Not at all. In November my schipperke (a pom-like dog) had a series of little seizure, I got him in the car and drove him to the vet, and then he had an extended Grand Mal seizure that lasted over 10 mins long. It was absolutely horrific. No one should have to go through something like that with their pet. I get the impact.
Moving our furniture around a little helped us to heal without being randomly thrown into distress all the time. It was something else to catch our eye instead of all the places in the house where he wasn’t anymore. Sharing in case it helps ❤️

Yea I carry too when walking any of my pups but ESPECIALLY my Pomeranian. I live in a area notorious for pits/dogo argentinos etc to be lose (unfortunately) so it’s always better to be safe then sorry.
Watching a pitbull have his way with my boy who’s essentially a chew toy to him while he brutally loses his life is something I think I’d rather die before I witnessed. For woman who aren’t comfortable with a pistol they should be carrying bear spray. When it comes to these small boys we just gotta protect them because they can’t protect themselves

I lost my boy 5/7/24. Worst pain of my life. So sorry for the loss of your baby 🩷
Thoughts are with you. I lost my first one that was my Dads but he was 14. But he had a lot of health problems and they said he wouldn’t make it through surgery he could breath properly and his little tongue was blue all the time. So we did the kind thing and let him go. But we had him cremated so he is still with me and always will be. So very hard.
I’m deeply sorry for your loss. She looks like a lovely and loved girl with the sunbathing halo of light with the Pom lion mane catching all of the sparkles. Deep love that has shades of sorrow moves over time but it’s the exchange for the beauty that is infinite. Two sides of the same coin.
On another note:
I’m tired of pitbull owners and their need to tell me they’re friendly. They, unsolicited by me, strangers in Central Park, tell me they can’t believe people have misgivings. It happens once a week easily in the city overall. I wish they would get another story and have different approaches to curb this kind of violence.
I also had a Pom that was attacked in Central Park by a pitbull.

I don’t honk you can blame the dog really, yes they have it built into them but, I think it is also the way their owner treats them. And they shouldn’t be on the street like that. Owner needs shooting

Our little girl’s father was killed during off leash hour’s designated for dog owners at a park around the corner from my in-laws house that had a bike path. ATV decided to run from someone and take the bike path as a short cut getaway hitting her father and a few ducks in the process.

At my in laws we had to plug all the spots along the fence the shitbull next door started digging under. One shitbull down the street chased my woman and our Melo back to our place, and we've carried knives ever since when we walk him.

I’m so sorry for your loss of beautiful Piper. People need to face strict punishment(jail and fines) for not keeping their dogs under their control.
Nothing against the pit bull breed, I’ve met some absolute sweet dogs over the years. Unfortunately some of the least responsible or common sense having folks end up owning pits because they think of them as intimidating macho alpha dogs. Then they don’t take the necessary precautions to protect the public and other dogs by making sure they are properly restrained or fenced in.
I get irrationally angry when I hear of large runaway dogs attacking adorable defenseless little pups like Piper.
I knew when I saw her beautiful picture that this was going to be a wrongful death. I’m not even angry just so sad over your loss and what was robbed from you and her. It’s the owner of that pit bull and not the mislead dog that needs to be brought to justice. How very sad. I’m mourning for your loss
