Trees. Please just add trees or some form of vegetation. I'm sick of European settlements with no form of green anywhere, just makes the world look so plain, boring, and dull. Not to mention their in the literal Great Forest and the residents were all raised there before space was cleared for Tempest. It's literally a part of their culture/identity being the Great Forest yet they leave no sign of it. That said Tempest has been pretty inconsistent tbh, one shot they have some trees, the other it looks boring as shit and another straight out of Japan?!?
Little head in my voice was constantly asking why Treyni/Dryads weren't pissed off by the amount of land clearing + lack of vegetation in Tempest. In the initial stages the deforestation was immense
Didn't they start with a natural clearing in the forest near the sealed cave? I know in the anime they didn't show that and it was implied they rebuilt Rigurds village without a move.
I suggest canals, and large chunks of vegetation alongsode them, like how the Dutch did it. The canals would also be an early form of plumbing, great infrastructure investment and social space.

I've always felt he should also have some cool looking object that in his slime form is like a slime core, but as slimes of this world don't have that it would basically be like a crown or royal scepter, probably some trophy of conquest or something.
A Burger and Fries place! Ya got so many Japanese dishes, but if I ever visit, my dumb American Pallet might not like some of the foods, mostly because I don’t like sea food and I find new textures weird.
But I would love a place for Burgers and a fries- if I ever become an other worlder, it would be nice to know that a big piece of my childhood is preserved in my life.
A landmark. Something Iconic that could be established as a meeting place, something that would be put on a map.
One basic Idea for such a landmark, would be a statue. Either of Rimuru, since he is the leader of the nation, or Veldora, since he was so integral to the forest for a long time, or maybe even something that would symbolicly stand for Great Sage/Raphael (of course everyone else would think that it is just stands for wisdom instead of Rimurus skill).
Another cool landmark, would be a tower, high enough to see the whole city and it could be used to display something, like a clock or other stuff.
Probably something similar to Cloudgate (The Bean) or the Vegas Sphere... A big blue resin sculpture of Rimuru perhaps?
Might be a bit reflective though, could melt down a street like that one time when a designer accidentally designed a tower to be a solar-powered death ray in London.
Every 5 feet you cross, there's always a Rimuru sculpture or even a statue nearby. Rimuru here, Rimuru there...
There's even ones under the sewers. Speaking of sewers, they might even have special designs on those manhole covers like the ones in Japan...
And maybe not just limited to Rimuru either, but also to his other Patrons like Shion, Diablo, Benimaru and Geld... You get the idea.

I’d probably add a more accessible beach, because I like beaches (I grew up on the coast). But if we’re talking about actual amenities/upgrades, I feel as though having street lamps would be a huge boon, and to my knowledge the trade roads don’t have them

Honestly, I think a delivery service would go a long way. Especially for the governmental items like healing potions. We see gabiru's men who are producing the potions also deliver them. The process could be streamlined and it would inevitably create a hospital meaning you'll be able to recieve medical treatment without the need of running into one of those guys when they're on a delivery run.

Some fortifications around the city tbh, unless they already have them and I just didn't notice. Yeah they got powerful monsters and people living there, but some watchtowers, city walls, checkpoints and whatnot wouldn't go amiss. I mean, they just survived a big army attacking them, there is due cause for them to think about some defenses for the ordinary people.

The Heroes Labyrinth still doesn't have adventure tourism yet, right? Escort missions, staffed lodging with a view of the action. Perks for repeat customers letting them change something to give them a more enjoyable view. If the level is too dangerous for the honorable guests, teleport the entire building to a good vantage point. They could be pulling in so much more money from the place!
Central Bank. Then introduce paper money, make the Tempest paper money as the world's currency reserve.
Oil Rigs. Search the world and Find oil asap
Powerplants (Geothermal, Solar, Wind, Hydro, Nuclear). Introduce electricity.

Honestly, I think a delivery service would go a long way. Especially for the governmental items like healing potions. We see gabiru's men who are producing the potions also deliver them. The process could be streamlined and it would inevitably create a hospital meaning you'll be able to recieve medical treatment without the need of running into one of those guys when they're on a delivery run.
