You did, even though it's copper nickel.
Fuckin hell
You want 42-45
sorry to tell you, but...
My luck was *not* on display today but my ignorance sure was
At least you’re interested. You’ll find some eventually
And your willingness to learn and be humble. This is also a victory
You need that year to be on a dime or quarter
or half dollar :P
1964 is also THE most common year. Due to a coin shortage they made 1964 nickels until 1967
interesting they just didnt bother updating the coin? lol
There was such a massive coin circulation due to vending machines, silver poaching, and inflation that they reopened the San Francisco mint, and avoided changing msny of the dies to prevent the downtime it would entail.
Jesus Christ this is the icing on the u/A_R_K_S is a smoothbrain cake hahahahahah
Well, I think it's neat! edit: it looks like a dryer coin too! Extra cool 😎
I couldn’t love this. You are humble about your mistake and you want to keep going. That’s the kind of attitude we need in coin collectors.
We know you're messing with us 😂
If there is a P above the building on the other side it’s a war nickel and then has silver in it.
You came by mistake… but you learned a lot when you got here!
Thought only the 1945 nickel was silver.
1943-1945 were 35% silver. Some 1942’s but not all.
I think it's 50m minted no proof mark 1942 do not contain the 35% silver
