Spent 40 bucks on resident evil 4 remake. Haven't played past the beginning with the chainsaw guy. I'm already stressed. The game is mad stressful lmao it's a great game but FUCK. Back to pokemon for the millionth time
hahaha absoluetly the same, have ripped through all the resident evils on every console i could get in my hands...now i'm 41, bought r.e.2 remake, didn't play past the first fee zombies in the library, too stressed. bought r.e.3 remake, don't even know if i even started that one yet. r.e.4 remake, first chainsaw guy and that was it. now i'm back to playing earth worm jim 2 on the snes 😂🤣
Yanno what. I'm even too stressed for earthworm Jim. The fuckin level where u sit in the chair and have to dodge old ladies falling from the ceiling. Rage fuel.
How does it run on the deck? Apparently performance isn’t great but I had no issues with the base game.
If it can stay above 30fps 99% of the time I’m gonna buy it asap lol.
Yeah, emulating games they don’t sell anymore is perfectly fine in my opinion. Emulating something that literally just came out is stealing. No other way to put it.
I don’t think anyone should care where you play the game after you buy it, but unfortunately the vast majority of people are not doing this for emulated switch games
I can give a +1 for the people who do actually buy the carts, but dump them to the deck. I loathe seeing good games locked to the Switch hardware, and I'm tired of replacing my joycon controllers.
I completely understand why Nintendo wants to shut them all down.
Emulating a game from 20 years ago, I understand.
But this is something that Nintendo is selling today. Heck, before they sold it!
I feel the exact same way. Fuck supporting studios that makes games I want to play. "It's morally okay to pirate a Nintendo game" Clearly people like their game because they pirate all of them.
After moving onto Hotline Miami 2, I felt the vastly more open buildings made it too easy to be killed by cheapshots from opponents you couldn’t
see. But after getting used to the first few rounds, I enjoyed the game far more than the original. Nevertheless, both are excellent games on the deck.
I've been emulating for over 20 years, and I can say this is hands down one of easiest devices to emulate on. EmuDeck practically takes all the difficulty out of it. Watch a YouTube video and you will have it set up and running in no time.
I appreciate the encouragement, I’ll have to see about making this my weekend project. If for any reason I have questions would it be cool if I shot you a DM?
Bought my deck in November knowing nothing. Watched a whole bunch of YouTube videos to learn, and there are some incredibly supportive subs on reddit here that can guide you. Some things get complicated, but honestly most are very simple
Not OP, but I’ve played pretty much all of the game and am now on the DLC on the deck. I have FPS at 40, dips are more common in the DLC. Works pretty well for me.
I love this game. If you haven’t, I’d check it out.
How's KH3 on steamdeck? I'm playing Kh2.5 on mine right now, while i do KH3 at home on pc because mods and higher quality. Man i wish that KH Refined mod would come to steam already.
I'm all for ROMs and am not a big fan of Nintendo's business practices and overall vibe.
That said, if this ends up being a game that you enjoy, and play most of it, I'd encourage you to buy a legit copy as it's only right.
Agreed, but people are cheapskates and would rather get off on pirating Nintendo games and/or brazenly admit it just for the sake of it lol. Yes, 60 dollars for an HD 3DS game is stupid, should be 30-40 max.
Just messing with him, comes in handy with gb gbc..etc games for save files, or when all carts will end in data rot in the future backup will be essential.
Bro I came in late but if the skeletons are plain old cartoon white skeletons, youre in the wrong place!
Get out of the graveyard, go back to firelink shrine and go up some steps leading to skeleton soldiers wearing armor! They are much much weaker and you should start going there.
Halls of Torment. Also just picked up Shadows of War for like $3, I've played maybe 20 hours before on PS4 but looking forward to giving it another go on a handheld, I expect I'll stick with it longer. Shadow of Mordor is one of my all-time favorites.
P3R, P5R, or Sky the 3rd chapter once i charge my deck up while at work later today since this will be the second full day of my house being without power from Tuesday's severe windstorm here in bloomington, indiana.
So I just watched Hard Boiled for the first time today. I really wanted to shoot stuff while holding a baby, so I've been playing Stranglehold while lying next to my sleeping 1yo. Luckily, I've avoided splattering blood all over his face.
I spent a fair few hours on the OG FF7 last night. Romming on the deck is wonderful and I’ve never played this game. Always felt like, as a gamer, I had missed out on some right of passage and oh boy was I actually right. Never judge a book by its cover this game is so good, the way they create such a good story and the cut scenes from literal triangle people is amazing. I truly understand why it was deemed so good for its time and plan on finishing it.
One of these:
Kena Bridge of Spirits - 4 hours in, been okay so far, looks gorgeous on oled.
Steam World Dig 2 - About an hour in, digging it so far, heh.
Forza Horizon 4 - Tested it yesterday and it run better than I expected.
Phoenix Point. It’s fantastic if you like xcom and runs smoothly on the deck. Gonna buy the dlcs this sale and restart the campaign with the big overhaul-mod.
pokemon platinum for the first time. Started with chimchar and it was a pleasant surprise to learn mach punch after evolving to deal with all the rock types around. Having a blast!
“I’ve got nothing to play” -me
“Same” *43 games installed*
"Me too" *92 games installed*
Oh yea? *92 ½ games installed*
*Slams fist on table* DAMMIT
Whats the *½*?
Kingdom hearts
Oh yeah? *350 non steam games*
OH YEAH?!? *my emulators broke and idk how to fix them 😭*
OH YEAH?! *reinstall EmuDeck, that might work*
Same and you don’t wanna know
Why did I install all these games if I always end up playing Gran Turismo 4?
I've got plenty of games I haven't played yet, on Steam. Instead I'm saying PS1 games on it that I've beat a dozen times lol
Spent 40 bucks on resident evil 4 remake. Haven't played past the beginning with the chainsaw guy. I'm already stressed. The game is mad stressful lmao it's a great game but FUCK. Back to pokemon for the millionth time

