Yeah, I'd downloaded it from there and put it in the folder, and I still got the message that I had an outdated version. I deleted the mod entirely and I'm _still_ getting the message about an outdated version!
I am so sorry. I thought I would be able to help! The only thing I can say is to relook in your folders because it seems as if there is an old file somewhere lurking in your mods folder that needs to be deleted or updated.
<3 I appreciate the double look! Yeah like, I've got no idea. Ive literally uninstallrd everything and re-downloaded it and smapi is still trying to find the mod that doesn't exsist!
The only thing that threw me off as well is that you have SMAPI 4.0.08. I have the .07 version. Maybe that could be it. No problem! Hope you get this fixed if you don't and you still want to chat I can do my best to help!!! xoxo
The issue was I didn't realize that when you click on the mods in vortex and open their file location to easily get to where the mods are, it leads you to the vortex specific location of the mod files. It also installs them into your mod folder in the stardew files and that's where I had mod remnants leftover.
It's working now but man xD
So so so happy you figured it. Yeah I thought it was something dragging you back to your old files from your old mod! Whooo hooo have fun Stardew Valley!!!! Again, congrats!!!
Maybe they haven’t updated the manifest? Download the newest version, change the version number in the manifest.json to what it’s supposed be, then put it in your mods folder

It also installs them into your mod folder in the stardew files and that's where I had mod remnants leftover.

I don’t use GitHub, only nexus, but on nexus you can see if others are having the same issue, maybe try that for GitHub?
UI infosuite 2 is great, but it's not avaiable on Nexus so you gotta download it manually. I figured out the issue though and it was dumb xD
