It's still quite the boost for swarming in the field, if he was marketed as a support commander a permanent 12% all damage buff for all your marches plus some allies would be considered nuts.
Thing is if my whale allies in the murderball have him expertised, then I get the same benefit as I would if I had expertised him myself. His role appears to be very niche unless the debuff and/or expertise play out better in the game than they do on paper. I'll let the guys who fill that niche invest in him and swarm with them in murderballs.
If he was AoE then yes he would be great in field.
We already have Nevsky/Joan and Huo/William.
My best bet for him is he's gonna be paired with Justinian as a rally pair because Justinian has a Swarm effect skill that will instantly activate Beli's expertise skill.
Beli's active skill will forcefully increase the target's first skill to require 1200 rage to activate. Unless it's worded weirdly and it affects Belisarius instead lol
Thinking about it. The cycles aren't complete anyway.
In the last 3 releases one troop type has been out of sync.
So no idea where we're at, technically this cycle is due to have single target comms. But doing so means one troop is disadvantaged.
That makes no sense. Troop types no matter what kind have always alternated between single and aoe. Cavs now have back to back single target... even after the op Zhuge, Herman and Liu Che commanders... cavs got screwed and we all know it.
Are you an idiot? Inf and Archers have aoe out the ass and more stats. Zhuge Herman is a double aoe meta march, Scipio LC is double aoe with sooo much more utility in both marches. Scipio LC hits harder than all of my cav marches and they don't have close to as good of gear and I'm using a cav city skin and cav civ. LC, Zhuge, and Hermann are at least a tier above. Cavs are behind right now and were when Huo came out too. Now they have no chance of catching up for a looong time.
You are tripping 😂 yeah Scip/LC is amazing, but after them there’s bugger all else. Pick your ideal 5 march lineup, if its got more than 1 infantry you are crazy
As if you actually ignored the fact Nev+Joan is literally the #1 march recommended by and for basically every player in RoK.
The exact cav main moron I was commenting about 😂😂
Yeah a march that's like 2 generations old and still one single target and aoe. I'm talking about double aoe which you failed to read. Scipio LC and Zhuge Hermann are now way ahead of that march all things being equal.
Debuff on active skill is great, but no aoe.
He is a great option as third march for cavalry main players.
At first glance, the pairs could be something like; Nevsky+JoanP, Huo+William, BelisariusP+XY
But, the players who have limited golden sculptures ; Nevsky is still best option imo.
It seems Lilith does not want players who enjoyed killing farmers with Belisarius in KVK 1 and 2 to be deprived of this pleasure in KVK 3 and beyond. He is a just new legendary commander for farm killing.
I was really hoping for a new commander with smite and area damage like Liu Che. It's a huge disappointment.
I’m kind of shocked they didn’t give us a smite cav commander. Beli prime certainly isn’t bad but he was gonna need to be super strong to displace the current best four cav marches and he’s not quite there.
It would be kind of stupid to give cav a smite DMG commander. Cavs biggest strength is their DMG and their march speed. Their counter which is inf was lacking in both departments which is why before LC you only had 1 inf march and up to 3 cav marches.
Smite DMG is exactly what infantry needed in order to be relevant as it gives it a role to fill because being tanky and ignore isn't a role anymore.
Could they have given Cavs an aoe? Sure but this could be a sign from lilith that they want to steer the game away from tons of AOE on the field and no one really knowing what is killing them. If the next inf and archer commanders are single target then I might be on to something.
But giving Cavs smite DMG would pretty much take away the role infantry fills now. They may come up with something later but honestly being fast and able to stick to a target or get out of a bad fight has always been Cavs niche. Smite ain't it and Lilith knows this.
It is. This commander will not be used as a primary commander at all with versatility and mobility trees that are the worst to have for open field fighting (let alone rally and garrison)
This is a good thing for everyone that has been saving heads. Now you can use them on other projects and build the true meta cavs (huo nevsky) as they are safe for another year
Broken in field: 12% damage recieved on target is mad strong if you can field 5 marches.
Only problem the com has is that people dont seem to understand the difference between damage dealt by a commander and damage recieved by the target.
