I bought a super large colander and before I empty my bags into my storage buckets, I filter out the dust. It prevents flameouts and settling like this. Plus you can throw the dust in the bottom of your trash cans to absorb that nastiness.
i was using strictly lumberjack pellets for a while and really loved how much more smoke it provided and was less dusty inside. I ran out of pellets last minute and found some pitboss at lowes which ive been using and have really liked these ones too. Definitely better than the traeger pellets, ive completed weened off of their pellets.
I haven’t seen any Lumberjack in my area. I switched to Bear Mountain from Traeger pellets and haven’t seen a reason to go back. Lots less dust. I can get 20 lb bags of Bear Mountain for around $9 at my grocery store.

Genius
Can you link said super large colander for the people
I purchased it at H Mart. It's an international grocery store. I measured the top of my 5 gallon bucket.
Traeger brand is the worst. Lumberjack all the way!
Clear winner: Lumberjack
I sifted an entire bag of Traeger Apple pellets and was shocked to see this much dust. What pellets do you use?
Lumberjack. Cheapest yet best pellets out there
Thanks
Only gripe is o have to venture to the other side of town to Dicks sporting goods to get them
From what I can tell that’s the only retail store that has them?
Rural King sells them, if you have one of those close.
I'm in the same boat. I just stock up once a month with 5 or 6 bags.
The pit boss competition blend is good also. $15 for a 40 lb bag at Lowe’s

I like the bear more than lumberjack, more of a flavor preference on the competition blend. Both great pellets
Lumberjack is less dustier going in, but way more dustier going out. That’s a fact. Traeger brand is just the opposite.
No one has ever said that before
Lumberjack
I grind my pellets down to a dust. Less waste than sifting the dust out of the bags and discarding the solid pellets.
Toot it
I use a noodle strainer. This is the way.
Such vacuum
Lumberjack
Great pellets. Not as dusty going in, yet way more dustier going out. Not quite sure what that means.
I use lumberjack pellets and store them in an Oklahoma joe bucket that comes with a colander/screened bucket that filters out the dust. Awesome
Just wanted to say your username made me crack up
Why’s that?
Fans at golf tournaments will be kicked out now for saying brooksy to DeChambeau.
Ahhhhhh. Definitely didn’t think of that. Go Koepka
