Started from the 80s hard rock bands.
Def Leppard being my fsve as a young teen.
Faith No More owned me as well. And were a band you couldn't pigeon hole, genre fluid, mainstream popularity but could be heavy and dark as hell. and led by an uber talented charismatic frontman with insane vocal range (mike Patton). Some comparisons to Sleep Token regarding this.
Then the grunge scene took over and I loved Soundgarden and Alice in Chains.
Acid Bath! "When the kite string pops" to this day is still my fave "metal" album of all time.
Then I discovered Devin Townsend and strapping young lad and followed heavy Devy all through his discography. He was my fave artist till Sleep Token.
"Ocean machine" is a classic and imo, a must listen for fans of Sleep Token.
Also, Steven Wilson and Porcupine tree.
Followed them for years.
Then July last year, I ask a younger friend with similar music tastes what he is listening to.
He said Sleep Token.
The rest is history.
They are currently pretty much all I listen to and have been thrust into my all time fave bands for sure.
Mostly Deathcore and Metalcore. The usual DC suspects like Lorna Shore Signs of the Swarm, but also some lesser known bands like Disembodied Tyrant and Sold Soul.
For Metalcore, ERRA, Invent Animate, Dance Gavin Dance, Dreamwake are some of my favorites.

Hm-m-m... Progressive stuff mostly, djent\\mathcore\\deathcore\\post-hardcore adjacent, but I also love Deftones and everything Chino Moreno.
Last thing I really liked and decided to add to my collection was an album called Ruminate by a band called Red Keep.

Nothing More (they share the number one position), Spiritbox, and Twenty-One Pilots are my top three after Sleep Token. Some honorable mentions are Gunship, Lorn, and various synthwave artists.
I LOVE Nothing More. They've been my top band for the past 4 years but I feel like this will be the first year they're beaten by either Sleep Token or Bad Omens. Then again, apparently there's a new album coming out so we'll see!
Oh man, House on Sand is INSANE. I love I Prevail and have been leaning more into Metalcore lately. Sleep Token is my genre bender; the sound is so unique I can't stop listening. Although I love Nothing More, I thought they weren't quite my taste anymore. Then House on Sand totally flipped the switch. 100% worthy of top 5 for 2024. Tunnels is a sleeper hit, I need to give it more attention. God Went North, It Seems, and Spirits have always been in my heavy rotation. Honestly this is such a great time in Rock, I can't wait to see what's next!
Oh boy here we go, I listen to primarily sleep token, but if I’m taking a break from them it’s progressive metalcore (dayseeker) country, sometimes hip hop, trap music, metal, my music taste is all over the place
Ghost and Slipknot.
Have major"music OCD". When I find a band I like I usually listen to them literally non-stop and don't get bored whilst learning all their songs on guitar/bass . I could easily listen to TMBTE/Ascensionism 100 times a day and enjoy every second.
Basically went Slipknot --> Ghost --> Sleep Token. I'm in position now where can beat that dam OCD and listen to all 3 interchangeably depending on mood.

Honestly I'd say coincidence. Slipknot was years and years. Ghost appeared randomly on YT playlist few months ago and I loved the music before even knowing they wore masks. Then discovered ST through a guy on youtube called Jamie Turton who adds orchestrations to many bands but mainly Ghost and ST. Again, only found out about the masks after listening to many of the tracks and looking deeper.
Lol I’ll say the other bands I mentioned are really not like Sleep Token at all.

But I alsooo love edm. Mainly techno and some cyberpunky stuff. Hard to name some artists because there’s soo many. CEEJAY, I Hate Models, M()RE, Gesafellstein, KEYO, The Prodigy. I loveee Celldweller, Blue Stahli and Tyrant of Death which overlap with industrial metal and rock quite a bit.

BUCK-TICK is my favorite band of all time (have been since I was 14; 20 years ago). They had the same members since 1987 (the vocalist passed away at the end of last year), and had done whatever they wanted with their music/genres. They consistently released new albums during their long career and they have multiple callbacks, easter eggs and well-researched lyrics in their discography.
When I first started to listen to Sleep Token earlier this year - I needed something to help fill the whole in my heart that the passing of Sakurai left -, I thought on how similar both bands were in certain aspects.
I highly recommend you to give them a try, they have many many many songs (23 albums!).

I think my favorite artists besides Sleep Token right now are probably ATEEZ, Bad Omens, Amira Elfeky, Kim Dracula, and Ethel Cain. Special mention Tilly Birds is a good Thai band and I’ve been listening to Turkish artists Anil Emre Daldal and Edis.

