As someone who was big of Guilia, and wanted her to succeed in an actual rassling promotion, I am disappointed. She could've joined a promotion where fans turn on any female star they bring and change channels when women wrestling is on. But instead she joined a promotion where they present them like big stars and their audience doesn't turn off even when they're in main events.
Guilia, it was an easy choice and you made the wrong one. All the best and good riddance!!
Foreign exchange student could probably get over huge on NXT while hiding her English limitations early on, lol. Not sure why people so down on chase U, it makes sense to have a kayfabe school for a promotion that's about developing wrestlers for WWE.
Now it all makes sense why people said Okada should be with Chase U. Bravo! Chase will probably end up being in a Gulak role for promo work later in life because he made Duke and Thea (very underrated, the way she's always hyped up is hilarious) entertaining when it felt like they were just there.
Honestly I think fans would mix up Giulia and Julia Hart, so it's best for TK to pass up on this one. She needs some seasoning before she joins the pros on ROH anyway.
Every time I see Julia Hart's name, I think of the fact Vince didn't like people having same names so the audience wouldn't get confused.
Because how is Julia Hart related to Bret Hart? And does FTR know she is?
Changing names makes sense because then the WWE can own that name (Dean Ambrose) while the wrestler can go back to their original name (Jon Moxley) and everyone is happy. Obviously there are times when it doesn't work like that and you have your Hulk Hogans, Randy Savages, Shawn Spears, etc., along with real names.
My biggest name gripe was trying to make everyone have just one name by dropping a name (Alexander Rusev to Rusev) or changing it entirely (Pete Dunne to Butch). That made no sense 9/10 times. I think Cesaro was the only one I thought worked as a single name.
Maybe I’m a stupid mark but when I started watching AEW, I was genuinely trying to figure out the Hart origins for Julia. Couldn’t understand why someone not affiliated with them would use that last name. It’s like if some dude named Dan used the Flair name.
Eh, Austin has the Stone Cold moniker to set him apart. The Hart family used FirstName Hart format for the family. Idk, just was strange to me to do that
Jim Ross could not get Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit right when he was on top of his game. How the hell does he do it with 4 Adam's? (Well when Tony allows him on air anyway)
We’ll see if she lives up to the hype.
Contrary to what the AEW cultists claim, I as a WWE fan don’t immediately change to loving anyone as soon as they sign with WWE. I’m content to wait and see her in the WWE and make my own judgement.
Fair enough, though I'd add that it's become clear that Wwe will aggressively seek to sign up Male or female talent if they see something in them they believe can translate to their style of pro wrestling. And that they have the resources, existing roster and training facilities to take their time ensuring they are ready before exposing them to the demands of live TV.
I'm not sure in this context if they were ever seriously in for some of the wrestlers they were rumoured to want but who ended up at AEW. Maybe they put the feelers out, but I doubt they were willing to compete with the ridiculous sums m'Tony is willing to throw around when it's a toy he wants.
What I'm trying to say is that they aren't in the business of hoarding talent or paying over the odds to provide some mythic reset as needed. If they want a wrestler, be it Giulia or Jade or Lexis King, it's because they see something or have an idea what they can do together. Well, except for Andrade. That was just because he punched Shammy Guevara.
They see an actually future and long term success for this person. Not short term shock value like the other guy. That's how you put yourself out of business bidding against yourself.
I’m not gonna lie and say I’ve seen a Giulia match.
What I am gonna say is that everything I’ve heard and read is that this lady has it down.
If she can cut a promo then I’m calling a match between her and Tiffy/Jade in 4 years time at mania for a title.
She has been learning English over the past few years so I wouldn’t be surprised if WWE does what they do with Iyo and Asuka where they have her cut promos in Japanese and throw some English in, maybe Italian for good measure.
She uuuh unfortunately is not very good with English. Like, she probably speaks less English than Asuka, Kairi, and Iyo. It's kind of ironic since she was born in England.
She can’t cut a promo now because her English isn’t good. She has a great stage presence though, give her a mouthpiece and she’ll be fine from a presentation standpoint. The bigger thing for her in NXT will be her wrestling style, in Japan she did a ton of headbutts and dropping people on their heads, which obviously isn’t going to fly in WWE. So she’ll have to develop a new moveset, which shouldn’t be hard for her but will take some reps to get used to.
