Yep, I copped an Evolutions Charizard for like $5 from a local sports card shop, owner left some kid in charge for the last two hours who didn’t know jack about Pokemon.
“How much for the fire chicken?”
“Uhh idk Pokemon, $5 cool?”
“You got it boss” **smash buy button and shove money at him**
Mhmm. Got a MP southern island mew for $5 years ago, now it goes for $40. Got a error vaporeron for $7, whether a lot now as LP.
A lot of my vintage pokemon cards were cheap before the fad picked up steam. Literally not too many people gave a fuck as they do now
You must not be from a big city. These things do happen and often. That’s how I bought two Mewtwo original 150 holo. TWO. For fifteen dollars from the same vendor.
This is my favourite of the banned cards. The graveyard artwork was deemed inappropriate and replaced with a silver void-like finish on the English version.
IMO a Gengar without graves is like an Alakazam without spoons. Great card.
Yea good story bro
Thanks bro
In todays episode of things that never happened:
A streamer sent me mine for free just because. It could happen
Agree. Someone got a very nice, fairly valuable error card for cheap from my own ignorance a few years back. Very r/nothingeverhappens
I wish I could show you doubters my old collection and how much I sold it for. People get lucky and people do stupid things and sell for mad prices. 😭

I had a mint base set zard in my collection that I pulled as a kid 😢

Yeah I get some comfort that I got rid of my collection before Pokemon Go. I don’t think it was popular then.

I got this from a japanese gym leaders pack when I was little and used to run it in my deck making up what the attack did
Lmao reminds me of my Japanese Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon card as a kid, used to play it and then make up the rules or declare victory outright
Everybody stood up and clapped
Bullshit. I bought this for $60 in pretty good condition a couple months ago.
Yeah normally this card is [much more expensive than $5 nowadays](https://ebay.us/CntGwz), but who knows, maybe OP found an inexperienced seller.
yeah and i found a psa 11 illustrator pikachu in my grandmas basement for free
Nice that’s the only banned art card I’m missing, so jealous! Nice find!
I can see it happen, people are able to get $5000 dollar guitars for $200 at garage sales. It’s not like this sort of thing is uncommon.
One of my fav cards as a kid
💜
Fuck yeah ! Sweet card
