I have no clue how anyone makes any money off of this. I am a substitute teacher off session, and also a security guard. There were no open shifts for me this break so I decided to give UE a shot. I'm in southern California, in a city with a good amount of people. Thought maybe if I stayed on for 8h I could hit $100. Still haven't. I have taken every single order. I try to go to the hot spots, to local restaurants. The gas up was $56 and knowing I have to pay taxes on this "income" is insane. What's left? Maybe $10 or $20. All the other delivery services have waitlisted me, so I can't multi app - I'm almost sure I could reach my goal if I did.

I think it depends on your market. I personally take every trip just to keep the clock ticking for the minimum wage part of prop 22 and miles going. but I'm also going to other areas in my city other drivers seem to avoid. (I live in such an area) 5 to 6 hours is about 50-80. 8 hours I average 130-150. If I work more than that, which if I'm not mistaken is 12 then I imagine I (potentially) could hit that number. That's upfront, after prop 22 I don't know what would come out too as I haven't gone past 9 hours straight yet. But thats me starting at about 6am to 7am waiting for a trip to populate (which fluctuates) and ending at 7pm at the latest. (For safety reasons I come home when the sun is setting.)
200 a day is very possible in some markets. Last Sunday I made $259 in 8 hours and that was the longest day I worked all week. I average between 20-25/hr daily with a a really bad day being 18/hr.

I used to drive eats & rideshare . It's definitely possible without a doubt in my mind you can make 2 to 3 hundred a day .. everybody says depends on your market blah blah blah ,you gotta figure out the market you in , where to be at what times what days & what days to stay home etc ... just uber eats its 1000% possible 1 app not multiple.. I drove 34 miles away to a rich high class neighborhood, did eats at Panera restaurant I found middle of no where breakfast through lunch 200 , these wealthy people tip very well ,just give them above standard service then il drove 2 blocks aways and did Amazon wholefoods from 3pm to 7pm make 100 to 200 there , it's doable just GRIND & MOVE FASTTTT
This is just recruiting more slaves and vehicles to destroy. They overfeed new hires in the first 3 months so that you quit your jobs and they got you on the hook and then it dwindles down to nothing and your left with a beaten down vehicle and no job it's criminal

Not true .not if i got paid 13 dollars for 17 km 45 mim lol and 3.09 for 8 km they are taking there percent your millage. Like if you do 17 km 45 mim they would pay you 17 no money for your time anymore .so 17 - 4 dollars uber told me was the fee also now the percent uber take from the drive is based on what you make each trip i was told .uber does not show you this on the app anymore and onnyou tax form you ha e to Guess how much .

I make at least $200 per day. I work 7-9 hours in Australia. Fuel costs me about $70ish (3 days), diesel. I accept most orders, however the ‘add on’ pick ups if under $5 I absolutely won’t wait for if they’re not ready at pick up. Some days I’ll make over $30 in tips, other days no tips. If I work with a quest on I can get my hourly rate to $50 (weekend evenings). Just because in one area this may be unheard of, doesn’t mean it’s not possible. Just saying.
Doesn’t matter that people can potentially make, it matters what YOU can make in your market. Besides the macro scale trend is a vast slowdown in demand so best to get another job, in almost all cases you cannot make good money doing this, and it’s a waste of time part time or full time
All depends where you live and how you utilize the apps. I’ve had over $300 days and had below $100 days. I found more steady success multi apping. I take advantage of the different promos/ quest.
At the end of the day, it’s your car and your time.
I Will say from experience in 2021 I was making about 23-25 an hour during dinner. I only ever worked 4 hours at a time and usually made between 85-110 after tips. So if I did 4 hours from let’s stay 10:30-2:30 , I’d probably end up with a little less but maybe around $75. So those 8 hours I’d expect to make about 175-200. If i was working 12, it depends what time of day but I could probably expect 250 often. This was in 2021 tho, so I might not know how bad it has gotten.
Honestly it all depends on your market, I find it hilarious that most have been doing this for a little bit yet still try and compare markets, I use to watch a YT guy from Chicago and people was pissed when he started to show what he made… you can’t compare Chicago to a small town or LA to Cleveland or Baltimore to Richmond VA

I've calculated that I personally make $10-$11 an hour doing this. Also about $.50 a mile. That's after taxes and car expenses. Some days are better than others, but everyone I go out, that's what I expect to make.
You ever notice on DD or Uber if they post on FB and online is like 60 hrs and even if they make $500-2000/wk which I highly doubt then they have no life. I at least know I have a regular job so guaranteed pay without wknds unless I do OT, but OT pay is still better and not driving 😂. Like my friend says ppl are lazy and refuse to get a real job. i have made 100 in 3 4 hr and some days same 100 in 7 8 hrs most were around 200mx for 8 9 hrs.i average 15 to 20 an hr but for me to do 200 i have to drive 130 150 miles
In the early days of uber, they got caught many times having phone banks making fake calls to competitors to spur dissatisfaction among drivers of other apps and to cost their competitors revenue.
It would be foolish not to believe they're up to the same kind of BS to manipulate drivers and customers wherever they think they can get away with it today.

