You can look up SKY MUSIC NIGHTLY. It let's you see how to play songs in Sky instruments, either by looking up songs in the webapp or by uploading MIDI files.

For the note, on two-octave Sky instruments you can play songs in C major or A minor scales.

ClumzyDreamer

I usually learn along to YouTube videos that thoughtful skykids have uploaded.

I don't know about other players, but I personally learn most of what I play by ear. Lots of time spent practicing until I get it just right. :)

Some people are also using automatic music player mods. 😬 I have a few of those on my friends list… you ask them if they want to play with you and they say they don’t know how, they’ve been using a mod script the whole time.

How dissapointing 😬

Crimsonseraph188

I just play songs from anime I like by ear. i keep trying different octaves of notes until I can make the entire song work, or most of it, and make concessions with notes that I don’t have, that sound close enough

Familiar-Box2087

playing by ear !

I usually figure them out by ear, but these things sound cool! I'll have to check them out!

yarrowplant

I use an app called Sky Music Nightly, it has a decent library of songs. You can pick what platform you play the game on (I play on Switch so it labels all the notes with the corresponding buttons) You can learn via music sheet or by observing as the song plays (I prefer the second one) You can also set it to play certain sections of a song, so you don't have to listen to the whole thing over and over as you learn

I play piano by ear IRL, so it’s not that hard for me. Yesterday I played Rainbow Connection for the very first time, and it was good enough that everyone clapped.

Billy_Birdy

I’ve figured out a few tunes on my own. Most of the stuff people play is suitable to the notes available.

nooneatallnope

There's a few websites where people make and share music sheets to practice.

probably_moss

if you know any, could you let us (this post) know? i usually just search youtube but that doesn’t usually give me a good sheet or none at all :)

nooneatallnope

I only used one of them briefly, but just googling Sky cotl music sheets (maker) yields a couple of results. Depends on what UI you find most useful

probably_moss

oo alright, that’ll do it thanks a lot :D
