I started the other day, farming t8 getting ready for deep space. Auctions still move surprisingly fast, not just commodities. The mechanic is a lot of fun, I'd recommend at least giving that a go
This season i had the most FE I've ever had. Yet for some reason, I hardly spent it. I think I just really didn't like the season mechanic. Looking forward to new season though. Always love a fresh start.

I believe so. There is no "in between" this time
There is never any inbetween time, but we also didn't have a pre-season this time

weakest season ever as well the changes to defense and the auto skill triggers were a were not good, its nice that at least this season ending soon
Personally i play on phone auto skill help me alot.