To answer your question I’m also a big edm guy. Was big into dubstep for a long time but lately I’ve been into house (John Summit, Dom Dolla, Chris Lake etc.)
I tend to listen to Bad Omens, Bring Me the Horizon, Catch Your Breath, Pierce The Veil, and so many more.
I guess I tend to stay in the rock category but sometimes I do change it up. I bounce genres a lot though. :3

I listen to a little bit of everything. Mostly rap, country, rock. Sleep Token is the first band or artist to really sweep me off my feet so to speak. One song led to another and I was enamored. Haven't felt the feelings I get from listening to Sleep Token from any other artist for as long as I can remember. I skip around a lot but I never skip Sleep Token.
sleep token has been my new all time fav now since my daughter introduce them to me over a year ago we went to louder than life last September just to see them they are FUCKIN amazing live and I pray that one day we will get to see them live at the the Royal Albert Hall in London with the Orchestra that is my dream . my all time fav band was korn I grew up with them and Metallica but metal and rock and I ev3n listen to rap hip hop alil bit of country and even some oldies like the temptations but since ive been listening to sleep token their whole discography is on repeat I havent listened to anything else

Honestly, most of the music I actively listen to falls within the electronic music genre. But mostly uplifting trance, psytrance, deep house, and industrial techno. I listen to a broad range of music, but I usually circle back around to electronic music. I love Above and Beyond, Prydz (and Cirez D), Tinlicker, Black Asteroid, Simon Patterson are my top favs atm.

So depending on which genre I’m cycling determines my current favorites. Sleep Token has taken over like 50-75% of my music, even after 6 months since discovering them.. maybe it’s cause they combine influences from majority of the genres I like XD

I listen to a lot of stuff, but right now I'm on a metalcore kick. If Not For Me is a really good band I recommend them! I also listen to k-pop (more r&b leaning) and rap and hip hop. Also a HUGE fan of dubstep haha.

Before getting as into ST as I am now, my favorites were Breaking Benjamin, Linkin Park (always), Bad Omens, All Time Low, Imminence, Papa Roach and We Are The Emergency. Although there's millions of other bands and I actually can't decide :D
I go through fases. For the last 4 months its mostly been metal/rock. Bad omens, bring me, asking, ghost, MiW, BVB, spiritbox etc.

ST pushes the envelope like Bowie and Radiohead, and I respect that constant evolution. If the trilogy is truly over, the next album/era should be something unexpected.

Mt fave bands throughout the years. Started from the 80s hard rock bands. Def Leppard being my fsve as a young teen. Faith No More owned me as well. And were a band you couldn't pigeon hole, genre fluid, mainstream popularity but could be heavy and dark as hell. and led by an uber talented charismatic frontman with insane vocal range (mike Patton). Some comparisons to Sleep Token regarding this. Then the grunge scene took over and I loved Soundgarden and Alice in Chains. Acid Bath! "When the kite string pops" to this day is still my fave "metal" album of all time. Then I discovered Devin Townsend and strapping young lad and followed heavy Devy all through his discography. He was my fave artist till Sleep Token. "Ocean machine" is a classic and imo, a must listen for fans of Sleep Token. Also, Steven Wilson and Porcupine tree. Followed them for years. Then July last year, I ask a younger friend with similar music tastes what he is listening to. He said Sleep Token. The rest is history. They are currently pretty much all I listen to and have been thrust into my all time fave bands for sure.

Mostly Deathcore and Metalcore. The usual DC suspects like Lorna Shore Signs of the Swarm, but also some lesser known bands like Disembodied Tyrant and Sold Soul. For Metalcore, ERRA, Invent Animate, Dance Gavin Dance, Dreamwake are some of my favorites.

Hm-m-m... Progressive stuff mostly, djent\\mathcore\\deathcore\\post-hardcore adjacent, but I also love Deftones and everything Chino Moreno. Last thing I really liked and decided to add to my collection was an album called Ruminate by a band called Red Keep.

Nothing More (they share the number one position), Spiritbox, and Twenty-One Pilots are my top three after Sleep Token. Some honorable mentions are Gunship, Lorn, and various synthwave artists.
I LOVE Nothing More. They've been my top band for the past 4 years but I feel like this will be the first year they're beaten by either Sleep Token or Bad Omens. Then again, apparently there's a new album coming out so we'll see!
Tunnels was my number one song for a long time before ST, and now House on Sand is easily in my top five. I'm looking forward to this new album.
Oh man, House on Sand is INSANE. I love I Prevail and have been leaning more into Metalcore lately. Sleep Token is my genre bender; the sound is so unique I can't stop listening. Although I love Nothing More, I thought they weren't quite my taste anymore. Then House on Sand totally flipped the switch. 100% worthy of top 5 for 2024. Tunnels is a sleeper hit, I need to give it more attention. God Went North, It Seems, and Spirits have always been in my heavy rotation. Honestly this is such a great time in Rock, I can't wait to see what's next!

Ghost and Slipknot. Have major"music OCD". When I find a band I like I usually listen to them literally non-stop and don't get bored whilst learning all their songs on guitar/bass . I could easily listen to TMBTE/Ascensionism 100 times a day and enjoy every second. Basically went Slipknot --> Ghost --> Sleep Token. I'm in position now where can beat that dam OCD and listen to all 3 interchangeably depending on mood. OP going to check your other fav bands and if anyone can recommend a band they've found with a blend of my 3 I'd be grateful. Of course ST are just so f\*\*\*ing unique and their own genre so might be hard...

