Being in an all-attacker team and actually winning against a balanced team is such a mood tbh
Really goes to show how easy it is to snatch victory just by last-hitting the green(or, now black) noodle
Lol you are correct sir, I’m fairly new. Started playing more often this year and peaked at like 1700ish. From ultra till 1500-1600 you can literally play anything as long as you have a mix of mons and not all just attackers.
He could use a rework. The Dive/Air Slash build is still pretty unique but Surf/Hurricane is now basically just worse Delphox Fire Spin/Fire Blast. And his ult is just a normal move on Duraludon.
gotta go surf/air slash. Was my main season 1 that carried me to the top of the rankings for a bit. Was usually carrying entire team. I still mess around with him from time to time but now ttar has caught my attention
Unless it was changed, you can even use his Unite move WHEN you are on Lapras's back.
Only did it once with a friend but it did get me 2 kills and greatly weakens the opposing team for my allies to finish them.
At the end of the day, the core game is fun, and most importantly its just 10 mins so why not. Its just the devs wtih matchmaking hell + broken mons and the idiot players that make this game hell.
Same lol I personally use barrier and just stop people from moving no matter the situation (and confusion stuns even longer so my teammates at ray are just watching me constantly stun everyone
Talonflame is my go-to if I'm in a rut. The efficiency it offers as an assassin, or the versatility as a slippery and covert jungle stealer behind enemy lines is unmatched.
I like x-atrack, play Rough and whirl pool. Pretty much have built in xspeed already.
If you get your play Rough going, pop xattack, hit whirlpool, bounce on them , and usually . play Rough is good to go again you can just about land the second play Rough while xatrack is still up. It melts just about anyone.
Espeed BR lucario
I had a lot of practice with it and it’s fun to play even though there are many counters and Espeed does lesser damage than PuP and CC.
Hoopa, and not Hyperspace Hole. Trick + Shadow Ball. On solo queue, trusting your teammates to take your portals gets annoying, so I opt to keep people alive with my trick shield while being able to stand up for myself pretty well. I love playing it with friends because I can keep them alive and assist in combat by doing cc, raw damage with the shadow balls themselves, and slowing opponents.
CC stands for "Crowd Control" because it comes from other games (MMOs) where you need to use something like a stun to help control an NPC when they're about to do something that will mess you up.
Ttar when I can get away with it. Mon can body several meta mons if it snowballs. Pretty sure the only reason it isn't meta itself is because of its early and mid game. Before someone calls it meta, double check it's pick rate. I know everyone already knows, but there's always someone.
Edit: If I can't, I just try to fill for team balance. I'll be the one defender with four attackers while dying inside.
I will literally stop playing Pokemon as soon as they become meta
I cannot be part of this problem and I must be unique
Go get em Full offense Wiggly and dragon pulse Duraludon
I use Machamp also. Around 55% WR in Masters 1600. Soemtimes my ult wipes out half their team, sometimes i phase through the enemies and start punching air lol
My friend plays cross chop and the other one that isn't submission and calls himself cross country machamp whenever he escapes a battle. He has not failed once.
Venu. Have used him since s1
Will continue doing so, tho to be fair venu was always close to being meta
Also, machamp. I have like, a 61% wr with him after 250+ matches. I usually play him when my back's against the wall
Garchomp was my first main so I was shocked to know it's considered "bad" to the point it was deemed non viable at some point.
EDIT: Ah, sorry. I read "Grachomp" instead of "Machamp".
Delphox. XY are my favorite series and absolutely like Fennekin and it's evos. Been my favorite starter since then
I love foxes and I hate cold so it's a perfect match
I don't keep up with the meta other than my best friend who educates me as to why *insert mon* is insufferable. "That's their meta build atm."
So I'll say, *insert non-EX mon here*.
I really enjoy chandelure but I find myself playing more as a support. I LOVE them as a partner when I’m playing HV sylveon if they are doing the burny furniture move lol
I haven't seen anyone else use them so I'm assuming they're not part of Meta, but Goodra with max level Leftovers/Aeos Cookie/Shell Bell and X Attack as the battle item
Ngl might replace the leftovers but besides that love this set
I use resonant guard instead of leftovers but other than that Goodra is same. It is so usefutl in team fights to just drag enemy away from objectives or goals.
