Without seeing the job, it’s hard to say if the price is high or not. As an owner of a Plumbing/Gas fitting company - I take greater issue with the format of the proposal. Amateur a/f.
Get three proposals from three different plumbing contractors, and go with the middle price. That’s who is usually the most fair.
Heck no. Any contract that says that you need to pay _their_ legal fees is a scam.
There might be legitimate reasons why you don't pay-- for example, they flood your basement. So you might want to defer payment until the damage is fixed by them or their insurance.
I wouldn't sign that. Get a more reasonable plumbing company.
Unfortunately the cardinal rule of "downvote does not mean disagree" is happening.
Point is, all those are from plumbers who want the upper hand, not people who believe in fair and honest contracts. I've worked with a lot of lawyers. Judge for yourself.
Solid, plumbers need to cover themselves 💯
Contracts protect all parties. This looks super reasonable to me.
The format is weird and the wording is a bit clumsy, but this is 100% a real estimate. If you want the work done youll sign it.
Seems fair and to the point according to 'my cousin Vinny'
Yeah, seems about right
If this is a commercial property, you should have a lawyer already. Ask your lawyer.
I'm not a commercial plumber, and it's hard to tell based on just the contact without pictures or drawings. How long did they say it would take them?

I thin you missed the "...In the event it becomes necessary to hire an attorney to collect past due sums..." part . . .
It’s for a commercial property, it’s completely normal What skilled trade are you in?

I think you’re just not familiar with contracts.
Contracts always have a part about charging a customer for legal fees to collect payments, and for returned check fees etc.