The bigger cities bring in the least amount of money now. I cannot hit over 10/hr on the metro area, but can still break 20 doing small town driving. The cities are a bigger supply of drivers than orders.
I noticed my doordash earnings went up in the college zone as soon as college got out. Usually the opposite happens. That means the schools were supplying more drivers than orders the past semester.
It’s been at least a year since I made $100 in a day of deliveries, but I usually only work a few hours here and there. It’s been over 2 years since I broke the $200 barrier and that was on Family Day, which is a holiday in Canada that many people still work on, especially in the hospitality industry. And whenever I’ve made over $100 it was by running multiple apps.
I easily make $100 in five hours on a Friday night, actually driving about 4 hours, and $200 bucks a weekend driving about 9. But I live right downtown in an ideal area.
$200 is pretty easy in my market. 300 is a little harder and usually requires a lot longer day and a little bit of luck. Still though I usually have a few $300 days every week.
99% of posts that claim to make $200-$300 are fake. Grubhub, UberEats and Doordash have "actors" post these fake earnings post as part of their marketing strategy to recruit new drivers.
It takes me DoorDash, UberEATS, GrubHub, Shipt, and Instacart and about 8 hours a day to make about $200 a day. Some days seem like I am not going to break it, but then I get a ton of good orders at the end.
I see $300 being extremely difficult. But $200 a day is completely doable in my area during winter & summer, since we get more tourist orders than local. Back in my hometown I got average $70-$100, but I had to double-app with doordash and UE had multiplier.
It's gotten bad in my market but not $5/hour bad. I went out for 5 hours and made $112, all UberEATS, no multi-apping. This time last year it would have been almost twice that. I couldn't afford gas if it got that bad. Holy shit! I hope things turn around for you. 🙏🏾
I actually am making about $200 a day right now by working guaranteed wage times 8 hours a day. I recognize this may not last, but I’m happy while it does.
It just depends. I’m definitely not a “plant” and sometimes when I work from 8am-1:30pm I make like $100-150 and then from 5-8/9pm another $100-150. Sometimes more, sometimes less. My area is really good tho compared to the other places I see
I have consistently made over $30hr for the whole year so far. Some days over $40hr.
But yes, that is multi apping/cherry picking on several apps. There are a select few markets that are still amazing for UE. From my experience, Tampa is no longer one of them. Been doing UE since 2016 with over 7,000 deliveries. At the peak I could break $300 and on rare days $400 with solo UE. Those days are long gone.
I still make bank, but that's because I was smart early on and signed up for as many apps as possible.
I made 38 dollars today working 3 hours, which is crap. I have made 300 in a day, but its rare, and almost always involves working 13 hours. (you can get over 12 if it assigns the last deliveries before the 12 hour mark.)

some of these posts, you look at the account, and it just doesn't add up. I questioned one on povertyfinance the other day, the post had been up for many hours. Then suddenly out of nowhere the OP went from 100 upvotes to 1700. Other commenters agreed that it was a farming account.
I made 170$ in 7 hours once. Could've made more but it was getting dark and I needed to take my prescription. It's possible but you'd have to do 10 hour days probably to get there
I did 6 1/2 hour made only $160. On Memorial Day I didn’t expect it to be busy.

Then after I started again around 4pm last drop off 9:30pm doing Uber/doordash. I wasn’t on schedule for DD but the app was busy so I was able to hop on.
Uber was 7 trips for $74
Doordash was $86 for 6 trips.
Uber eats died around 7pm and nothing but low offers.
Doordash was pretty good offers.
Today Uber has been dead I’ve had it running but no offers. Was doing shipt today. Only got one decent offer for $15 on ubereats but it was canceled just as I pulled up to the pizza shop …

I learned alot working as a driver and as a hybrid driver/street level corporate Tasker for bitesquad. A much smaller delivery app that competed in a few good markets.
This guy poses and speaks like a normal driver. Shows amounts you'd never get. And all you can do is call bs, but offer no intricate reason or proof. He made video after video and there were real drivers in the comments getting interested. Sharing their earnings, asking his tips.
Well, once I got promoted positions I was in the loop with discord chats and could see other markets, dispatch chat, support chat etc. I crapped myself when I saw youtubers name....with a market manager tag. I asked my boss how long he's been a manager. She said he's been there a while.
I was honestly furious because he really goes on a whole youtune channel and lies about earnings. I don't know how Uber works but there you could assign orders and often managers/the 2 to 4 promoted market drivers, were the first priority line for most the $30 to $90 tip orders. My boss used to tell me managers used to be required to do X amount of delivery each month.
Do I think bitesquad is unique in the delivery game? No. Uber, Doordash, postmates, grunhub, they are probably not that much different behind doors. So I think it would be naive to think there aren't markets where you got promoted potions and managers actually making unrealistic amounts and sharing it like commonplace. There's also people who really do hustle good and earn it without aid.
So it's impossible to say with Uber because frankly $200 to $300 sounds low with aid, but the dude I posted made such unrealistically high amounts I don't know what he was thinking. It's like cheating on a test and purposely not doing perfect lol. So maybe some people out there do work promoted positions and get the chance to snipe 3 to 4 $40 to $70 tip orders. If a small company like the squad had nearly daily big tips Uber must absolutely have a big cater scene weren't not as privy to.
The idea of the promoted guys getting select orders exists and that's fine, but what's enraging is when I've caught one red handed promoted bullshit. So while the video and channel is older and a different company, I would doubt the practice doesn't exist in every current company. I hate tin foil hats but sometimes they're real.
Ps. Uber already caps tips and says "the customer tipped you more" when that's not the case. See capping tips is OK. It's the LYING part that is enraging. Uber has demonstrated a huge willingness to communicate 110% falsehoods.
I think it all depends on where you are. My boyfriend makes $150-200 a day in a normal day shift and I usually make $75-$100 just working 6pm-9pm. We’re in a pretty busy, touristy city tho.
Don’t think I’m a plant lol. I make 130 without boosts on weekend days only driving about 6 hours. That’s 20+ bro. I am in a very large city but it sounds like you are too? Maybe try to time your drives a little better? I drove boosts only this weekend, drove about 12-13 hours, and made 330ish. But another night I made 60 in 4.5 hours. So in my opinion, maybe just try to pick better times? Late night is always great for me in the Denver metro area
Maybe you’re market is still on the smaller side. I’m in Chicago and I make $24-30 an hour doing both doordash and uber eats with 70% of my orders coming from Uber Eats.
I'm used to some door dash beta form I was on being botted like that endlessly, so I'm numb to those posts. In my market, it's definitely possible on several days of the week, but I treat each day like that as a rare occurrence (also, I don't like working that much nowadays compared to before).