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
How does it run on the deck? Apparently performance isn’t great but I had no issues with the base game. If it can stay above 30fps 99% of the time I’m gonna buy it asap lol.
Steam Deck users don’t post yourself playing a Nintendo game on deck every time one releases challenge. Difficulty: impossible.
r/SteamDeck checklist: deck mutilation post/switch game on deck post/overcompensating deck build post
Nintendo not sells any HD remaster game for $60. Difficulty: impossible.
Metroid was $40. So, pretty possible.
this sub reeks of piracy
Rum and gangrene?
Yeah, emulating games they don’t sell anymore is perfectly fine in my opinion. Emulating something that literally just came out is stealing. No other way to put it.
What if you rip the game from a cartridge?
I don’t think anyone should care where you play the game after you buy it, but unfortunately the vast majority of people are not doing this for emulated switch games
I can give a +1 for the people who do actually buy the carts, but dump them to the deck. I loathe seeing good games locked to the Switch hardware, and I'm tired of replacing my joycon controllers.
Sounds like you've caught the bootlicking kind of scurvy me lad, the seas aren't for the folly, indeed. It's not gold we're after, it's ownership.
Is this game even out yet?
According to the picture there it is 😅
Whoop!
No it was not at the time of this post. This is exactly why yuzu went down. Dumb ass people posted themselves playing games before they came out.
@ midnight it is
In New Zealand it is.
God I love Luigi’s Mansion
Hotline Miami
After moving onto Hotline Miami 2, I felt the vastly more open buildings made it too easy to be killed by cheapshots from opponents you couldn’t see. But after getting used to the first few rounds, I enjoyed the game far more than the original. Nevertheless, both are excellent games on the deck.
Absolute beauty of a game and soundtrack
Stardew Valley
yuzu or ryujinx? How's performance?
Ryujinx and it's running at a steady 30 fps. Not sure why it's 30 fps though.... 30 minutes so far, no bugs or graphical issues.
This game is originally locked to 30 fps Use the 60 fps Patch
Where can I get a patch for the game?
u/stevenssnd
I turned off Vsync and it’s a steady 60fps
This is out already?
Man I got to learn this. So kool
I’m in the same boat, I’ve never done emulation before and I’ll admit that my ignorance of it gives me hesitation.
Of course!
That's really kool of you. Salute
Thank you brother, cheers
Bought my deck in November knowing nothing. Watched a whole bunch of YouTube videos to learn, and there are some incredibly supportive subs on reddit here that can guide you. Some things get complicated, but honestly most are very simple
Elden ring
Does it play well on the deck?, I’ve been wanting to buy it but I’m waiting till tomorrow.. summer sale
Not OP, but I’ve played pretty much all of the game and am now on the DLC on the deck. I have FPS at 40, dips are more common in the DLC. Works pretty well for me. I love this game. If you haven’t, I’d check it out.
I’m waiting on the summer sale to see if I can at least get a discount on it
Kingdom Hearts 3 and Bomb Rush Cyberfunk
How's KH3 on steamdeck? I'm playing Kh2.5 on mine right now, while i do KH3 at home on pc because mods and higher quality. Man i wish that KH Refined mod would come to steam already.
Black & White 2
Valheim.
*Nintendo's lawyers be like*
I am using all of my willpower to not say your mother
No shit Nintendo will go after emulators if you fucking morons keep pirating/emulating games that aren't even out yet, and gloating about it.
Grim Dawn
GTA 5. Somehow never played it until a few days ago.
American Truck Simulator
You did buy the game ye?
You're not really interested in what I'm playing are you? It's Tomb Raider 2, I've just got past the monastery level. Like you even _care_ .
Real. Have fun with the game though.
I'm all for ROMs and am not a big fan of Nintendo's business practices and overall vibe. That said, if this ends up being a game that you enjoy, and play most of it, I'd encourage you to buy a legit copy as it's only right.

