If Kingy had half a clue he’d maybe still be working at the Tiges, or any club actually
This is the same crew that picked the bombres to win the whole thing last year
I agree with the sentiment, but kingy and Montagna have been pretty favourable toward Richmond.
I can't see our list falling off that bad, but I didn't expect 2016 and definitely didn't expect 2017.
Head says bottom 8. Heart says flag.
Kingy is a champion data disciple. The two years he had high hopes for us were ‘18, and last year.
Montagna I just don’t get the sense knows anything about football in general.
Don’t get me wrong I’m not thinking it’s a flag year or anything but I think top 8 is as likely as bottom 4.
Don’t get upset when seeing things like this. I still see a world where we could be pretty good. Maybe sneak into the finals. But I also see a world where we are shit lol. It’s a new and exciting journey we are on. If we are shit, imagine the gun midfield we’re about to draft. Lots to be excited about.
This could very well be 2016 all over again. At the moment we have no identity, didn’t have one all last year. Will take time to get Yze’s philosophy going on. We will one another flag this decade, but this year might be painful.
It's not even a big call. Gold Coast were 15th last season with 36 points. Richmond 13th with 42 points. That's not even that big a gap from bottom 4 last season and with Gold Coast and Fremantle almost certain to improve, it's not going to take much for Richmond to slide behind them. I think too that Richmond are likely to drop away some more for another year or two.
I think it's more likely that Hawthorn, Richmond and Geelong battle out for the two bottom 4 spots alongside West Coast and North Melbourne.
All good… I’m not owned by their comments. They have some validity in their arguments. It’s only a belief… and beliefs aren’t future facts. It’s a prediction. I have hope that the Tigers might go deep into September.. though I’m one eyed.. Hopes aside though , if you’re impartial enough you could potentially see Richmond failing big time.. only if things don’t go their way. Other teams have shown signs that could result in restricting the Tigers year in achieving their finals dreams. It’s an assumption by those three amigos based upon sufficient enough generalised evidence to have doubt the Tigers abilities to perform. Hope that Tigers prove their assumptions wrong. Done it before. Many commentators admitted they were dumbfounded by the Tigers 2017 achievements… not just in the GF. Bring it on..!
I can't see us being worse than last year given Lynch is a massive upgrade on 2023 Riewoldt lus we have added kozitchke in the forward line. Down back Young is a year more experienced, and Gibcus comes back in, and in the guts, Hopper should get a much better run at things this year. Then all the kids have got an extra 10 or 20 games in them, and with the additional experience should come greater consistency and composure. Add Dusty returning to form, as he showed in the back end of last year and a coach ho gives a shit, and we should at worst hold our ground, but with a top 8 finish a possibility.
I don’t think this is that bad of a take…
The issue is we are a very hard team to pin down because we are not as good as we have been (lol obviously) but other clubs around us have already started their youth journey (Hawthorn, GCS, Essington, Freo etc). Geelong are another tough one.. they are older but have a huge home ground advantage, as they begin to fall down the ladder that advantage disappears but is that this season?
If wouldn’t be surprised however if we win 9+ games. Comp is even and we have so much top end talent / game changers that we might be able to ruin some top teams days.
Go Tigs
I think the issue for us is we have no depth of note. Our best side is very good and top 8 (not top 4) material if we had a dream run with injuries. HOWEVER, the reality is of course we WILL get injuries and that will hurt us. A “fair “ injury run might see us position 9-12 but getting a consistent run of outs to our better players could easily see us bottom 4.
Bottom 4 predictions from 3 power bottoms based on 2nd hand opinions on 1st crack.
On smoke crack*

Yep, reckon this is where we should be

Essendon will be bottom 4
Eh, half of them had us in the top 4 last year
Should rename the show 'Smoking Crack'.
Haha
Probably 8-14th realistically. Depends if Lynch stays healthy