I make $150 in about 4 hours in Hawaii. The peak times are great. My wife has done a 10 hour day and made $305 her best day, but usually about $250 or so in a day on average.
We typically just go out separately now between 4pm-8pm 2 or 3 times a week.
lol i average around 33 an hour but i only work dinner rush on the weekends... made 160 in 3.5 hours sunday. made 53 an hour mothers day but that's cause it was storming 215 in 4 hours.
Yeah i live in a good market with alot of good orders and i just dont even get enough orders that if i accepted every single 1 even the sucky 1’s would give me over $200 in a day. I make over $200 with just uber and doordash but definitely not with just 1 app.
I am a customer not driver but I can see that happy in Vancouver, BC. Drivers seems to be busy all the time. Every order the driver is doing at least 1-2 extra stops on the way. Assuming even mine is last stop, it would still avg out to be 15 mins or less an order. I have not had my meal delivered by a driver just for my order in a long time.
I just usually check their profile when I hear such nonsense. Most of the time I can figure out real quick that most of them are just bots…. With a few agitators.
I usually make about 100 on Uber a day if I'm in from like noon till 9 pm. But I'm in a town of 15k. So I usually only get like 6-10 orders a day. I just sit at home most of the day and go out when I get orders. I stay logged into doordash too but don't get as many orders as Uber. Good days like Saturdays I can make like 200.
Idk, I’m in Austin and made $120 in 5 and a half hours last Thursday evening! It’s not a slam dunk every single day but I’ve figured out the hot spots of town to position myself in and at what time and if I drive a few hours in the morning in the right place and few hours at night I can break $200. But it’s heavily dependent on surplus’s of drivers out as well. I do really well between the hours of 6am and 10am on weekdays and Saturdays have been super good for me 6am-noon surprisingly.
5 hours and 180+ yesterday. Depending on the market and about a thousand other variables. It's rare but it's definitely do-able. If I focused on the job it could be consistent.. But I don't care that much lol

I don't do that well but I also don't do that poorly. The truth lies in the in-between. I think it also depends on the market you're in and probably better or worse tips in different areas.
Well, the majority probably doesn’t but that doesn’t mean every single person here saying they do is a liar. I know people who do amazing and people who make $5/hr. Most people I know average to about $20-$25 an hour. They aren’t getting rich but their bills are paid.
Gas is 25% of that and they’re out from 10am to 10pm and hammering their cars. They see nothing wrong with charging all their gas on their cards. And working for companies who do not pay any gas compensation or hourly wage. I’m sure they’re not wearing the pants in their household either. Weasels with no spine. It’s not sustainable. It’s a decent little side gig for a couple hours a day. But full time is a recipe for a bunch of bad shit.
Not for everyone. Electric cars, motorcycles, hybrids, and scooters are super cheap to operate. I use a scooter, my daily cost is just less than $6. That's assuming I work everyday. $4.50ish a day for gas, $9 a week for an oil change, $70 a year for insurance. Averaged out, that's less than $6 a day. If I wanted to buy a brand new scooter every year (of the same make and model of mine, or one that costs the exact same) I only need to make about $11 a day. Again, assuming I work everyday. My first trip everyday pays more than the $11 needed.
And don't even get me started on the free modes of transportation such as walking, cycling, and skating.
I make enough to pay my bills and have enough left for toys. If that's not sustainable to you, then you're living above your means and you need to take a budgeting class (I actually think Uber offers one).
I do not think the FTC and/or US Department of Labor even knows about Uber Eats bait and switch tactics which Door Dash doesn’t do. Uber has enabled their customers to scam us straight up. That’s how much they value you. And also UE’s stupid ass non-delivery mystery letters they send out to drivers when the driver has no idea what time, day, restaurant, customer, address, etc about food gone missing. How is the driver supposed to correct his/her conduct out on the road if they have no idea what went wrong? They’re afraid of retaliation towards a customer but DorkDash isn’t? Give me a break. Get some balls, Uber. All this does is lower moral for the driver and they’re left gutted trying to figure out what customer said what and who is scamming. These companies just walk on the backs of their drivers and they get unlimited free gas, free mileage, free expensive car maintenance, free labor, zero benefits. I know damn well we are independent contractors and not employees. But anyone with a brain and a calculator should be able to figure out it’s a $10/hr job after expenses including gas and your time and the annihilation to your car. That tweaker crack head mentality of “I made $28/hr tonight” is such delusional horse shit. Only children do not know the difference between gross and net profits. You are not making $300 a day. You are getting boned from these gig companies though who have skirted all the labor laws put in place. That’s for damn sure.
What a bunch of BS! I've been doing this gig since October of 2022 and I barely make even $100 on any day, and I live in NYC, supposedly the place where Uber Eats deliverers make it big! What a load of BS I tell you, I can't tell you how many loads of $2.00 delivery pings for an absurd distance and total delivery time I get (all in both Manhattan and Queens)! It's all advertisement in order for Uber to get more drivers, bikers, etc on their Eats platform
Same here i use to make $1100 a week working 6 days 8 to 10 hours with a little hard work for a year straight it was great. Then overnight it started declining slowly now working same hours same 6 days a week im barely taking home 80 bucks a day before gas im always trying to hope its just a off week when it started to get down to 900 a week then it started going down more and more then uber will keep me addicted by giving me a random 200 dollar day then crickets the rest of the week. I park by busy places see other drivers flying in and out its getting rough im about to give up after 10,200 deliveries in 2 years full time it would have been more deliveries but 2023 it has been bad
Its not an off week. Uber eats won a law suit that removed all protections that are customary for the average employee at a typical job. I noticed a significant drop since then. In PHX you're lucky to pull a $ a mile $10 and hour. Typical is 30 cents a mile 5-8 an hour.
I can second that for Phx. I use to be able to always make 100$ in a night 3-5 hours. That was 2 years ago. Now im lucky to make 50-60$ in that time. Not to mention all the 20+ miles trips they offer 2-4$ for.
Its insane that they let those long ones through. Its because of how they handle chain stores, but it shouldn't even bother trying to get someone to pickup McDonalds from 15 miles away.
300 is a large stretch but for me 6 to 8 hours can bring in 150 to 200.

