Thank you! The trick is to take a sponge, spray paint the top of it, dull it out with a paper towel and then dabbing it on corners and other areas. It’ll make it have a blotchy touch!
Honestly looks awesome. Only thing to add could be some details on the control panels. A silver background on the plate and then some colored buttons could make the whole set pop really well
Sorry, I am being a smart ass pretending to have a sense of humor.
I would recommend a wash to finish those. Citadel one (nuln oil) or maybe try some oil washes if you know how to work with them and have patience to wait for it to dry.
Filling those recesses on the towers will make it really stand out.
Shading. You can manually use darker colors in recessed areas and all, but that's a bit too advanced for me.
Just apply it all over the miniature and make sure it doesn't pool where you don't want it, too.
Washes are very thin, so tue can form little pools of paint. But otherwise, it's too thin to alter your paintjob completely. It'll just darken it a bit.
Hope this helps. Im no expert tho haha
How do they work? I’ve never done anything with them before. Most of what ive been able to do is off suggestion from my friend and from experimentation
Washes are a very thin paints that you just apply over your model. Due to its consistency, it will fill the recess and make them look darker. It will add shades to the miniature.
I would recommend a Citadel washes for a begginer painter as it is easier to work with them overall.
Washes also have different colors to accent different base paints of your miniature.
Hope this helps. I am no expert painter, j6st a fellow hobbyists like yourself tho!)
Noice
Could add a black wash to the control panels make the details stand out more
Awesome! I’ll get on that
Sand I hate it
I hate Sand. It’s course, and rough, and irritating, and it gets everywhere 😩
I love the weathering

Im only thinking of buying my first battleforce for legion, but I'm pretty sure what you have there are the terrain pieces.
They are objective markers for the core set and priority supplies objective cards.

What is a wash good for and how do you use it?
