Id say Smile Meditation is definitely 'Smooth Jazz'. Hard to say what's least 'jazzy'. Lonely Town, Animal Spirits, or Christmas in LA are not going to be called jazz by anybody.
I can't say I really know what is and isn't jazz, but Animal Spirits has some chords I'd consider pretty jazzy. Check out Jack playing the keys part solo:

I don't even know what you'd call that chord that's G# C C# F over A#
Whatever it is, sounds jazzy!
Jazz is pretty tricky to put into a box, but for my answer of 'least jazzy' I chose songs where the song structure and style were the farthest from the essential jazz elements. Animal spirits very verse chorus verse bridge style pop tune without much emphasis on improvisation. Using 'jazzy' style chords didn't really go into my consideration.
I'll fight you for sure. Smile meditation is absolutely smooth jazz, it's just also good smooth jazz. Check out Breezin' by George Benson or Angela by Bob James. Classics of smooth jazz. Listen to those and tell me smile meditation is a different genre.
Maybe our definitions are different. I’ll have to look up Bob James, but I know (and like) George Benson.
When I think of smooth jazz, it really just feels like crappy, soulless, wallpaper music. I used to work at Sweetwater Sound, and the higher-ups were in to some really awful stuff. My $0.02
Edit: I just listened to Smile Meditation, and it’s not the song I was thinking. Yeah, this is smooth jazz, and I usually skip this track.
Now… let’s fight, NANCY!
There are so many songs that don't fit under the jazz umbrella, it's hard to say. I would say that Love Is A Beautiful Thing feels kind of like it could be a jazz standard.
I agree with walk to remember. Especially if you listen to some of the live recordings, its just woody ripping solos for the whole song and its amazing
Jazziest language might be when Joey just plays super out on the B section of Tesla

Smile Meditation and Guided Smile Meditation. boom

I resist “smooth jazz” so much… I love Vulf and hate, hate, hate smooth jazz. They are not the same. FFIGHTMEDAMMIT!

Do me a favor, head to the Wikipedia article on smooth jazz and read the first sentence of the 'notable artists' section...

Any woody goss line qualifies. And if you haven’t had the pleasure, check out woody’s albums because they are beautiful works of art—Jazzy yet funky.
High Loon is cozy 😎
In Cars Too, Theo rips out a Donna Lee reference. I think that counts.
Something like Business Casual /// The Sweet Science but I'm no jazz expert.
Sweet Science is a lot more klezmer than jazz
Good take, I'm no klezmer expert either.
James Jamerson used one finger both the least and most jazzy song
🙂 I like this. 👍
Most jazzy, second half of Walk To Remember Least jazz, maybe Radio Shack
I agree with walk to remember. Especially if you listen to some of the live recordings, its just woody ripping solos for the whole song and its amazing
Outro is super jazzy
I'd pair this with Miracle, which is not jazz at all.
Test Drive least Birdwatcher most
Define "jazzy"?
Using techniques, progressions and principals that are most commonly found in popular jazz music
Poinciana prob only song that meets any reasonable definition of jazz (but shout out that one line in baby I don't know)
Most - Running Away, David T Walkers lines are super jazzy. Least - Walkies