The one I highlighted was this past memorial day where for 8.5 hours I made about 180 and got a 20 dollar cash tip from some frat dudes. (30 was from a promo but even then it's not bad)
There’s a Facebook group called “Doordash drivers with attitude” and a lot of them do Uber & others and EVERY DAY there’s multiple posts of people’s earnings like “$1k this week” and they full on COMPETE in the comments like bro it’s not that deep.

It’s more than possible but you have to put every hour of the day into making that. I did an 83 hour week for 1800 a month or so ago but it’s just exhausting getting to those numbers
150$ in 10 hours with a multi app. Best you will get even in a city of 3.5 mil.

Uber eats/ grub hub/ door dash all got rough when the pandemic started to end. My respects to those who still do it as a full time but there’s no way you can make good money if you’re doing good delivery.

These posts are fake and likely to get new drivers to come on board. It’s beneficial for them to have new drivers taking all the shit orders and thinking AR matters before they learn how to cherry pick
I'm in CA too and that's a crock. Especially on GH and on a scooter. I NEVER see GH drivers anywhere I pick up and I work a shit ton of hours. Only DD and other UE.
There’s simply just different markets and tbh it’s not solely based on number of people in a city! I live in a city and average about $250 in a 8-10 hour day but my buddy lives in a city about half the size of mine and makes about $350 in 8-10 hours. Unfortunately people in many large cities just don’t use the apps. Laziness and household income also effect this. Im I’m FL so everyone orders food cause they too lazy to go get it.
Ehhh. You're kinda right. I'm in Al. Not big fr. But I can go to ATL and make $250 in ab 8 hrs if I'm lucky. $150 if it's average. I prefer Birmingham bc it's not quite as crowded and I still make ab $100 a day for 8 hrs. I think it's ab which ones you take. I only take $10+ if I can. And I don't do less than a dollar a mile. You can grind $500 a week consistently. It does suck that your car and maintenance and all is included in that average pay tho. That's where the real problem is w ppl doing it everyday.
I think it’s a combination of living in a bigger market so newer drives don’t have as big of an impact and finding little sweet spots for orders.
I don’t typically work longer hours, but if I do I can see those #s. I think the only time that’s viable for people is those who live in bigger markets and cities. I’m in Arizona and live with a bunch of towns close by like Phoenix so I get more markets, and I have a special little area I drive that seems to pick up higher priced orders as well(granted, I protect that location I drive like it’s the key to Atlantis lol) but my market doesn’t see a ton of individual income reduction from new drivers since there’s just a lot more orders coming through. Being a driver in a town with 1,000 people and getting 10 new drivers is gunna hurt your income, but 1,000 new drivers in a city with millions won’t hurt as mich
I literally can make $300 on a Saturday and/or Sunday in New Orleans and when I was in Sacramento. I’m not a plant I swear. I know a plant would also say this lol but I can see where in slower markets this sounds like bullshit.

I am in Dallas tx and in just looking at my app in the last 24 hours or so I was logged in for 11 hours. Which ultimately it's more like 14 lol and made $205.00 but spent 70 on gas. Usually about 1/3 of my income. I mean I could be doing something drastically wrong but I don't think so. Anyone seeing something completely different?
DELIVER PIZZA, I used to make about $19 n hour on average with Pizza Hut, not sure if I’m able to start working for them again, but I might go back to Domino’s cause I hear they pay per mile
This year I average about $80-$100 for a 6 hour night. In 2022 I actually made around $150-$200 a few nights but it wasn’t the norm. Yeah there’s no way you’re making $200-$300 a night unless you luck out and get huge orders and huge tips to go along with it
I have a feeling most normal people had given up on social forums a while ago leaving social media PR teams and bots take over, as it’s no use arguing with them.
This including tipping posts but they sometimes contradict each other. Tipping does help the apps save or pocket money they otherwise have to pay and cutting into their shareholders profits.
These days though it appears social media traffic is slowing all over. I am guess because the PR teams believe they already had won their battles or lost them no need to fight anymore.
I mean you can def break $200 but I would say, not on UberEATS alone, only if you multi-app. This past weekend I made $193 on Friday, $194 on Saturday & $172 on Sunday all within about 6.5 hrs of work. I wish I broke $200 but I started a bit too late each day and worked till about 3 in the morning. Had I started at 7 I definitely would've made close to $250. One-apping it just doesn't cut it these days.

