Qrates was slow, but until last year they were always good for fulfilling eventually. Even when my record came bent in the mail one time, I provided a photo of the damage and they promptly shipped me a replacement.
It wasn’t until 2023 where production slowed down even further and they got tight lipped about explaining themselves. Here’s hoping Vulfnik and High Loon ever ship.
Funnily enough the site looks so damn similar I was clicking around it trying to find out if they are affiliated. They don't seem to be. They don't mention their pressing plant/s, and googling it comes up with nothing either. Which would make me wary as an artist or buyer. Some discogs releases say GZ Media and Vinyl De Paris.
So it's basically just another Qrates, using the same business model and the same plants. Hopefully they don't have the same issues Qrates ran into, other than unavoidable delays. Any middleman funding service sending orders off to third party plants is going to be the same.
So people rejoicing over no more Qrates should still be wary. I wonder why Jack still uses a crowdfund then wait for them to get pressed system when just ordering 10,000 copies upfront the old school way would probably result in better outcomes for customers. This record is already at 1750 orders in a few hours, it's not like he'd ever be in a situation of overspending on unsold vinyl.
So glad they dumped qrates.
Diggers are so much better. Ordered, pressed, shipped, and received to Australia Thrill of the Arts before Vulfnik has even pressed
I still don't have my Vulfnik. 10 months.
Heh I forgot about Vulfnik - I wonder if it’s even coming at this point

Dude, if they are forever done with QRates, this is just the greatest news.
Now that we got our vinyl, the ball is in your court u/falskurgaur ...
Well okay then u/falskurgaur 😏

30 quid for such a short album, basically a £1 a minute... still gonna buy tho lol
Gets less and less expensive with each listen!