Good God, I never even thought about it this fact... xD Honestly I'd say coincidence. Slipknot was years and years. Ghost appeared randomly on YT playlist few months ago and I loved the music before even knowing they wore masks. Then discovered ST through a guy on youtube called Jamie Turton who adds orchestrations to many bands but mainly Ghost and ST. Again, only found out about the masks after listening to many of the tracks and looking deeper.
Lol I’ll say the other bands I mentioned are really not like Sleep Token at all. Adventure Club are huge metal/rock fans. Au5 has a lot of hauntingly beautiful stuff. Bands I like that fit more into alt/rock. Memorist, Phantogram, Metric.

BUCK-TICK is my favorite band of all time (have been since I was 14; 20 years ago). They had the same members since 1987 (the vocalist passed away at the end of last year), and had done whatever they wanted with their music/genres. They consistently released new albums during their long career and they have multiple callbacks, easter eggs and well-researched lyrics in their discography. When I first started to listen to Sleep Token earlier this year - I needed something to help fill the whole in my heart that the passing of Sakurai left -, I thought on how similar both bands were in certain aspects. I highly recommend you to give them a try, they have many many many songs (23 albums!). I always link to this amazing Youtube video ([The Evolution of BUCK-TICK: 1987-2020](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASZqv59KvaQ)). I thank Sleep Token for helping me through the loss of someone who is as important to me as Atsushi Sakurai is.

That’s why I dig Sleep Token, the vocals inspired me to learn to sing better.
Yes. I’m in a similar boat. Vocals are usually the main thing I’m drawn to. Vessels Vocals and the general energy in The Summoning are what drew me in. There are so many songs out there that I love the general sound of but I can’t get past the vocals.

Polyjamorous af. All the way from George Straight and any 2000s Country; to BigXthaPlug and ThatMexicanOT and any mix of HTown rap and r&b; to Currents, Memphis May Fire, Deftones and Sevendust. I'll throw some Hamilton or Wicked songs in the mix just for my gf because she loves musicals, and these are the only 2 I know by heart. My only rule is that whatever is on, it has to sound well put together. Top 5 outside of Sleep Token though? Sevendust Alice in Chains (These 2 bands got me into metal and heavier music on ATV: Offroad Fury) Currents (saw them open for Memphis and Parkway and have been hooked ever since) BigXthePlug ("Texas" is just hard af) George Straight (Always found some sort of connection in his songs)
I listen to mainly djent and progressive metalcore, my all time favourite band is periphery but very closely followed by sleep token. I also love volumes and erra, but I also love the punk rock band sum 41.
Adventure Club are huge Sleep Token fans. I’ve heard them drop Sleep Token samples in their sets. To answer your question I’m also a big edm guy. Was big into dubstep for a long time but lately I’ve been into house (John Summit, Dom Dolla, Chris Lake etc.)
I tend to listen to Bad Omens, Bring Me the Horizon, Catch Your Breath, Pierce The Veil, and so many more. I guess I tend to stay in the rock category but sometimes I do change it up. I bounce genres a lot though. :3
My other favorite current bands/artists are The 1975, Dance Gavin Dance, The Contortionist, Chase Atlantic, Brakence, The Weeknd, etc. I listen to so much but those have been my big repeats listens for the past few years aside from Sleep Token
I listen to a little bit of everything. Mostly rap, country, rock. Sleep Token is the first band or artist to really sweep me off my feet so to speak. One song led to another and I was enamored. Haven't felt the feelings I get from listening to Sleep Token from any other artist for as long as I can remember. I skip around a lot but I never skip Sleep Token.
I'm pretty big on Slipknot but I'm honestly pretty polyjamorous- if I hear a song that makes me do a lil dance then I'm happy no matter its genre.

sleep token has been my new all time fav now since my daughter introduce them to me over a year ago we went to louder than life last September just to see them they are FUCKIN amazing live and I pray that one day we will get to see them live at the the Royal Albert Hall in London with the Orchestra that is my dream . my all time fav band was korn I grew up with them and Metallica but metal and rock and I ev3n listen to rap hip hop alil bit of country and even some oldies like the temptations but since ive been listening to sleep token their whole discography is on repeat I havent listened to anything else

Honestly, most of the music I actively listen to falls within the electronic music genre. But mostly uplifting trance, psytrance, deep house, and industrial techno. I listen to a broad range of music, but I usually circle back around to electronic music. I love Above and Beyond, Prydz (and Cirez D), Tinlicker, Black Asteroid, Simon Patterson are my top favs atm.

ST pushes the envelope like Bowie and Radiohead, and I respect that constant evolution. If the trilogy is truly over, the next album/era should be something unexpected.