Gardevoir. I love the mon's design and the sound effect present in her move sets. Though I mainly used her in ranked if my spot in the jungle is secured.
Tbh I mostly just play in offline against bots for fun, but when I do open the game up I usually like to play Decidueye. I have no idea if that's meta or not - I'm sure the meta has changed a bunch of times whilst I've just continued clicking Razor Leaf and drinking all my HP back with Drain Crown.
Everyone hates on Cinder players that use potion and awful items, but they reconsider when using Cinder properly kitted (scope, muscle, scarf, eject, 6 brown max crits)
Im pretty FotW (Flavor of the Week). Dont hesitate to use anyone that seems like they can do something cool.
Lot of characters are just kinda boring or not able to put their gameplan into practice so i dont bother with them, but a lot of pokemon get overlooked.
Pretty sure Crabs been my most used pick since launch beside Garchomp.
People have never known how to engage with Rock Tomb and they still dont.
At least people dont try to "burn me down" when i Ult and stand on Stealth Rock anymore
I don't usually play ranked too often unless some missions call for it
But overall for ranked/non ranked quick matches, Tsareena since she's one of the few I'm actually decent at, i think....
Mainly became 90% i don't know who else to choose and haven't spent much time trying others out more in the past until recently...
Outrage Build Dragonite. I don't understand why people Say that "Hyper Beam Dragonite Is Better than Outrage" or "Dragonite Is Just bad" when he can obliterate your and your team's assholes in 5 hits max
Aegislash. The only problem is that your randoms usually have to carry you through early game, but once you get access to shield form he is a beast and can easily carry you the rest of the match.
Dragonite and Umbreon (Wish). At least I can survive on my own if needed plus Outrage just feels good.
In Umbreon's case, I'll be a "mini Support" if a teammate looks for me for heals. My inner Support main kicks in a lot. So I love Umbreon being able to do double duty.
Decidueye. A total glass canon but with some good strategy, positioning, and stealth, you can absolutely wipe the floor with the enemy team. Stealth Sniper go brrrr
Blastoise, Buzzwole, and Miraidon. These mons have been terrible as of late but I will keep using em’ despite not being meta. 😔
Jokes aside, I can’t really be part of this because I’ve mained Btoise since day 1 and the big boi despite its ups but mostly downs is the longest lasting top tier defender in the game.
I’m a Decidueye main, so there’s that. …and there’s also my murderous eldegoss. I don’t know if she’s meta or not… but she’s always coming in clutch me.
Scizor. The popular opinion here seems to be "it's garbage" but my golden ribbon, master achievement Scizor says otherwise. So far it's the only pokemon that lets me forget about my awful teammates because I'm too busy fighting the other team (or starting fights when my teammates are around but completely oblivious).
Mamoswine! I've been one-tricking the big stompy boi for several Ranked seasons now. The one advantage of being off-meta is that no one knows how to counter Mamo lol.
Charizard, decidueye, cinderace, garchomp, talonflame, does absol count? I use Blastoise and Espeon pretty frequently too but more because I love the Pokemon themselves rather than just them being strong
anything I want, players are bad and you can win with anything up until you get really high ranked anyways.
Play with confey then 💀
I do it all the time in soloQ. Still fun!
My partner and friend do all the time, they find it fun
I do even if it’s not the best I enjoy human shields
Lol
Pokemon shields, to be exact..
Doesn't hesitate to play whatever the team needs Absolute chad. Respect ++
Naooooo. . . All attackers! I joke I joke.
Being in an all-attacker team and actually winning against a balanced team is such a mood tbh Really goes to show how easy it is to snatch victory just by last-hitting the green(or, now black) noodle
Naooooo. . . All attackers! I joke, I joke.
This guy gets it
Lol you are correct sir, I’m fairly new. Started playing more often this year and peaked at like 1700ish. From ultra till 1500-1600 you can literally play anything as long as you have a mix of mons and not all just attackers.
