Having a dose of scepticism is healthy these days. Every day we're spammed with bullshit narratives that are actually harmful. Too many people believe just about anything they see on the internet.

But it isn’t “conceivably not scripted”. You can kiss while holding a beer; she doesn’t do anything with the hand she freed up. And the framing/camera follow the beer the entire time. Also sporting events (especially basketball) are fairly widely known to hire local actors for bits like these. It doesn’t take away from the joke, it’s still a funny bit. But the people going on about “They have to be related” and “I would slap him for stealing my drink” are silly. It’s a bit, just enjoy the bit.

Scripted can be fun, but it's also good to have a healthy skepticism at times unfortunately. In the same vein wrestling is fun, but I don't believe they are really fighting or that they really are angry with each other in real life.