Yes 2nd and 3rd skill are weak, and it should not be your first soc march but if you are a fieldfighter with 5 marches he will be a 100% exp.
Since Nev dropped
Cav - Nev, Joan, Huo
Archer - Boudicca, Zhuge, Hermann
Infantry- Scipio, Sargon, Liu.
Spot the odd one out there? 😂 cav and archers are in a good spot open field, infantry need the love
Except calls are just fine and not behind in the meta at all. Just because they have old commanders doesn't mean cavs are bad. You guys sound like world of Warcraft players with all this doom and gloom.
Part of the disappointment is your fault for creating expectations in your mind of what they have to release for Cavs. I also wondered myself but decided to wait till official news dropped in order to form an opinion.
Also replace Sargon with Alex because no serious inf march will be running him in current meta. Guan Scipio and Lui che Alex are much better marches than anything Sargon can make.
Cavs only suffer from the main meta march being old but when it comes to performing they are still very good.
I know?!? 😂 that was my point. And Sargon has to be in that list as it’s a list of all the wheel commanders since Nev. Alex isn’t there for the same reason William isn’t. Cos they came before Nev.
Not forgetting him, he’s a MG commander. The 9 i listed are all wheel commanders who tend to be the open field, while MG is generally garrison and rally
Huo, Joan, Nev are meta 😂 let’s play a game. Come up with your fantasy 5 march lineup as it stands right now. I guarantee the 1 march will NOT be cav…..
I get it, you want want to main cav, but your third march has been suffering in the field. Eagerly anticipating a new commander to make 3 cav meta. And it’s not what you were after. Hell, I skipped Hermann because I was saving for this release as well. But taking that disappointment and trying to make out cav have had the rough end of open field commanders is just moronic.
😂 I skipped him cos I run 1 archer march and Boudi/Zhuge is doing just fine. Or is Boudicca shit in your eyes?
Edit - and what is your fantasy 5 march lineup then oh wise one 😂
Lower skill damage, lower stats 😂 not sure you can call it a better HQ just yet. The debuffs are kinda fun though, one to wait for some tests first I’m thinking
I agree with this. It wasn't long ago that Cavalry was breaking the game because and I bet the dev didn't want this again. They had to create a whole new mechanic (SMITE dmg) to handle the last cav meta.
That being said, I can see Beli Prime working well Justinian for Rallies, Huo/Nev for Dueling, and Joan/William if you want AoE. I don't know for sure but he might even get XY off the bench
Gross. This is actually garbage.
Is way under on stat's and single target on top of that, plus has 2 completely useless trees? Give me a break.
Leaving this thing for the farm killers.
Oh well, guess I get to Max my Hermann.
What are huos skills at? Also if hes expertise just work on getting joan to 5xx5 get her active skill and fourth skill to max is whats important because that would make her use her active skill twice. And aoe which is way more powerful then mina
Only good at chasing return marches from cancelled rallies or low health marches running away and farm killing lol. Aint no way this is a meta open field or rally or garrison .
Yeah I'll stick to nev/joan in that case. Loving my 3 marches(4 till pass 7) and just enjoying the way I play while also getting the kills and deads :)
Unfortunately this commander will not see much relevancy in the field because there are just butter options out there.
With that being said I would say it’s a great flex option if you plan on swarming a rally
I have yet to see anyone look at him helping Justinian in a rally. Justinian active gives you a debuff of 3 units surrounding if not actually and so that gives you that (10%? Can't remember while typing) all damage for Beli skill to hit. And not that it's a huge thing, but hitting the rally and then it running away from an infantry person hitting it, you exiting combat, would make it sprint for that little bit.
All that also because Beli talks about Justinian in his dolialoges and story, so I had thought they would add a prime Beli to help complete the duo. So part of me is also hoping they work thematically.
The cavalry are very conceited, they have one of the best commanders in Nevsky, double proc in Joan and a Huo that does not stay behind...they wanted a Nevsky 2.0 lol.Get ready for the good when your sugar daddy tzun prime arrives.
Are you on the right sub? There’s no distinction between regions. Chinese servers may get a slightly earlier release, but the rest of the world is the same.