Not sure if this counts as meta or not, but Cramorant
He doesn't count as meta, which is surprising cause every time i find one in a match, he is the EMBODIMENT OF ANNOYING.
Maybe he's trying to take up sableye's job
Huh opposite for me whenever I see a cramorant it’s just ![gif](giphy|7k2LoEykY5i1hfeWQB)
It makes me so happy to see Cramorants on the battle field.
I love using Cramorant when I pick him up now and then. Dive/air slash.
Cramorant has never been meta except for when he's bugged, which has happened a shocking amount of times
they really need to just delete that pokemon and remake it, something... 😂🤦🏻
I'm willing to believe this is actually why he gets bugged so often.
Also a Cramostan 🫡
Do we know if Cram can be picked up on Lapras when a turret and moved around? Could make for some fun times
Unless it was changed, you can even use his Unite move WHEN you are on Lapras's back. Only did it once with a friend but it did get me 2 kills and greatly weakens the opposing team for my allies to finish them.
Brilliant!
wdym Cramorant has always been meta /s
Yea
Sylveon and scizor i like them
When i play Mr. Mime, it doesnt matter what the outcome of the game is, if I was fucking annoying, I consider it as a win.
Mimes always annoying lol
There's no better feeling than getting the majority of the enemy to chase you at ray, even if your team can still fuck it up somehow lol.
Mr. Mime forever. The barriers are amazing tools for displacement and influencing the battlefield. Very underrated.
Mime games are rare so opponents arent ready to deal with it. That's why it's so fun to troll with mime.
Ooh, don't tempt me.
I like you. Good to know some people are still having fun.
Cinder D Ace
More like Cin D Era~~s~~ce
What’s the D stand for?
Ask Oda
It’s a one piece joke. Idk if you’ve seen it but it’s from Monkey D Luffy, Portgas D Ace
I have been practicing with sword recently, Im considering building a bit of cdr for permanent shield into knock up chains when dueling.
Sableye with leftovers. Nobody let's me cook
May your eyes shine bright like a diamond. Oh wait.
What's your other two?
Exp share and Cursed bangel
New to the game, read that as cursed bagel, wondered if that was a term for an item I didn't know about yet lol.
It's a held item like leftovers. Not an item like potion
I’ve honestly considered this lmao
Talonflame is my go-to if I'm in a rut. The efficiency it offers as an assassin, or the versatility as a slippery and covert jungle stealer behind enemy lines is unmatched.
I love how aggressive I can be with that bird.
Azu with full speed buff, aqua tail, and play rough
I like x-atrack, play Rough and whirl pool. Pretty much have built in xspeed already. If you get your play Rough going, pop xattack, hit whirlpool, bounce on them , and usually . play Rough is good to go again you can just about land the second play Rough while xatrack is still up. It melts just about anyone.
I like being able to heal up from a distance, but I’ve been wanting to find a good build for whirlpool. I’ll have to try this out, thanks!
Seconding PR/WP set with x attack! I run scope lens/weakness policy/muscle band (I think? Hazy on the third item)
My most played character is Wigglytuff so…
Espeed BR lucario I had a lot of practice with it and it’s fun to play even though there are many counters and Espeed does lesser damage than PuP and CC.
I salute you for playing what I don't but still think has merit.
Haha yeah it’s way too fun on some rare occasions where some mons can’t land a straight attack on me I’ll be like “blue doggo go zoom zoom”
Btw what does cc mean still haven’t figured it out
CC stands for "Crowd Control" because it comes from other games (MMOs) where you need to use something like a stun to help control an NPC when they're about to do something that will mess you up.
Basically its a fancy way to say stunning opponents and preventing them from moving.
Ohhh thanks!
Lucario, i love being tortured
Ttar when I can get away with it. Mon can body several meta mons if it snowballs. Pretty sure the only reason it isn't meta itself is because of its early and mid game. Before someone calls it meta, double check it's pick rate. I know everyone already knows, but there's always someone. Edit: If I can't, I just try to fill for team balance. I'll be the one defender with four attackers while dying inside.