Driving time is more like 7 hrs, and the rest were napping and declining orders. And I didn't even go into the busiest area once.

If you focus on driving during busy times, and you're actually out driving in the busy restaurant areas, there's nothing crazy about 200+ per day. That's just a fact. It will take already 10+hrs altogether most days. But again, that's spread out over the 3 busy periods. And whatever random you DO happen to get at home that's worth leaving for. You won't get enough sitting at home waiting tho, even if you live close to the restaurants. You think they haven't factored in your home address against the average time it takes you to leave? Why wouldn't they? Wouldn't you?

Concept of diminishing returns, with DD at least. If you skip the lunch dash, you often get better offers for dinner dash. You will make more if you work both, but at a lower hourly rate.
They seemingly ration the work, to assure themselves enough driver coverage. Making too much too fast makes them think you will stop once you hit your goal.
The enemies are time and miles. That includes sitting in your car between lunch and dinner.
If you don't want to multi-app, maybe use different apps at different times of the day.

Yupp well back in 2021/22 I was able to make $200-$400 a day easy. In 2023 I haven't broken $100 a day just with Ubereats. The only way I can brake $100 is using Instacart and even that's iffy.
I have no clue how anyone makes any money off of this. I am a substitute teacher off session, and also a security guard. There were no open shifts for me this break so I decided to give UE a shot. I'm in southern California, in a city with a good amount of people. Thought maybe if I stayed on for 8h I could hit $100. Still haven't. I have taken every single order. I try to go to the hot spots, to local restaurants. The gas up was $56 and knowing I have to pay taxes on this "income" is insane. What's left? Maybe $10 or $20. All the other delivery services have waitlisted me, so I can't multi app - I'm almost sure I could reach my goal if I did.
I can make $200 a day pretty easily. If I didn’t care about my car and just drove around nonstop taking $10 plus offers.

I think it depends on your market. I personally take every trip just to keep the clock ticking for the minimum wage part of prop 22 and miles going. but I'm also going to other areas in my city other drivers seem to avoid. (I live in such an area) 5 to 6 hours is about 50-80. 8 hours I average 130-150. If I work more than that, which if I'm not mistaken is 12 then I imagine I (potentially) could hit that number. That's upfront, after prop 22 I don't know what would come out too as I haven't gone past 9 hours straight yet. But thats me starting at about 6am to 7am waiting for a trip to populate (which fluctuates) and ending at 7pm at the latest. (For safety reasons I come home when the sun is setting.)

I make at least $200 per day. I work 7-9 hours in Australia. Fuel costs me about $70ish (3 days), diesel. I accept most orders, however the ‘add on’ pick ups if under $5 I absolutely won’t wait for if they’re not ready at pick up. Some days I’ll make over $30 in tips, other days no tips. If I work with a quest on I can get my hourly rate to $50 (weekend evenings). Just because in one area this may be unheard of, doesn’t mean it’s not possible. Just saying.
It is HIGHLY dependent on the market you’re in. I have a couple $200+ days a week still, but I’m also in a populous city with a high tourist presence.
Doesn’t matter that people can potentially make, it matters what YOU can make in your market. Besides the macro scale trend is a vast slowdown in demand so best to get another job, in almost all cases you cannot make good money doing this, and it’s a waste of time part time or full time

All depends where you live and how you utilize the apps. I’ve had over $300 days and had below $100 days. I found more steady success multi apping. I take advantage of the different promos/ quest. At the end of the day, it’s your car and your time.
I Will say from experience in 2021 I was making about 23-25 an hour during dinner. I only ever worked 4 hours at a time and usually made between 85-110 after tips. So if I did 4 hours from let’s stay 10:30-2:30 , I’d probably end up with a little less but maybe around $75. So those 8 hours I’d expect to make about 175-200. If i was working 12, it depends what time of day but I could probably expect 250 often. This was in 2021 tho, so I might not know how bad it has gotten.

$200 a day happens, but is rare. Of all of the thousands of Redditors on this sub, a few will make a few hundred in a day. I've calculated that I personally make $10-$11 an hour doing this. Also about $.50 a mile. That's after taxes and car expenses. Some days are better than others, but everyone I go out, that's what I expect to make.

In the early days of uber, they got caught many times having phone banks making fake calls to competitors to spur dissatisfaction among drivers of other apps and to cost their competitors revenue. It would be foolish not to believe they're up to the same kind of BS to manipulate drivers and customers wherever they think they can get away with it today.

The bigger cities bring in the least amount of money now. I cannot hit over 10/hr on the metro area, but can still break 20 doing small town driving. The cities are a bigger supply of drivers than orders. I noticed my doordash earnings went up in the college zone as soon as college got out. Usually the opposite happens. That means the schools were supplying more drivers than orders the past semester.

