Grope, mope, pope, no-soap, hope, and tie their enemies intestines into ropes

Snote85

Dope!

bennytpenny

Nope.

ANGLVD3TH

I'm just here for Fulgrim to come host AA, Lorgar to host a children's science program, Magnus to get his PhD in theoretical math. Mort opens a pharmacy, while Pete and Angron start a hipster blacksmithery.

CedarWolf

> a hipster blacksmithery. Putting on armor before it was cool makes you look like the Salamanders.

Tech-preist_Zulu

I don't know... Magnus was moping and Lorgar was pOping...

Live-D8

Yeah he mixed those two up

Outrageous-Onion1991

Nice

liforrevenge

Bestof material.

renacotor

Am confused by the pope and hope part. Didn't magus jut scheme around while perty just did fuck-all?

Buriedpickle

I think it's top to bottom only then left to right. So Morty mopes and Lorgar popes

lerg7777

Mort is definitely no soap lol

General_Alduin

If I were a richer man, I'd give you a reward

Throwmesometail

From left to right : , Fuck all (mostly nothing) , Pray and hold mass, Read , Lose, forgotten by no one and yet everyone, fighting round the warp

PoxedGamer

>Fuck all (mostly nothing) Or quite literally...

Nova_Echo

Well he did get blown up by Rylanor.

Tuggah no!

HauntingRefuse6891

Wait.. middle top is Lorgar? That’s what is/was running scared and hiding from the Birb boi?

Dirken117

Well to be fair, (if I remeber right) corvus is now a vaguely human-shaped void of shadows and raven wings, constantly taking out word bearers in the warp from the shadows Batman style. And lorgar was never a good fighter compared to his brothers so even with chaos powers , fighting corvus now probably wouldn't end well. EDIT: I double checked the wiki for Corvus and yes, it straight up says that the energies from the warp stripped away his human form and turned him into "a humanoid creature of blades and living shadow that could transform into a enormous flock of ravens"

ObesesPieces

Where did this info come from?

Dirken117

I just double checked the wiki page for Corvus. This is straight from there, talking about after he went into the eye of terror after the traitors. "But Corax had been changed as well. Exposure to the energies of the Warp within the Eye of Terror had stripped away the mortal facade the Emperor had bestowed upon His sons, and revealed the true Warp-formed conciousness that lived beneath the surface of every primarch. Now a humanoid creature of blades and living shadow that could transform into an enormous flock of ravens, the being that was now Corax hurled himself at Lorgar. Trading immense blows that would fell a Space Marine many times over, the two demigods battled back and forth across the massive temple to the Ruinous Powers. But, as before, the Ravenlord gained the utter hand. Summoning a nimbus of power, Lorgar forced back his black-eyed tormentor and staggered into the Templum Inficio. At the tower in the heart of everything, Lorgar plunged into a hidden chamber and slammed the obsidian doors behind him. Screaming his rage and frustration, Corax swore to Lorgar that even if it took millennia, he would hunt down the Urizen and tear him limb from limb. On the black door blocking the Ravenlord from his prey, two runes flared into being spelling out a simple message: Deny Fate."

15th edition : Corax returns! And immediately nabbed by the Inquisition

HauntingRefuse6891

That’s a fair point actually.. they’re not exactly evenly matched combatants..

[deleted]

Lorgar isn’t hiding from bird boi from the latest codexes. Just a stupid meme. He is a daemon primarch of undivided and is the second strongest psyker primarch after magnus.

Dirken117

Yeah the latest codex confrimed that lorgar is out of the warp and doing things now. But before that, the last known thing about him was Corvus hunting him and his legion in the eye of terror. It confirms it on Corvus's wiki page.

ElEssEm

A wiki page should not be taken as a firm source, unless it's directly quoting something. They're very useful, but vulnerable to contributors' embellishments and misunderstandings.

TwitchandSmokeMain

The wiki page has a passage from shadows of the past

DJ33

I don't think there's any mention at all of Lorgar doing anything in the 9E CSM codex

sexistculexus

GW is determined to do my boy Lorgar dirty at every single chance. I bet in 10th edition they will make his chastity belt canon

Wonderful-Mouse-1945

I've been crossing my fingers for years that WB's will get their own Dex that leans heavily into cultists and daemonic summoning/rituals. Some day.

sexistculexus

Well, here's the thing, Emperor's Children will almost definitly get a codex at the end of 10th. Now, I dunno if the Undivided chapters will get codexes as well, and if they do I dont know if it will follow the timeline as the previous releases, but I imagine the release order will be as follows: Black Legion, Iron Warriors or Word Bearers, whichever they didnt do in the former, Night Lords, Alpha Legion

Wonderful-Mouse-1945

As much as I've never paid much attention to Alpha Legion, could you imagine if their thing was allowing access to loyalist kits, but barring them access to daemons? That would be an extremely intelligent thing for GW to do, business wise, but I'm not sure how they'd balance it/make everyone happy. I know Black Legion had a supplement in 7th, iirc, but I've always felt the core CSM dex did them well enough given their generalist nature. Iron Warriors would be a weird one, too. Lots of armor/daemon engines are already in the CSM dex, so I'm not sure what they'd do to differentiate them. Night Lords had better come with a new Raptor kit. And man... where the hell is the Emperor's Children dex? I feel like they've has been teased so many times from 8th onwards. New Noise Marines are a must, and some great Fabius Bile/upgrade rules as well. I know patience is a virtue, and we did just get WE, but I can't wait for the future where CSM players have roughly the same amount of options as loyalists. At least as it pertains to CSM proper.