Don’t make Luigi sad, buy the game 😅
He might have. Some people buy the game then download or rip the rom (it’s me I’m some people)
Yea he bought and ripped the game that wasn't even out yet at the time of posting lol
Just messing with him, comes in handy with gb gbc..etc games for save files, or when all carts will end in data rot in the future backup will be essential.
Agreed how these people defend piracy of current consoles is exactly why Nintendo are how they are.
Actually no, it’s because of how copyright law works in Japan. And also money
Which we all know are BS laws and we all know legality =! morality
Deep Rock Galactic Survivor! 184 hours and counting! Loving update 3.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition :)
That's the third one in the series, right? It's the only one I have yet to play. Does it work well on the Deck?
I played it for an hour, and will be playing more of it. it ran great. It looks great as well!
Ok fine. I'll grab this one too! ...Backlog grows eternally longer...
Playing legal games tonight myself. Steam Summer Sale starts today, after all!
How well does that game run, it might be this if it performs well.
Solid 30 fps on ryujinx. No issues through 30 minutes.
ok cool cool
Same game when it gets here tmw
Playing some Borderlands 2, Path of Exile, or Stardew Valley.
Mario Kart 64 HD
The gears are looking mighty guilty tonight
Cyberpunk 2077 at work while I'm on standby.
Ah yeah, the upvoted smart piracy genius.
I feel like every one of these what are you playing posts is just look at me I'm playing a switch game on deck.
i’m calling nintendo
10 hours into another Baldurs Gate 3 run
And that's how Nintendo goes after sites 😑
I thought piracy was against this subreddit's rules.
You're a criminal
I'm probably going to be trying to beat the RE8 Shadow of Rose DLC. I beat the main game yesterday after starting it Tuesday night.
Stormworks but in desktop mode
how how you doin' that?
Emudeck
Just started Dark Souls 1! Hella hard -_-
Stick with it; it’s a masterpiece.
That's what I'm told. I'm dying to regular skeletons walking around lol
Bro I came in late but if the skeletons are plain old cartoon white skeletons, youre in the wrong place! Get out of the graveyard, go back to firelink shrine and go up some steps leading to skeleton soldiers wearing armor! They are much much weaker and you should start going there.
Came in to say the same thing, abort Operation Skeleton, OP, abort!!
Aliens Colonial Marines and some Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Never got to play The Fall of Reach.
Banjo Kazooie
Stardew valley
I really want to get into this game and I imagine it being a classic but every time I've tried I get overwhelmed/confused and give up.
Same. I'm just bored, I dont get the point.
Castlevania: SOTN
Playing Lies of P on it
At work now on my graveyard shift playing Kingdom Hearts 2 .5 from the collection! :D
This game was really special with the 3d on the 3DS. It was like you were looking into spooky little dioramas!
I'll probably play this in 3D on the 3DS... Same for Donkey Kong returns...
Coccon
Forza 4, had to pick it up after the delisting news
I'm thinking Elden Ring. But not the DLC, I still haven't finished the main game.
Sekiro.
I just started Bloodstained ritual of the moon and it runs great on the deck.
I always struggle if I should play Switch games on Deck or OG hardware. 1st world problems.
Just got my OLED yesterday and bought the kingdom hearts collection, so that's what's on the agenda.
Pirating brand new games is theft
Halls of Torment. Also just picked up Shadows of War for like $3, I've played maybe 20 hours before on PS4 but looking forward to giving it another go on a handheld, I expect I'll stick with it longer. Shadow of Mordor is one of my all-time favorites.
Shadow of the Erdtree, bought. Unlike OP.
Nintendo Ninjas are closing in.
Nothing, too tired....
Emulation?
I need to get back to trying switch stuff on mine again. Could never get it to work.
Nothing wishing for a deck.
Definitely not piracy.
How does it run?
Elden ring Mostly just exploring in the dlc

Elden Ring, almost ready to start the DLC.
P3R, P5R, or Sky the 3rd chapter once i charge my deck up while at work later today since this will be the second full day of my house being without power from Tuesday's severe windstorm here in bloomington, indiana.

Just finished Death Stranding — what a fantastic experience.

Budget Cuts
Awake on sick dog vigil duty. Just finished both FF7R: Intermission and Undertale. Not sure what to play next.
Palworld's Sakurajima update just dropped. That's good for a couple weeks I figure.
So I just watched Hard Boiled for the first time today. I really wanted to shoot stuff while holding a baby, so I've been playing Stranglehold while lying next to my sleeping 1yo. Luckily, I've avoided splattering blood all over his face.

Mon Bazou for me later on, wish me luck 😅

One of these: Kena Bridge of Spirits - 4 hours in, been okay so far, looks gorgeous on oled.

Deep into Division 2, bought it a couple days ago and have over 20 hours already.
I don’t know, but if past experience is any indicator, it will not be one of the 15 things I buy on the Steam Sale today.
Depends on what goes on sale today.
Btd 6
Brutal Legend. Looks and plays great on the OLED.
Deep Rock Galactic and Chained Echoes.
Last night I played and finished Onimusha Warlords, I cleared the Little Mermaid section of KH1.5, and I played some of act 3 in BG3. Great night.