I don’t do uber, but I do doordash in a city of 120,000 people and make $30 hr thurs-sat, and can easily hit $200-$300 a day those days.
It takes me DoorDash, UberEATS, GrubHub, Shipt, and Instacart and about 8 hours a day to make about $200 a day. Some days seem like I am not going to break it, but then I get a ton of good orders at the end.

It just depends. I’m definitely not a “plant” and sometimes when I work from 8am-1:30pm I make like $100-150 and then from 5-8/9pm another $100-150. Sometimes more, sometimes less. My area is really good tho compared to the other places I see
I have consistently made over $30hr for the whole year so far. Some days over $40hr. But yes, that is multi apping/cherry picking on several apps. There are a select few markets that are still amazing for UE. From my experience, Tampa is no longer one of them. Been doing UE since 2016 with over 7,000 deliveries. At the peak I could break $300 and on rare days $400 with solo UE. Those days are long gone. I still make bank, but that's because I was smart early on and signed up for as many apps as possible.

I made 38 dollars today working 3 hours, which is crap. I have made 300 in a day, but its rare, and almost always involves working 13 hours. (you can get over 12 if it assigns the last deliveries before the 12 hour mark.)

I questioned one on povertyfinance the other day, the post had been up for many hours. Then suddenly out of nowhere the OP went from 100 upvotes to 1700. Other commenters agreed that it was a farming account.

I wasn’t on schedule for DD but the app was busy so I was able to hop on. Uber was 7 trips for $74 Doordash was $86 for 6 trips. Uber eats died around 7pm and nothing but low offers. Doordash was pretty good offers. Today Uber has been dead I’ve had it running but no offers. Was doing shipt today. Only got one decent offer for $15 on ubereats but it was canceled just as I pulled up to the pizza shop …

I learned alot working as a driver and as a hybrid driver/street level corporate Tasker for bitesquad. A much smaller delivery app that competed in a few good markets. This guy poses and speaks like a normal driver. Shows amounts you'd never get. And all you can do is call bs, but offer no intricate reason or proof. He made video after video and there were real drivers in the comments getting interested. Sharing their earnings, asking his tips. Well, once I got promoted positions I was in the loop with discord chats and could see other markets, dispatch chat, support chat etc. I crapped myself when I saw youtubers name....with a market manager tag. I asked my boss how long he's been a manager. She said he's been there a while. I was honestly furious because he really goes on a whole youtune channel and lies about earnings. I don't know how Uber works but there you could assign orders and often managers/the 2 to 4 promoted market drivers, were the first priority line for most the $30 to $90 tip orders. My boss used to tell me managers used to be required to do X amount of delivery each month. Do I think bitesquad is unique in the delivery game? No. Uber, Doordash, postmates, grunhub, they are probably not that much different behind doors. So I think it would be naive to think there aren't markets where you got promoted potions and managers actually making unrealistic amounts and sharing it like commonplace. There's also people who really do hustle good and earn it without aid. So it's impossible to say with Uber because frankly $200 to $300 sounds low with aid, but the dude I posted made such unrealistically high amounts I don't know what he was thinking. It's like cheating on a test and purposely not doing perfect lol. So maybe some people out there do work promoted positions and get the chance to snipe 3 to 4 $40 to $70 tip orders. I think it all depends on where you are. My boyfriend makes $150-200 a day in a normal day shift and I usually make $75-$100 just working 6pm-9pm. We’re in a pretty busy, touristy city tho.

Maybe you’re market is still on the smaller side. I’m in Chicago and I make $24-30 an hour doing both doordash and uber eats with 70% of my orders coming from Uber Eats.

I've been lucky to make 100 after 7 or 9 hrs.
I make $150 in about 4 hours in Hawaii. The peak times are great. My wife has done a 10 hour day and made $305 her best day, but usually about $250 or so in a day on average. We typically just go out separately now between 4pm-8pm 2 or 3 times a week.

I am a customer not driver but I can see that happy in Vancouver, BC. Drivers seems to be busy all the time. Every order the driver is doing at least 1-2 extra stops on the way. Assuming even mine is last stop, it would still avg out to be 15 mins or less an order. I have not had my meal delivered by a driver just for my order in a long time.
I just usually check their profile when I hear such nonsense. Most of the time I can figure out real quick that most of them are just bots…. With a few agitators.

I just sit at home most of the day and go out when I get orders. I stay logged into doordash too but don't get as many orders as Uber. Good days like Saturdays I can make like 200.

Idk, I’m in Austin and made $120 in 5 and a half hours last Thursday evening! It’s not a slam dunk every single day but I’ve figured out the hot spots of town to position myself in and at what time and if I drive a few hours in the morning in the right place and few hours at night I can break $200. But it’s heavily dependent on surplus’s of drivers out as well. I do really well between the hours of 6am and 10am on weekdays and Saturdays have been super good for me 6am-noon surprisingly.

uh... not a plant but I've had $200 days in 8 hours in downtown sf on a bike. However I do multi-app, also ubereats is not the main squeeze even though it was up until the beginning of 2023. I worked 8:30 to 12:30 today and pulled $150. Not brag considering I was breaking $200 regularly in 4 hours late 2021 early 2022...