Tony Khan on Twitter: Giulia's wrestling wasn't good enough for AEW and she's too dangerous to work for us. Tune into #AEWCollision tonight at a special start time of 11:30 PM!!!!
Sasha REALLY made a mistake going to AEW. She is more about the exposure and status than wrestling and WWE would have given her more than AEW.
If she comes back she will be an afterthought at this point. This chick, Rhea, Tiffy, Bianca, lol… CEO of the Dollar General.
Here's the thing shilly:
Giulia is largely unknown to the American and International audience. A truly good booker would instantly put her on the A,B,C,D and F shows where she shows up, does her entrance and cuts excellent promos in Japanese which would need Google Translate VR to be understood since you know, the fans should Google her up. LFG WADE!
> This is HUGE.
Politely, who the fuck is Giulia?
No, legitimate question: who is she? All I know about her is that she's been wrestling in Japan and Dubaloos are REALLY into her ~~and I don't know if this is related to her wrestling ability, I never watched her do it~~. That's it. Nothing else. Is the main WWE audience actually aware of who she is or where she's been?
She’s an extremely talented prospect. The way I see it, “this is huge” for an NXT signing means “this person is talented and has the potential to be a legit star someday” where people say “this is huge” about AEW signings to mean “they should be presented as a star *right now.*
“Giulia signed to NXT, this is huge” = “Wow, with the right coaching and timing she could be a big main roster star in a few years”
“Ospreay signed to AEW, this is huge” = “he is the undisputed GOAT and if he doesn’t main event Wembley all is lost”
It’s a jerk based on AEW signing all these Indy stars to big contracts and thinking they’re huge draws rather than being overpaid as AEW bid against themselves
She's a big deal in female Japanese wrestling. If you ask me, she's got all the makings of the next Asuka. Trips and HBK seem to agree since they've been eyeing this signing since last year.
This isn't a "huge" signing if the frame of reference is a casual audience. Within the realms of more hardcore fandom, then she is a "huge" signing. The great part is that WWE is an absolute machine at transitioning "indy darlings" and "foreign stars" into superstars through NXT. Pretty soon, she'll be at or above the level of recognition that the Joshi trio on the main roster have.
Yeah, the few things I have heard it seems she is actually pretty decent but as I said, I cannot say for sure as I haven't watched anything involving her. Curious to see how she turns out. In terms of Japanese talent, I think the only one that really didn't do much for me was Kushida and the dude with the Jacket in NXT.
I checked out a couple of her matches. She's great as a heel, has a lot of Japanese wrestling mannerisms (like that thing Shinsuke does where he shoves his foot against sitting opponents), more of a "brawl" style. It's very...WWE-ish because of how much she leans into character work.
Her greatest strength is that she just kind of oozes charisma. She has that "it" factor that WWE likes to talk about. Not really that Jade Cargill "I'm a buff Beyonce" thing, but more like she has a very unique look that's captivating.
Am not an Asuka fan, and have never gotten her appeal. Like wow, “look at me I’m so quirky I scream and dance crazily” isn’t a good character for me.
It’s why I’m not much of a shinsuke fan either.
O I didn’t say you did. I just mean the way the iwc acts like “how dare they want Okada or guilia etc to go to nxt” like yea you need to build up people because Cody is a star and people know him, Jade LOOKS like a star, you don’t need to know anything about her other than GOD DAMN SHES JACKED!
Okada in NXT would make sense as well - It worked for Shinsuke, even if he's not a main eventer in the main roster, dude's got his titles and a Royal Rumble. Same thing with Lexis King, once he's got some more exposure, dude's going to the main roster, and most likely for a mid-card title push.
AEW fans pretend they've seen her wreatle. WWE fans don't really know about her. The difference is WWE will tell us instead of expecting us to Google it.
How dare she report to NXT and not to AEW? Doesn't she know that NXT is beneath her, and she should be performing for the good guys in front of 600 fans in attendance and not furthering their craft. Is she stupid?
What are the odds Rossy and Giulia show up in the crowd at Stand and Deliver and they have the titlecard for Rossy being "Pioneer in womens wrestling" or something like that.
If it happens before the Dragunov-D'Angelo match, we eating that good gabagoooool, my ucies
Giulia and Utami have alwys been Rossy's favorites and treated very well in Stardom. Even when Giulia has phoned in all of her matches for the last year and a half she was still the most over person in that promotion.