All I see is Farm Killer Prime
Are you sure? The expertise seems insane, imagine swarming a flag and getting instant 12% all damage for all your marches
Majority of players don’t swarm flags regularly 😂
It's still quite the boost for swarming in the field, if he was marketed as a support commander a permanent 12% all damage buff for all your marches plus some allies would be considered nuts.
Thing is if my whale allies in the murderball have him expertised, then I get the same benefit as I would if I had expertised him myself. Especially if they stack! Testing needed
Active skills never stack, only passive skills do
Quite fortunate that his expertise isn’t an active skill then……..

Beli is beast
Perfect with Huo , but I was waiting for an aoe commander so I can run - Nevsky joan - Huo- aoe . Too bad , might not invest
Yeah, would agree with you, was waiting on an AoE one as well
Same!! Might as well just stay with Huo/William
It's a single target cycle, gotta wait for next gen to be aoe again
How is it a single target cycle? The last cavs were single target as well....
Thinking about it. The cycles aren't complete anyway. In the last 3 releases one troop type has been out of sync. So no idea where we're at, technically this cycle is due to have single target comms. But doing so means one troop is disadvantaged.

Cavs have literally got 3 comms in the meta lmao. They are by no means screwed at all. Standard cav mains bitching over nothing is all this is.
Lol, that zhuge/herman is not just double aoe, you could say it is a triple aoe...

William is still the comm i hate to see the most, will is very anti archer
60% speed buff. You’ll never catch him!
Is this a joke? this isnt even meta
Yeah I'm severely unimpressed... and disappointed
Rogue players will surely have a party when prime geyi beli will be release 🤣
Easy skip
The all damage taken debuff on the expertise looks insane
You just don't swarm him on the rally, and u are good. It will be a great swarmer, tho.
Debuff on active skill is great, but no aoe. He is a great option as third march for cavalry main players. It will be XY/Beli 😂
Sun tzu prime when?
At first glance i thought he might be really good but the more i read it i began to think he was ok certainly not great
Isn't the versatility tree like the worst?
It is. This commander will not be used as a primary commander at all with versatility and mobility trees that are the worst to have for open field fighting (let alone rally and garrison)
This thing should be April fool I say no more
This is a good thing for everyone that has been saving heads. Now you can use them on other projects and build the true meta cavs (huo nevsky) as they are safe for another year

Bullshit bruh
Works well with Justinian. XY and Huo aswell for field.
Yeah I’m interested to to see him and Justin open field.
Justice for the best Byzantine general
Imo... if you're playing in a kvk with an artefact he's gunna be a secondary god. Imagine him behind ZL or scipio.
If this is wheel comm, then hopefully the mge comm will be better 😢
Infantry got Liu Che. Archer got Hermann. Cavalry got this Scum.
Since Nev dropped Cav - Nev, Joan, Huo Archer - Boudicca, Zhuge, Hermann Infantry- Scipio, Sargon, Liu. Spot the odd one out there? 😂 cav and archers are in a good spot open field, infantry need the love

Ah I gotcha lol.p
You cannot forget that op gorgo , inf got alot of love actually lol.
That’s for garrison 😂 and she’s MG not wheel.
What garrison man , that whore hit more than any field commander 🤣. , basically lilith gave inf players the best commander in game 🤣
😂 she’s got one viable pair. Lc carries her
Lol everyone forgets Justinian
Not forgetting him, he’s a MG commander. The 9 i listed are all wheel commanders who tend to be the open field, while MG is generally garrison and rally
Scipio and Liu Che are meta... Inf and Archers definitely have had the best commanders since Nevsky
Huo, Joan, Nev are meta 😂 let’s play a game. Come up with your fantasy 5 march lineup as it stands right now. I guarantee the 1 march will NOT be cav….. You skipped Hermann? That tells me all I need to know about you lol. Noone should take advice from you.
😂 I skipped him cos I run 1 archer march and Boudi/Zhuge is doing just fine. Or is Boudicca shit in your eyes? Edit - and what is your fantasy 5 march lineup then oh wise one 😂
Like how I felt as inf player with Sargon, it sucks. I do think Beli will be a meta in swarming garrisons though
Yea but only whales will go for meta rally and garrisons. Us plebs only need field comms.