I don't do that well but I also don't do that poorly. The truth lies in the in-between. I think it also depends on the market you're in and probably better or worse tips in different areas.
Well, the majority probably doesn’t but that doesn’t mean every single person here saying they do is a liar. I know people who do amazing and people who make $5/hr. Most people I know average to about $20-$25 an hour. They aren’t getting rich but their bills are paid.
Gas is 25% of that and they’re out from 10am to 10pm and hammering their cars. They see nothing wrong with charging all their gas on their cards. And working for companies who do not pay any gas compensation or hourly wage. I’m sure they’re not wearing the pants in their household either. Weasels with no spine. It’s not sustainable. It’s a decent little side gig for a couple hours a day. But full time is a recipe for a bunch of bad shit.
Not for everyone. Electric cars, motorcycles, hybrids, and scooters are super cheap to operate. I use a scooter, my daily cost is just less than $6. That's assuming I work everyday. $4.50ish a day for gas, $9 a week for an oil change, $70 a year for insurance. Averaged out, that's less than $6 a day. If I wanted to buy a brand new scooter every year (of the same make and model of mine, or one that costs the exact same) I only need to make about $11 a day. Again, assuming I work everyday. My first trip everyday pays more than the $11 needed. And don't even get me started on the free modes of transportation such as walking, cycling, and skating. I make enough to pay my bills and have enough left for toys. If that's not sustainable to you, then you're living above your means and you need to take a budgeting class (I actually think Uber offers one).
I do not think the FTC and/or US Department of Labor even knows about Uber Eats bait and switch tactics which Door Dash doesn’t do. Uber has enabled their customers to scam us straight up. That’s how much they value you. And also UE’s stupid ass non-delivery mystery letters they send out to drivers when the driver has no idea what time, day, restaurant, customer, address, etc about food gone missing. How is the driver supposed to correct his/her conduct out on the road if they have no idea what went wrong? They’re afraid of retaliation towards a customer but DorkDash isn’t? Give me a break. Get some balls, Uber. All this does is lower moral for the driver and they’re left gutted trying to figure out what customer said what and who is scamming. These companies just walk on the backs of their drivers and they get unlimited free gas, free mileage, free expensive car maintenance, free labor, zero benefits. I know damn well we are independent contractors and not employees. But anyone with a brain and a calculator should be able to figure out it’s a $10/hr job after expenses including gas and your time and the annihilation to your car. That tweaker crack head mentality of “I made $28/hr tonight” is such delusional horse shit. Only children do not know the difference between gross and net profits. You are not making $300 a day. You are getting boned from these gig companies though who have skirted all the labor laws put in place. That’s for damn sure.
What a bunch of BS! I've been doing this gig since October of 2022 and I barely make even $100 on any day, and I live in NYC, supposedly the place where Uber Eats deliverers make it big! What a load of BS I tell you, I can't tell you how many loads of $2.00 delivery pings for an absurd distance and total delivery time I get (all in both Manhattan and Queens)! It's all advertisement in order for Uber to get more drivers, bikers, etc on their Eats platform
Same here i use to make $1100 a week working 6 days 8 to 10 hours with a little hard work for a year straight it was great. Then overnight it started declining slowly now working same hours same 6 days a week im barely taking home 80 bucks a day before gas im always trying to hope its just a off week when it started to get down to 900 a week then it started going down more and more then uber will keep me addicted by giving me a random 200 dollar day then crickets the rest of the week. I park by busy places see other drivers flying in and out its getting rough im about to give up after 10,200 deliveries in 2 years full time it would have been more deliveries but 2023 it has been bad
Its not an off week. Uber eats won a law suit that removed all protections that are customary for the average employee at a typical job. I noticed a significant drop since then. In PHX you're lucky to pull a $ a mile $10 and hour. Typical is 30 cents a mile 5-8 an hour.
I can second that for Phx. I use to be able to always make 100$ in a night 3-5 hours. That was 2 years ago. Now im lucky to make 50-60$ in that time. Not to mention all the 20+ miles trips they offer 2-4$ for.
Its insane that they let those long ones through. Its because of how they handle chain stores, but it shouldn't even bother trying to get someone to pickup McDonalds from 15 miles away.

There’s a Facebook group called “Doordash drivers with attitude” and a lot of them do Uber & others and EVERY DAY there’s multiple posts of people’s earnings like “$1k this week” and they full on COMPETE in the comments like bro it’s not that deep.

It’s more than possible but you have to put every hour of the day into making that. I did an 83 hour week for 1800 a month or so ago but it’s just exhausting getting to those numbers

150$ in 10 hours with a multi app. Best you will get even in a city of 3.5 mil. N it will barrage you with no tip orders while you are dropping off an order looking for address.
Uber eats/ grub hub/ door dash all got rough when the pandemic started to end. My respects to those who still do it as a full time but there’s no way you can make good money if you’re doing good delivery.

There was some fucker in the grubhub sub saying he makes $400 a day doing GH on a scooter in california. I’m in CA and I dont believe that for a second. These posts are fake and likely to get new drivers to come on board. It’s beneficial for them to have new drivers taking all the shit orders and thinking AR matters before they learn how to cherry pick
I'm in CA too and that's a crock. Especially on GH and on a scooter. I NEVER see GH drivers anywhere I pick up and I work a shit ton of hours. Only DD and other UE.

