Love some heavy and hard designs. His whole heavy weapons/explosives vibes and his kukri knife made him one of my favorite designs in the whole Halo series.
A skull being carved into the very visor that gives you the vision you need to survive dangerous combat situations really sells the dual bravado-psychosis that a super soldier fighting on a doomed front would have. It’s just wild enough to feel real, in a literary and allegorical way. I love it.

Reach will forever be one of my favorite games, and Emile was absolutely my favorite character. Will never forget his all-time great quote of "I'm ready, how bout you?">!as he turns around to face the Zealot who just shoved an energy sword through his back/chest, and stabs it in the fucking face with his knife before himself dying!<. Still gets me to this day.