Just a better HQ. Rip to all those that invested
Lower skill damage, lower stats 😂 not sure you can call it a better HQ just yet. The debuffs are kinda fun though, one to wait for some tests first I’m thinking
I agree with this. Would be great for me as i haven't been able to invest in HQ.
It's way worse than huo. Less damage and less stats without the fast skill cycle.
Why are you all complaining? As if cavs need yet another meta breaking march. How about we fix infantry?
I agree with this. It wasn't long ago that Cavalry was breaking the game because and I bet the dev didn't want this again. They had to create a whole new mechanic (SMITE dmg) to handle the last cav meta. That being said, I can see Beli Prime working well Justinian for Rallies, Huo/Nev for Dueling, and Joan/William if you want AoE. I don't know for sure but he might even get XY off the bench
I know right? 😂 they forget when cav and archers got Joan and Zhuge, infantry got Sargon……
Gross. This is actually garbage. Is way under on stat's and single target on top of that, plus has 2 completely useless trees? Give me a break. Leaving this thing for the farm killers. Oh well, guess I get to Max my Hermann.
Can I remain with huo - mina ?
Yea especially if its ur only march
What are huos skills at? Also if hes expertise just work on getting joan to 5xx5 get her active skill and fourth skill to max is whats important because that would make her use her active skill twice. And aoe which is way more powerful then mina
I have Nevsky -Joan , Huo- Mina . Was planning on going for the next cav , thinking it will be aoe
Lol. Didn’t expect that it would be beli
Only good at chasing return marches from cancelled rallies or low health marches running away and farm killing lol. Aint no way this is a meta open field or rally or garrison .
The rage debuff’s look interesting, no AoE sucks though. No garrison commander info?
Garrison/Rally commanders usually get announced the day after.
Does this look like an upgrade over nev/joan?
Not even remotely close
No. Replace William behind Huo
Tbh I’m not sure its even worth that, I like all my marches I have some AoE, and William has a great set of debuff and buffs as well.
Yeah I'll stick to nev/joan in that case. Loving my 3 marches(4 till pass 7) and just enjoying the way I play while also getting the kills and deads :)
He's just straight up worse than William too. Legit not meta till you hit 3 cav marches, which is utterly absurd.
Chat is that real ?
Unfortunately this commander will not see much relevancy in the field because there are just butter options out there. With that being said I would say it’s a great flex option if you plan on swarming a rally
Definitely a must have for whales.
I have yet to see anyone look at him helping Justinian in a rally. Justinian active gives you a debuff of 3 units surrounding if not actually and so that gives you that (10%? Mobility?? Well that’s one I haven’t seen in a while
Where is the Infinity gang at infantry has to get some love with the next commander
He's a whale commander. Useful in full gear with T5 troops. Other then that, meh.
Damn! Zero cav gear still
I think he’ll be a great addition . But we need new commanders soon . Played the game from the US and have had the same commanders for 4+ yrs
How? 😂 what are you running, kvk 2 commanders?
Is Nevsky still better
Hoard them gold heads till the tests come out, but I think Nev is still superior.
Beli is way better🤷♂️
Great for hitting a single target and then quickly running away? Oddly specific skill set. Hard pass.
According to VIP the expertise will stack, so 10 Beli marches means target takes 120 % all damage…… Edit - now they say it doesn’t 🤣
Strong and Fast, yes. Refreshing, No and the game getting dull. Nevs Joan Scipio era is kinda peaked.
The cavalry are very conceited, they have one of the best commanders in Nevsky, double proc in Joan and a Huo that does not stay behind...they wanted a Nevsky 2.0 lol.Get ready for the good when your sugar daddy tzun prime arrives.
Infantry gang waiting for sun tsu prime
Cave gang waiting for beautiful baibars Prime with beautiful AOE but we get farm killer...
That’s all cav are good for 😜
Can someone explain the Active Skill. It's Direct Damage for the next 2 seconds. So is it 2400 + 2400. Or 1200+1200? Or something else.
The 2 seconds is referring to the 50 rage loss. Not the direct damage.
We definitely need new commanders for the US areas
Are you on the right sub? There’s no distinction between regions. Chinese servers may get a slightly earlier release, but the rest of the world is the same.
Yay Belisarius!