There’s simply just different markets and tbh it’s not solely based on number of people in a city! I live in a city and average about $250 in a 8-10 hour day but my buddy lives in a city about half the size of mine and makes about $350 in 8-10 hours. Unfortunately people in many large cities just don’t use the apps. Laziness and household income also effect this. Im I’m FL so everyone orders food cause they too lazy to go get it.
Ehhh. You're kinda right. I'm in Al. Not big fr. But I can go to ATL and make $250 in ab 8 hrs if I'm lucky. $150 if it's average. I prefer Birmingham bc it's not quite as crowded and I still make ab $100 a day for 8 hrs. I think it's ab which ones you take. I only take $10+ if I can. And I don't do less than a dollar a mile. You can grind $500 a week consistently. It does suck that your car and maintenance and all is included in that average pay tho. That's where the real problem is w ppl doing it everyday.
It really depends on where your market. I really doubt anyone is making two to 300 a day on average, but $200 days are definitely doable still.

I think it’s a combination of living in a bigger market so newer drives don’t have as big of an impact and finding little sweet spots for orders. I don’t typically work longer hours, but if I do I can see those #s. I think the only time that’s viable for people is those who live in bigger markets and cities. I’m in Arizona and live with a bunch of towns close by like Phoenix so I get more markets, and I have a special little area I drive that seems to pick up higher priced orders as well(granted, I protect that location I drive like it’s the key to Atlantis lol) but my market doesn’t see a ton of individual income reduction from new drivers since there’s just a lot more orders coming through. Being a driver in a town with 1,000 people and getting 10 new drivers is gunna hurt your income, but 1,000 new drivers in a city with millions won’t hurt as mich

All markets aren't created equal. Many drivers like to exaggerate what they make. Not saying it's not possible. But see my first point.
EXACTLY the SAME! Uber has continually taken more and more to where they will make more than the driver makes per ride! There is a major problem when this is allowed to go on! I am in Dallas tx and in just looking at my app in the last 24 hours or so I was logged in for 11 hours. Which ultimately it's more like 14 lol and made $205.00 but spent 70 on gas. Usually about 1/3 of my income. I mean I could be doing something drastically wrong but I don't think so. Anyone seeing something completely different?

This year I average about $80-$100 for a 6 hour night. In 2022 I actually made around $150-$200 a few nights but it wasn’t the norm. Yeah there’s no way you’re making $200-$300 a night unless you luck out and get huge orders and huge tips to go along with it
I have a feeling most normal people had given up on social forums a while ago leaving social media PR teams and bots take over, as it’s no use arguing with them. This including tipping posts but they sometimes contradict each other. Tipping does help the apps save or pocket money they otherwise have to pay and cutting into their shareholders profits. These days though it appears social media traffic is slowing all over. I am guess because the PR teams believe they already had won their battles or lost them no need to fight anymore.
I mean you can def break $200 but I would say, not on UberEATS alone, only if you multi-app. This past weekend I made $193 on Friday, $194 on Saturday & $172 on Sunday all within about 6.5 hrs of work. I wish I broke $200 but I started a bit too late each day and worked till about 3 in the morning. Had I started at 7 I definitely would've made close to $250. One-apping it just doesn't cut it these days.
9 hrs on Sunday, $230. 9.25 hrs yesterday, $200. Driving time is more like 7 hrs, and the rest were napping and declining orders. And I didn't even go into the busiest area once.
It’s not that difficult to figure out which driver maps to the Reddit user name. In order to stoke the gambler’s excitement, present a pre-selected driver with better offers in order to drive the daily/weekly revenue to impressive levels. The ecstatic driver will then brag to the Reddit community how smart/hardworking/lucky (s)he is and the rest of the gamblers are freshly pumped up again. Lather, rinse, repeat.
If you focus on driving during busy times, and you're actually out driving in the busy restaurant areas, there's nothing crazy about 200+ per day. That's just a fact. It will take already 10+hrs altogether most days. But again, that's spread out over the 3 busy periods. And whatever random you DO happen to get at home that's worth leaving for. You won't get enough sitting at home waiting tho, even if you live close to the restaurants. You think they haven't factored in your home address against the average time it takes you to leave? Why wouldn't they? Wouldn't you?
I don't make 200-300 on Uber eats. I do it multiapping. But have made claims of 200+. Ain't nobody doing all 200 on one app, but money's still there.
I'm pretty sure they are making that multiapping on UE & DD but in Cali it's not impossible to do just on UE.

I am now sitting in Schaumburg, Chicago this is the reach people's town believe me it is dead hard to see any decent offer comes thru ,I did $37 in over 4 hours it is death slow.

Concept of diminishing returns, with DD at least. If you skip the lunch dash, you often get better offers for dinner dash. You will make more if you work both, but at a lower hourly rate. They seemingly ration the work, to assure themselves enough driver coverage. Making too much too fast makes them think you will stop once you hit your goal. The enemies are time and miles. That includes sitting in your car between lunch and dinner. If you don't want to multi-app, maybe use different apps at different times of the day.
I make 200-300 doing rides in about 4-5 hours. Idk how people are making that much with eats without working for 10+ hours
What city are you in? I know I made 100 dollars in 4 hours on DoorDash in my city. But yesterday only made 85 working all day . You win some you lose some

Yupp well back in 2021/22 I was able to make $200-$400 a day easy. In 2023 I haven't broken $100 a day just with Ubereats. The only way I can brake $100 is using Instacart and even that's iffy.
You know what I think is ruining it so many damn drivers with multiple accounts and phones which to me should not be allowed on the platform imo!!
I've never made $200/day with Uber alone, but it has greatly assisted in helping me reach that goal when other apps aren't busy.
