Yes thank you!!! this fucking blew my mind when I found this out! I grew up obsessed with AVPM and kind of knew in the back of my head that vulf and all of them were at UMich around the same times but I didn’t realize the direct relation. Like it was a huge musical influence for me as a child and to have a random connection of it go on to become my favorite band as an adult it wild.
When I saw Theo live he mentioned something about how he toured with Darren Criss for a little bit too so they connection is pretty deep!
I saw Darren Criss live when he toured in 2013. Theo opened for him and then played drums for Darren. That's actually where I found out about Theo and eventually led to me listening to Vulf. Jack also played in the Starkid Homecoming band fairly recently (2019) and you can see him in the band at the performance along with Ryan Lerman (Scary Pockets) who is certainly in the Vulf circle.
Damn now I just want to hear a bunch of the StarKid classics played by the full Vulf crew!
But Theo and Darren are very similar in overall sound and style that was probably a great tour
Theo's set was mostly Romance Without Finance but I vaguely remember a couple songs that would pop up on Heartbreak Hits later. Darren's set was bonkers, it was a weird mix of his music, Starkid stuff, Disney songs, and a Glee cover or too. Great tour though, felt a little like a mini-One Direction concert at times but good music for sure.

I saw Darren’s holiday tour this past December and Animal Spirits was on the preshow playlist that played for the crowd.