It will be interesting to see if she can successfully navigate having to prove herself to Hickenbottom and get herself over with a foreign crowd.
But even if she washes out she can go right back to Rossy and be at the top of the Stardom card so its win-win for her.
This is one time where Tony didn't lose out because he didn't throw enough money, he lost out because someone just didn't want to fuckin' go there. Triple H landed her and Jade. Those two trump any possible thing the dub's women division could ever possibly do or try.
Ackshully Tiny and AEW didn’t even want her. They sign literally everyone with a pulse but dragon Lee, Gulia, Cargill, Kairi only went to the ded fed because AEW had no interest fed shill
Awesome, so coveted superstar Giulia is going to the good guys, just as...huh, what? She's going to the evil Fed???? That stupid fucking whore!!! I always hated her!!
Question. Do people here and WWE fans know who she is? Because even people in the comment section on every wrestling Vlog on YouTube and other places people don’t know. I know because I watch stardom. But the average fed fan don’t know.
Average fans don't know but for me among the stardom roster Giulia is money, her mannerism, her gimmick, her posture and her wrestling just scream huge star.
There's a reason Rossy give her new contract when western wrestling company want her.
Giulia was the chase U exchange student all along hbk making big brain moves
Foreign exchange student could probably get over huge on NXT while hiding her English limitations early on, lol. Not sure why people so down on chase U, it makes sense to have a kayfabe school for a promotion that's about developing wrestlers for WWE.
Now it all makes sense why people said Okada should be with Chase U. Bravo! Chase will probably end up being in a Gulak role for promo work later in life because he made Duke and Thea (very underrated, the way she's always hyped up is hilarious) entertaining when it felt like they were just there.
Thats facts doe I love the u
Just put her next to Thea Hail and let those two be weird friendly badasses
![gif](giphy|Xd76rp78Q1ZcBYNIPD) Someone put this gif in a different post about her and it had me laughing for a couple minutes 🤣
Tony D's cousin from the old country is more interesting to me, ngl.
It's perfect. And shr can have Yakuza connections 😆
Tbh they had saraya then she left
Honestly I think fans would mix up Giulia and Julia Hart, so it's best for TK to pass up on this one. She needs some seasoning before she joins the pros on ROH anyway.
Every time I see Julia Hart's name, I think of the fact Vince didn't like people having same names so the audience wouldn't get confused. Because how is Julia Hart related to Bret Hart? And does FTR know she is?
I get it, doesn't AEW have like 4 Adam's and 2 Aaron's or something?
Adam Cole and Adam Copeman Christian Cage and Brian Cage for examplea
There's also Adam Page to add to the Adams. Then there's Ethan Page too. I'm surprised they don't have more Jo(h)ns.
And Page rhymes with Cage lol Most Vincism are stupid. But sometimes they make sense.
Imagine having to call a match with all those guys. Tony should definitely book it as a rib on Excalibur.
They also have three guys with the last name of Gunn!!
Those make make sense tho They are related
That's the joke uce
Vince hates burritos. He also had one for lunch nearly every day. I think more people need to know this, brother.
Changing names makes sense because then the WWE can own that name (Dean Ambrose) while the wrestler can go back to their original name (Jon Moxley) and everyone is happy. I think Cesaro was the only one I thought worked as a single name.
*Copeland. Sorry I just was going crazy thinking I had been mispronouncing his name lol
What happened to Adam Page?
Currently upset that CM Punk is at WrestleMania
And two Wheelers, which is three too many
Maybe I’m a stupid mark but when I started watching AEW, I was genuinely trying to figure out the Hart origins for Julia. Couldn’t understand why someone not affiliated with them would use that last name. It’s like if some dude named Dan used the Flair name.
Well, it's like Ace Austin
Eh, Austin has the Stone Cold moniker to set him apart. The Hart family used FirstName Hart format for the family. Idk, just was strange to me to do that
I get this one because I thought Jimmy Hart was related to Bret but he’s the ‘Mouth of the South’ and Bret’s Canadian??
Jim Ross could not get Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit right when he was on top of his game. How the hell does he do it with 4 Adam's? (Well when Tony allows him on air anyway)
I thought I was in the basement and about lose my mind. Premium jerk, goof.
We’ll see if she lives up to the hype. Contrary to what the AEW cultists claim, I as a WWE fan don’t immediately change to loving anyone as soon as they sign with WWE. I’m content to wait and see her in the WWE and make my own judgement.

