Just a heads up, wreckfest is a fun game and worth it at that price definitely, but it doesn't run VERY good on deck, it runs OK, i mostly got 30-40 fps with some stutters in a crowded enviroments. But then i just started streaming it from my pc, cause it bothered me. I didn't mess with the settings.
Brotato, metal slug 1,2,3,X, Celeste, castle crashers, Witcher 3, steamworld dig, renegade ops, shakedown: Hawaii, children of morta, synthetik: legion rising, omega strike, akane, Shock troops, doom 64, etc. there’s a ton. Just filter by everything under $5 or $10.
I started on default settings but the game was stuttering and had some fps drops so I set everything to low and it still didn't feel as smooth as on my ps4 so I stopped. I'll give it another go.
Perhaps they released an update since the time you played it to now, but it runs great for me. Although I never played it on the PS4 so don’t have that to compare it to either.
If you haven't played them but still want something in the same vein as BG3, Divinity: Original Sin is less than $10. DOS2 is a little bit more expensive at $14.
Outside of those, here's some random picks: Hollow Knight, Stardew Valley, Fallout 4, Halo MCC, Borderlands 2
There's a ton. Disco Elysium, Batman Arkham Knight, Mass Effect legendary collection
I'm planning on picking up Wreckfest and Prey. I read a lot of good things about these two running well on deck.
I found Wreckfest peculiarly entertaining, and I do not normally play driving games
Could check out fanatical for prey. Think there's a bundle which includes the base game and dlc.

I picked up Prey during another sale but I just got around to beating things with a wrench this week. I like it so far.
Prey runs very well on the deck. I suggest using the community layouts though.
Hades is under $10
Control. Well worth the $10. Runs absolutely amazing on SD maxed out and the story is great.
Sunset overdrive $5. Fun openworld game
Has a buy that will delete your game save
Its a UI bug.

Brotato so good.
Appreciate it! Good list
Cheers!
Knights of the old Republic, shadow of war, shadow of mordor
Picked up Ryse: Son of Rome for like 3 bucks. Runs great on the deck and seems fun although I hear it's quite short
It’s short, but looks good and is a fun story. There’s a gladiator mode on it that was fun for a few hours too. $3 is definitely a good price for it.
Can confirm. Haven't finished it yet but runs and looks great is solid fun.
Doom 2016 $4 Doom Eternal $10
Does eternal run well on deck? I tried doom 2016 and it wasn't running too well, even with low settings
Doom 2016 is running pretty good for me on the steam deck. I didn’t make any tweaks. Had some controller issues early on but not recently.

Eternal runs insanely well on the deck
Greedfall
A plague tale: innocence
Tomb raider 2013
Currently playing through this on my ROG Ally and it’s a wonderful experience, my friend on his OLED SD is also really enjoying it
Celeste is so cheap right now.
Celeste and doom 2016
Resident evil HD, resident evil 2 and 3 remakes.
Celeste, Darkest Dungeon
Mortal Shell is a really good souls-like. Feels the closest to a FromSoft souls game without being FromSoft.

Quake
Grim Dawn is a great deal at $8
It's a couple cents over your $10 budget, but I think I'm finally going to pull the trigger on DDLC+
I got Batman Arkham Knight and all dlc for like $6 and Republic Commando for less than $4.

Neither of them are playable on deck
