So as someone else so "politely" mentioned, the camera quality does make it more difficult. Personally I would lean towards male but if you want to be 100% sure, cup it in a clear bottom container and count them. Do it twice to make sure. Once you have a accurate count, there is many scholarly articles on Google that can tell you the count for male or female. Feel free to pm me if you have any further questions.
Definitely male. Generally speaking, males have larger pectins than females.

this is a useless technicality man, the only time where those words need the distinction is with humans. obviously this scorpions gender identity isn't a factor
Just figured someone who's in a Scorpion subreddit wouldn't mind learning about the difference between two words? I'm not typically a grammar nazi but it's like when someone asks whether a scorpion is "poisonous". I'm not going to forsake accuracy for the sake of some subjective sense of what is a "useless" technicality. I'm going to first let them know the difference between the words they used and the words they meant to use and then answer the question they meant to ask. Why does everyone have to be so defensive about being corrected??
Tough to see anything through that potato camera you are currently using!
Sorry! My phone camera is honestly god awful

It's a different word different meaning.π€·ββοΈ Giving a scorpion a "gender" would be inaccurate.
