up my Shepp ceremony. I had it during the first Maji Market, and I rushed through it so I could get to the market. I thought it was just the first part of having a Shepp and didn't realize that it was the whole thing. I have so much more progress now that it would be killer to restart now. Maybe I'll go back to the first save that I abandoned and do the Shepp quest there.

I belatedly realized my female character has a booming male voice. Donāt know how I missed voice selection when creating my toon, lol.
I usually play with the volume low or off with my audiobook playing or something ~~while~~ in between working; it wasnāt until just the other day I had the volume loud enough to notice my voiceā¦ and that there are audio cues for various events.

Funny I left the male voice on mine and when the fairgrounds travel reset my appearance I was unfortunately defaulted to a female voice. I'm so glad this topic came up - now I know I just need to use the mirror at Jel's so I stop having that giggle!

I have been playing for some time, but only in small intervals as ā¦ life. But, Iāve made some progress that I really donāt want to lose. I also donāt want to create a second account. I donāt play games, this was my first attempt at getting into them. So because of that I messed up a lot of things. I built my house weird because I wasnāt aware of how it worked. Just many things that I wish I had done differently. Some quests I did too soon or out of order and they donāt make sense. Everything is a mess and so disorganized I donāt even want to play anymore.
Sometimes you need to reset that way you can enjoy the game more. Iāve had several games Iāve done a reset for and Iāve enjoyed playing them more because of that. Loosing progress always sucks but you get the progress back again knowing what youāre doing. You get to experience the game again but be able to rewrite the mistakes you made the first time. Sometimes you just need to reset to enjoy the game to its fullest.
I have thought about making another account JUST to get the rocks, bushes, and smaller trees back on my plot now that I know what I know. But I want to keep my current account and just make another one for the do over lol. I worked hard for the progress Iāve made lol
i uninstalled it bc the quests i have will take some leveling up in the cooking skill, finding rare bugs and fulfilling other usersā requests (which i have no way of getting resources as well). also the mask quest where it says to figure out the meaning of the masks but donāt i have to go into jinaās temple for that (and i can only go in there once i level up my relationship w herā¦???) anywaysā¦ i havenāt been getting any other quests so i was like whatās the point yk š

Listen, itās a game. You can play the game in the way that works best for you, and it is supposed to be fun. So if you are not having fun, do what you gotta to make it fun again.

I think you can change that at Jel's! Or is voice something you can't change? You can submit a ticket to change your name, maybe you can ask for that.

Sometimes you just need to reset to enjoy the game to its fullest.
Can you delete and start again without creating a new account? ETA, I am a switch user, and like I said I have no experience with any gaming.

I have thought about making another account JUST to get the rocks, bushes, and smaller trees back on my plot now that I know what I know. But I want to keep my current account and just make another one for the do over lol. I worked hard for the progress Iāve made lol
I rushed through quests and Iām stuck on some because I havenāt built my friendship high enough.

Same. I didnāt create a login at first because I didnāt expect to love the game so much. So now I cannot get any login prizes and that bums me out
i uninstalled it bc the quests i have will take some leveling up in the cooking skill, finding rare bugs and fulfilling other usersā requests (which i have no way of getting resources as well). also the mask quest where it says to figure out the meaning of the masks but donāt i have to go into jinaās temple for that (and i can only go in there once i level up my relationship w herā¦???) anywaysā¦ i havenāt been getting any other quests so i was like whatās the point yk š
I was on like level 1 with jina when I got that quest, sheās easy to level up, just give her mushroomsĀ
You should absolutely do this if you want to! Your choice is valid and 100% yours, good luck doing it all your way one more time, friend!
Oh but also, **don't delete your old account!** It's fun to have two when you want to experiment... AND they might fix the problems sometime in the future for you anyway!

Iāve considered it, but ultimately decided I didnāt want to redo the work. Listen, itās a game. You can play the game in the way that works best for you, and it is supposed to be fun. So if you are not having fun, do what you gotta to make it fun again.
