Each one is a simplified, optimised version of the one before it, eventually the simplification is so extreme that consciousness appears within the concept of the number one, which realises itself to be infinite, and that creates the original Universe in the first place.
With all the talk about how a predictive language model is not true AI, I did start to wonder, maybe that is how our brains work and maybe we are predictive language models.
Kinda. Humans (like any other living being) are just machines whose only purpose is to keep on existing. AI is our humble attempt at replicating ourselves without the whole "keep on existing" stuff, as that way you can just give a different purpose to it that exclusively aligns with your interests.
