Talking AoS they are in a funny spot at 200 points they are directly comparable to slickblades and in most situations slickblades will outperform them. Be it on speed, or damage output and they have less wounds over all 20 v 12 with the same save. But Vs 5 or more wound targets where the tail comes into play in a big way they are great and they have the 2 debuffs on top. So they are not so far behind that if you take them your screwing your self if that makes sense. In fact this weekend I’m taking 2x5 slickblades and a unit of fiends as a back up.

Well that is good to know as I already have quite a bunch of mortals and would like to expand on demons. I mostly play for fun so efficiency is a point only if it is absolutely worthless and as they have their little niche it just good enough to me. I just finished a unit of slickblades and I am not exposing myself to this again so soon they are cool but man those details

I’m midway though 10 of the SoB’s (No not the giants ;)) I’ve hated every minute of it but I need them For a tourney at the end of next month! I picked them up originally as a summoning pick but I’ve only managed it once and they were naff so I started putting them in lists instead and haven’t regretted it. They took the place of the blissbarb seekers which have proved to be far to hit and miss for me

No clue about aos, but in 40k they are arguably one of the best demon units in the codex atm. You can basically stack them. They were already good on codex launch and then got a point drop at some point, on top of flames getting nerfed, and just basically jumped to the S tier of the codex.

I have them in my summon pile for if my opponent has a large amount of monsters. Have summoned them a couple of times with good effect.

Recently or with the old battletome? It seems to me we don’t summon that much anymore to keep the durability buffs up. I have yet to play with the new one so I’m a bit lost as I don’t know how much DP we generate now

In a good game I'll get a good 70 odd depravity, leaving me with 36 for buffs and like one extra thing on the table

Unfortunately I can really only speak about my experience with them in AoS. With their movement and tail damage against >W4 models they can be probably be run as an assassin unit of sorts, hunting characters. They combo well enough with an Enrapturess if your enemy has spellcasters. Like all Slaanesh they're squishy as hell so you should try to keep them safe from enemy shooting until such a time as they have an avenue to charge. However, since they seem to be relatively rare on the tabletop, other players might not know of the danger they pose. Fiends would also be best served with at least one of Slaanesh's save negatives to make sure they deal damage. As someone made a comparison to Slickblade Seekers, Fiends are slower (no run + charge) and less durable (same save, less wounds per unit) but slightly better against multi-wound models.