Bullet Bug McPunchy-Jump
It’s especially good early game if you can get jungle
No, it's a lane Pokemon. Jungle Scizor loses games. Scizor in the jungle doesn't have the payoff of other mons.
I mainly meant early bulet punch but yeah
I will literally stop playing Pokemon as soon as they become meta I cannot be part of this problem and I must be unique Go get em Full offense Wiggly and dragon pulse Duraludon
The attack stacks you can get with that build + Attack Weight and Weakness Policy are actually crazy.
Delphox
Aegislash my favourite to use in game
Venu. Have used him since s1 Will continue doing so, tho to be fair venu was always close to being meta Also, machamp.
Been my favorite starter since then I love foxes and I hate cold so it's a perfect match
I don't keep up with the meta other than my best friend who educates me as to why *insert mon* is insufferable. "That's their meta build atm." So I'll say, *insert non-EX mon here*.
I’m using one of the most meta Pokemon rn if that’s helping narrow it down
I'm mostly just trying to build my mons into the most oppressive thing on the field, since that's what EXs are right now.
Azumarill
My main boy
Cramorant main since day one. No one can take my goofy bird from me.
Can I kill it tho?
Oh absolutely. Get close to me and I'm a gonner 😅
lol
Chandelure, the epitome of a glass cannon but i like the design too much to give it up
I really enjoy chandelure but I find myself playing more as a support. I LOVE them as a partner when I’m playing HV sylveon if they are doing the burny furniture move lol
I haven't seen anyone else use them so I'm assuming they're not part of Meta, but Goodra with max level Leftovers/Aeos Cookie/Shell Bell and X Attack as the battle item Ngl might replace the leftovers but besides that love this set
Please replace leftovers for something else. Could change shell bell too for spoon. Focus band, exp share, buddy barrier, please not leftovers
I use resonant guard instead of leftovers but other than that Goodra is same. It is so usefutl in team fights to just drag enemy away from objectives or goals.
Ikr? I've 1 v 5'd teams several times while my team takes care of the big boss lol
My big baby venusaur 🍃🍃
Flair.
Extreme Speed Lucario
talonflame
Scizor all day every day.
Decidueye and Pika
Cramorant
I'm rocking aegeslash
First main and I’m glad to see it’s still used
Uuuuh, Decidueye. Outdamaging half the room on the owl with a lightbulb will never not be hilarious.
Metagross
Goes brrr
Who?
Machamp I agree with OP
Muddy goodra, just love it.
Am I allowed to say goodra?
GOO-ZERKER GOES RAHHHHH
Machamp needs some serious buffs and Buzzwhore needs some nerfs
i play sableye and both team hates me equally
OUTRAGE DRAGONITE
Garchomp
uhm
Azu!
Greninja
Gardevoir. I love the mon's design and the sound effect present in her move sets. Though I mainly used her in ranked if my spot in the jungle is secured.
MACHAD BROS UNITE
I recently learned PuP Lucario and it's so fun ![gif](giphy|GvHWdelghdHmo)
Tbh I mostly just play in offline against bots for fun, but when I do open the game up I usually like to play Decidueye. I have no idea if that's meta or not - I'm sure the meta has changed a bunch of times whilst I've just continued clicking Razor Leaf and drinking all my HP back with Drain Crown.
My good Ole main.
Sylveon!
Garchomp. I mained garchomp when it first came out and i still do to this day. Cant believe they made him free for new players though
I'm not up in recent meta terms. Is chandelure meta?
Goodra, i know a lot of ppl don t see it as meta but it s fun
Crit build shadow claw aegislash, is this considered meta?
Gyarados and Scisor.
Goodra
Everyone hates on Cinder players that use potion and awful items, but they reconsider when using Cinder properly kitted (scope, muscle, scarf, eject, 6 brown max crits)
uh decidueye?
Alolan Ninetales. Venusaur. Lane Tyranitar.
