That three siblings look like their grandmother?

Nyx-Splat_

If you don’t realise, here :}   Khessa has Aditi’s eyes  Janai has Aditi’s hair  Karim has Aditi’s skin

Banana_Mage_

I’m pretty sure that they’re all related so that makes sense.

kenmadragon

Pretty much. Khessa, Janai and Karim are siblings, and Aditi is their great-grandmother. Stands to reason some of Aditi's physical traits would be reflected in her descendents.

Delphina34

I thought she was their grandmother, not great-grandmother

kenmadragon

Not according to [the TDP wiki ](https://dragonprince.fandom.com/wiki/Aditi)(which references a [Q&A on the official Discord](https://gyazo.com/e63f422977fd5af7d8fa639366539d6b)). "Grandmother" is just how they refer to Queen Aditi, but she's actually *many more* generations than that from Khessa/Janai/Karim.

AntTuM

You shouldn't read that cesspool of misunderstanding and headcanons portraid as canon where a fans comment on a reddit post is cited as a source. The wiki is unreliable at best, and the admin bans you for not agreeing with her. Got banned after the release of S3 when I told her Callum is not an archmage while she was convinced he was. It is the wiki from where the circulating claim that elves arrived from somewhere while humans were the original inhabitants orginates from and that was up for years. In S05E05 Karim calls Aditi his great grandmother.

GabbydaFox

It mentioned that they are siblings in the 3rd - 4th seasons. lol

ChildofFenris1

Isn’t that there mom? Sooooo

kenmadragon

Not Mother, Great-Grandmother. Aditi was the great-grandmother of Khess, Janai and Karim, the three of whom are siblings.

ChildofFenris1

Yeah what is OP shocked?

SanSenju

but who has her axe?

smthngwyrd

And my bow

JonnyAU

So basically, all these sunfire elves just look the same to you, huh? /s

RegretComplete3476

Congratulations. You've discovered genetics

ChildofFenris1

I don’t get it

Sharp_Iodine

Okay… siblings look like their great grandmother. Am I missing anything else?

MysteriousTheory91

Two are assholes (Khessa) (Karim) the other one isn't (Janai) i wonder who Queen Aditit was more similar to??? So was she there great grandmother??? and what's the lifespan of Elves in TDP???? does that mean Janai and Rayla and Terry will outlive their mates???

Fearless_Feed7028

I believe Queen Aditi was said to be around 300 years old. Aarqvos says to Khessa that she was just like her grandmother, in which ways I’m not sure.

Fearless_Feed7028

She was their great-grandmother

FormerLawfulness6

I think 300 years referred to the time of her disappearance. That's about when Aaravos's conspiracy was revealed, but also when Katolis and the Pentarchy were established. I don't remember Aditi's age being mentioned specifically. But based on the fact that only 4 generations have passed in that time, it's probably safe to assume they live at least 300 years.

Hydrasaur

Queen Aditi kinda was, but in a good way. I mean, she manipulated The Bloodmoon Huntress herself into becoming her servant.

Logical-Patience-397

That Karim is the only one without facial markings? Canonically, they’re paint—“like henna”—so Karim lacking them wouldn’t be a genetic variation, but a personal choice.

Anarasha

I think you just noticed genetics :-)

Hydrasaur

They all have different crowns?

nucleargandhi3000

That the crowns get less ornate as they go down the line of succession?

Viridianscape

...Karim doesn't have any eye-thingies? Khessa and Aditi's eye-thingies are the same, while Janai's are different?

Mrslinkydragon

I dunno but I'd really like the aunt to hoof him between the legs!

Ok_Pianist_3439

Karim doesn't have eye-markings like Janai and Khessa do?

Nyx-Splat_

I understand why you all came at me with the: “what else am I missing?”, “three siblings look like their grandmother?”, and there was one that said, “so basically, all the Sunfire Elves look the same to you, huh?” I don’t know if you’re joking or being sarcastic or serious, but I don’t take it to heart, though I feel some of these were quite rude-natured. I simply realised the genetical connection between Aditi and her great-grandchildren, and was very excited.
