All my male friends have long hair and say “once it gets to a length it stops growing” and I was always confused about how Bianca grew her so extremely that it can be braided and still be over 5 ft long.
As a guy with long hair, I can vouch that while hair will reach a certain limit in length it is possible to extend this through hard work. I know ladies with real hair three times the length of mine, even though mine hasn't been cut in years.
Rather than "stopping growing", it's about how quickly hair breaks or falls out balanced against how quickly it grows. Using strengthening products, braiding and limiting brushing are known methods to prevent it breaking and therefore increase this limit.
Knowing this, I'm equally disappointed to learn the braid isn't real - even though I should've known logically that length was unrealistic.