Decidueye. Judge me 😿
I don't usually play ranked too often unless some missions call for it But overall for ranked/non ranked quick matches, Tsareena since she's one of the few I'm actually decent at, i think.... Mainly became 90% i don't know who else to choose and haven't spent much time trying others out more in the past until recently...
I do dcrown buzzwole for no reason in vet lobbies
Outrage Build Dragonite. I don't understand why people Say that "Hyper Beam Dragonite Is Better than Outrage" or "Dragonite Is Just bad" when he can obliterate your and your team's assholes in 5 hits max
It just feels great to absolutely BEAT DOWN the enemy team once you have outrage online
And the only real way to stop him would be by stunning him with the whole team
Aegislash. The only problem is that your randoms usually have to carry you through early game, but once you get access to shield form he is a beast and can easily carry you the rest of the match.
Snorlax till I die snorlax till I die (I don’t know or care about metas)
Lucario. He’s still my boy.
Mamo goodra and snorlax because fat bois
Mime and wiggy because they’re annoying and fun
Dragonite and Umbreon (Wish). At least I can survive on my own if needed plus Outrage just feels good. In Umbreon's case, I'll be a "mini Support" if a teammate looks for me for heals. My inner Support main kicks in a lot. So I love Umbreon being able to do double duty.
Surf/Double Team Greninja make me happy hehe
Charizard. I love throwing people on ground and burn them to death
Charizard full atk and crit
I will never not play decidueye in ladder unless someone takes him from me.
Não to por dentro do meta ultimamente. Miraidon, Mewtwo e Zacian são meta? Só jogo com esses três. 👀
Isso é piada ne? os 3 estão no topo da meta agora
Então escolho Comfey. Sempre pego ele quando vejo um desses 3 no meu time. Monto nele e não saio mais. 👀
Trev back when leech life curse was more meta, before ex mon were a thing. I mained wood hammer horn leech, and would stun rock every one.
My Flair and pfp Checks out
Honestly snorlax a good snorlax
I just play a pokemon that matches my teams needs Attack: greninja Defence: trevenant Speedster: zeraora All rounder: aegislash Support: sableye
Decidueye. A total glass canon but with some good strategy, positioning, and stealth, you can absolutely wipe the floor with the enemy team. Stealth Sniper go brrrr
See flair.
Scyther & Scizor man, what a pairing
Aegislash
I love me some mew. It's so dominant in the laning phase against most lane comps in solo q rn if you know what you're doing.
Scizor
Owl, since his disastrous release.
Scizor. She’s never really been great, but it’s just so much fun punching people and regenerating
Mamoswine
rollout wiggly
Is Wigglytuff not meta? I've always been a Wigglytuff & Support main so that's that... If not Wiggly, Tsareena.
Idk if garchomp is meta or not. But I always bring him into ranked. For me into veteran (I barely play)
T Tar
Love me some mamoswine. It's not the best, but it can dominate early in lane and that works pretty well for me in ranked
I’ve really been loving Talon lately
Mamoswine. I think he's cool, fun and I don't care if he's meta or not
Goodra, and I have exactly 0 shame in it at all.
He needs a buff
Delphox
Tyranitar because King of the Pocket Monsters
Blastoise, Buzzwole, and Miraidon. These mons have been terrible as of late but I will keep using em’ despite not being meta. 😔 Jokes aside, I can’t really be part of this because I’ve mained Btoise since day 1 and the big boi despite its ups but mostly downs is the longest lasting top tier defender in the game.
Whatever I bought most recently
Sableye, I love the chaos goblin so much, shutting down the enemy carry gives a crazy high 💎👄💎
Ninja, got that 77% wr in ranked baby
Gremlin go hehe~ Though I suppose based on the current WR list, Sableye got into the top ranks. So I suppose they currently don't count
Zeraora
I always have a blast with Mamoswine.
Gengar. When it hits it slaps!
Absol because HDIA
Charizard, decidueye, cinderace, garchomp, talonflame, does absol count? I use Blastoise and Espeon pretty frequently too but more because I love the Pokemon themselves rather than just them being strong
Scyther