What hype? Shes going to nxt as she should.
She has a good amount of buzz. It’s a matter of that buzz translating to being a legitimate star in WWE.
I’m not gonna lie and say I’ve seen a Giulia match. What I am gonna say is that everything I’ve heard and read is that this lady has it down. If she can cut a promo then I’m calling a match between her and Tiffy/Jade in 4 years time at mania for a title.

Sounds awful and repetitive.

>she was *born* in England To a Japanese mother and an Italian father and left England when she was 1 year old. Where's the irony?
If you can't find the irony, uce, I can't help you.
She can’t cut a promo now because her English isn’t good. She has a great stage presence though, give her a mouthpiece and she’ll be fine from a presentation standpoint. She’s gonna do the job for Gigi

> This is HUGE. Politely, who the fuck is Giulia? No, legitimate question: who is she? That is why she will "reporting to NXT and performance center"
Yes, I understand that. It's the "This is HUGE" part that comes across as if this was a big deal in the business.

Uce at this point you should know anything from m'nippon is HUGE to these "journalists"
[удалено]
I can already see the WON crowd finding weird ways to shoot her down after propping her up so much.
Dubbalos: DAE Giulia is overrated?
> DAE Hikaru Shida is better anyway? Is legit something I can see being said in the basement.
She’s not that hot…over anymore! Just doesn’t have the same level of OVER that she did before.
No, they don’t but that’s okay. The WWE doesn’t sign people to increase ratings. They sign them to build future stars
Wait, you're telling me she's not going there to have numerous weekly BANGERS!? Damn :(
No, and that’s why she’s going to NXT, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
Didn't say there was anything wrong. It's the "this is HUGE" part that got me. Comes across like she's this big deal in the business.
She's a big deal in female Japanese wrestling. If you ask me, she's got all the makings of the next Asuka. Trips and HBK seem to agree since they've been eyeing this signing since last year. Next Asuka? Unsubscribe I don’t need any more Asukas
Explain
Am not an Asuka fan, and have never gotten her appeal. Like wow, “look at me I’m so quirky I scream and dance crazily” isn’t a good character for me. It’s why I’m not much of a shinsuke fan either.
She has the charisma to pull it off, is over with the crowd, and is consistently good in the ring. Sorry don't get it.

It’s HUGE only to a small, weird subsection of wrestling fans. That’s the audience for that tweet.
> I don't know if this is related to her wrestling ability, I never watched her do it.
but m’tiny said he was gonna spend HUGE on even more free agents!
war chest.

Giulia vs Rey Misterio, book it Hick and bottom. https://i.redd.it/sibhrwxh4wsc1.gif
DAE she clearly wants to be on the biggest platform to impress Triple Hitler, AEW doesn't need someone who values hard work and grinding anyway.
Giulia is no longer an outlaw joshi workrate waifu, she is now a total snacc... respectfully.
She’s going to kick ass in NXT. I would have loved her in AEW and go after Mariah may. But she wants a big pay raise and fame. I say go for it.
Get that bag I guess
Giulia and Utami have alwys been Rossy's favorites and treated very well in Stardom. But she is a star & stars should be introduced as stars with no background or information because all the fans know what a wrestling stars are.
I didn't even know who this was until yesterday
It's not HUGE but hopefully could be good
Probably doesn't know English so can't cut a promo. She looks good but so does iyo and she can't do much either bc of her terrible English.
is this the wrestler that works stiff like Gunther but has the technical skill set of omega?
Awesome, so coveted superstar Giulia is going to the good guys, just as...huh, what? She's going to the evil Fed???? That stupid fucking whore!!! I always hated her!!
Did someone just lock Tony in a room for the weekend?? Without his phone
![gif](giphy|l41YdDNnasCOd2TWo)
Wait how did hhh afford this without firing Jackie Redmond, out the mud and brooks Jensen
How could she allow the ded fed corrupt her??? Doesn’t she know she would have bangers after bangers with the good guys?
Question. Do people here and WWE fans know who she is? Because even people in the comment section on every wrestling Vlog on YouTube and other places people don’t know. I know because I watch stardom. But the average fed fan don’t know.
