Aside from Aakriti (love that ooze), some other deities I think that could work: * [Arshea, Spirit of Abandon](https://2e.aonprd.com/Deities.aspx?ID=113): quoting their entry, "*They encourage their followers to try new things, to think in new ways, and to wear new forms.*" * [Laudimnio, The Sovereign of Alchemy](https://2e.aonprd.com/Deities.aspx?ID=274): Another one with an alchemical bent like Aakriti, but if you want a more steampunk cyborg aesthetic than an ooze shapechanger one. Innovate on metals by experimenting on fusing the organic with the inorganic! * [Uvuko, The Diamond Ring](https://2e.aonprd.com/Deities.aspx?ID=228): If you want a dragon deity! He's more of an agriculture god but his edicts and anathema, and one of his concerns being metarphosis, I think you can do something with it. I also suggest filtering by domain--Change and Creation (maybe Freedom?) would be a good start I think.

Level34MafiaBoss

Arshea is such a based deity

SmartAlec105

> When appearing to mortals, the Spirit of Abandon most commonly appears in that person’s own body so the person may see how beautiful and perfect their own form is—after all, if a divine being has chosen to wear it, it must be perfect. For people who don’t fit in the body they currently wear, Arshea often appears in the form reflected in their heart and soul. Incredibly based. Body positivity and gender affirming.

[deleted]

And for some, Ego Stroking. Sorry, but there are definitely people that would get a big head over a Deity considering their form worthy of being used as a representation.

Hoixe

While that's true, I doubt Arshea would appear to those people in any level of frequency.

RandSandal

Now I imagine some narcissistic dictator who was visited by Arshea once when he was depressed, got "inspired" and proceeded to build his personality cult. Maybe he can be used as a villain and heroes will need to defeat him with a help of Arshea themselves as she is ashamed of him.

StupidAngryAndGay

There's also the trans bug that I can't remember the name of EDIT: Aakriti, somebody else in the thread beat me to it

SmartAlec105

Trug. Wait no, that’s the hypnosis herb from Ascendance of a Bookworm.

Baprr

Well, Desna is a butterfly)

Meet_Foot

Wow. That’s actually a great point.

[deleted]

Sorry, I don't see how Desna promotes morphing your body.

Baprr

She's a goddess of travel, and that should include all kinds of transition.

Volleyballfool

What I came here to say!

Konradleijon

I never understood the body modification being evil thing

[deleted]

Stems from ideas of corruption and imperfection. You're changing things because they aren't right or too weak. Or something else is changing you against your will. I know the first thing I list isn't evil, but it can go either way. For the latter however, well the Fleshwarps aren't always willing. It's evil because a lot of people see the natural form as Perfect, and changing it is seen as bad. As well as forcing the change on others. It's a complex thing for sure.

theVoidWatches

Forcing a change on others is definitely evil, but I don't see why it should be for yourself.

[deleted]

Think of it not as changing to be who you feel you really are, but to spite the form you have. Like I have said, a lot of people see their natural form as perfect, and any alteration is an imperfection. It's definitely not a subject I can really do justice. It's more doing it for ego than anything I guess.

theVoidWatches

Saying that another person modifying their own body by their own free will is evil is really just forcing your own standards onto that person, though. Pretty much everything generally considered evil is something that's done to another person: murder, assault, rape, theft... hell, even destroying nature affects other people, because nature belongs to everyone or no-one, not to whoever was destroying it. Body modification, though...? Calling it evil is just letting an instinctive disgust response dictate morality, in my opinion.

Fireybanana42

There is Narriseminek, a protean lord who has "transform the bodies of willing creatures" among their edicts.

Chromosis

I would maybe suggest Alseta (sp?) as they are concerned with any and all transitions, whether through a portal or a new phase of life. A metamorphosis could be that.

Dendritic_Bosque

Yes Narrisimenek loves transformation it's one of his edicts. And he provides good characters access to the DELERIUM DOMAIN https://2e.aonprd.com/Deities.aspx?ID=144 Category Monitor Demigods Edicts Divine the future, transform the bodies of willing creatures, rebel against organized structures Anathema Refuse to speak to a keketar, eschew a challenge by turning down a promotion or an advancement Areas of Concern ascendance, keketars, and revelations Follower Alignments CG, CN

[deleted]

Why would the Delirium domain be important?

Dendritic_Bosque

A it's rare for good folk B it offers a very creative blindness-like spell that can be mass cast at higher level and hostile hallucinatory terrain all at will saves. They strike me as great focus spells with amazing opportunities for ranged characters , evading allies and a fun bon-mot build

Dendritic_Bosque

Oh, and synesthesia which is a lot like bestow curse and NOT an incapacitation effect

Least_Key1594

synesthesia best occult spell 2kforever.

vaderbg2

Maybe a deranged splinter cult of Irori which sees that kind of metamorphosis as part of their physical self-perfection?

InvestigatorPrize853

Why deranged? Transformation and modification does not automatically mean body horror weirdness.

vaderbg2

Irori seems more like a "perfect my body through training and spiritual mastery" kinda guy. Using body modifications might be seen as cheating for many of his Followers.

InvestigatorPrize853

Which doesn't make that branch faith deranged, just a different sect/denomination....

Least_Key1594

Agreed. Bodybuilders often use steroids. Leads to Natty/notNatty arguments. But both are in the weightlifting and body improvement groups. Just is different sects of Irori. They might not get along, but at the end of the day sometimes neither do protestants and catholics.

President-Togekiss

The first though that comes to me is the Lantern King, eldest demigod of Transformation. Bright could also apply here.

maximumhippo

Technically, they're a Starfinder diety, but you might look into [Oras](https://aonsrd.com/Deities.aspx?ItemName=Oras). One of the suggested blessings is a mutation.

ZombieNikon2348

Couldnt you just make one up?

ZombieNikon2348

Is inventing your own deity somehow bad?

GeoleVyi

[Technically, all of them?](https://2e.aonprd.com/Feats.aspx?ID=1173)

MrBirdmonkey

Iori + splinter faith

Grave_Knight

Maybe Black Butterfly?

No_Lengthiness_4613

Yes, I welcome you to join the Joyful fellows of Zon-Kuthon! We dont force anyone to become the truly blissful, infact we are against such barbarity of taking away free will. Becoming a fellow of the most joyful ones is entirely your choice, like adding Knorr stock pot.