sexistculexus

That idea for Alpha Legion would be amazing. I love them lorewise, but on the tabletop they feel too chaos-y for Alpha Legion. My idea has been that you can use a strategem that lets you swap any model out for Alpharius, and vice versa, the idea being to get the enemy to swarm ur alpharius model, then switch somewhere else, cause suprise! that was just a scout. Is the black legion thing useable? I looked it up just now, and I have literally never heard anyone mention it, CSM players always act like the Thousand Sons and Deathguard codexes were the second coming of christ. For Iron Warriors, I would make it so they cant run pure daemons, like princes or what not, but they can run anything mechanical. I have no idea why GW has not made a Dark Mech army, but if they did, there might be some overlap with the two armies. I guess IronWarriors could be to the DarkMech as what GreyKnights are to space marines. For Night Lords, I think they should be White Scars, but flying, and chaos. My ideal Warhammer, and I say this as a Black Templar player, is for every faction to receive the same level of love as the Imperium, at least codex wise. So Harlequin codex, all CSMs codexes, DarkMech, Arbites (in the main game), etc.

TwitchandSmokeMain

I think itd be interesting if in the newest or 10th ed csm codex that red corsairs get a section of their own rules, like they dont get daemons, but lean more into the "playing dirty" style that pirates are

Amon7777

Lorgar did himself dirty by being a little petulent child when senpai Emperor didn't return his love

grayrains79

At least senpai noticed him. That has to count for something, right?

LegionClub

Maybe he resurrects Argel Tal and Erebus has a fateful encounter with Kharne.

Gamezfan

Which one? The Wikia one is notoriously unreliable and filled with speculations. Lexicanum is the most reliable, but should still be taken with a grain of salt.

Dirken117

I checked both. The lexicanum was a shorter description but still mentioned him using powers of shadows and ravens in the warp. Another comment mention the Shadows of the Past book with the lorgar vs corvus fight in the warp says a similar thing about corvus.

TheLustyDremora

I think Corax is more like an Eldritch horror with wings at this point due to warp shenanigans

nadabethyname

want a figure of THAT.... might need to consider some kitbashing shenanigans.

LobMob

Fulgrim killed (temporarily) Guilliman. That was pretty significant.

Unnamed_Perpetual

And also Perty is probably playing some daemonic tabletop game.

Woodstovia

Per the Fabius Bile trilogy Fulgrim has been rebuilding Chemos

ChikenBBQ

The way the warp works, its not exactly that they have necessarily been doing something for 10k years. Time doesn't work in the warp the way it does in the materium. They kind of go in and out from their perspective for short periods of time, but their entry and exit points can be decades or centuries forwards or backwards. The warp is truly chaotic in all possible interpretations; you can go in a human from your perspective and then immediately be like "omg wtf" and back out and upon backing out fight your arm is now like a lobster claw, you no longer breathe air and have completely different biology and also what felt like seconds to you has been like 120 years. Or you can go in and meet with some daemons, maybe even get an audience with a chaos god where they give you some kind of personal blessing and mission and then when they send you out your physiology remains largely unchanged (10 fingers and toes, 2 eyes, mouth and nose plus or minus some magic stuff, like your muscles are a little bigger or maybe your intonation with the warp is better so you hands kind of crackle with a little lightning or something, eyes glow, etc.) And your exit from the warp is more or less aligned with the time frame you expect it to be. Navigating the warp is almost impossible, imperial navigators are basically born and bred to do it. It definitely requires the astronomicon, which is powered by the emporer, which is the primary reason for powering the Golden throne to keep him "alive", but even with all this effort imperial navigators get swallowed up all the time. The fabric of the warp isn't one thing, its constantly changing so if your there when it changes adios brochacho, hopefully your Liberian can get a message out so navigators behind you don't suffer the same fate you do. And thats just like the landscape of the warp, like never mind running into like a daemon or something or like a part of the warp that makes all your pskyers (and navigators are psykers) go crazy or explode or something. All this same stuff applies to traitor marines too, its just that because the traitor marines have aligning goals with the chaos gods they might help em out or guide them back to the materium to attack the imperium or something. Or just fuck with em. Or leave them alone, same difference really. But the main thing is existing in the warp is not the same thing at all as living in the materium. 10k years in the materium could be a day in the warp it could be a million years and it could be these two things to two guys who walked in standing next to eachother.

WhySpongebobWhy

Disappointed that this answer is so far down. In Aaron Dembski-Bowden's Night Lord series, they regularly talk about how the entire 10,000 years of the Post-Heresy Imperium has only been a couple centuries for them. Most of the Chaos Legions are basically still fighting the Heresy when they can manage to break away from the Great Game of the Chaos Gods for a bit.

Familiar-Fix-5849

I think this is even better portrayed in black legion, also by ADB

IronWhale_JMC

This is the real answer. The warp doesn't obey the same rules as reality, and I feel a lot of misunderstandings about Chaos hinge on people failing to understand the concept of 'chaos'. There are no rules here, and nearly everything occurs at the whims of truly cruel, capricious gods.

Scrandosaurus

Any chaos marine first hand accounts of the gods just fucking with them? Books or short stories. Seems kinda like black comedy.

springlake

Honour among Fiends from Heroes of the Space Marines.

NNextremNN

>It definitely requires the astronomicon It's not really "*required*" humans and other species were using warp travel way before the astronomicon. But the warp is becoming more and more chaotic and that makes it harder and harder to navigate. I'm not even sure if the astronomicon is reaching the other half of the Galaxy again. In some recent novels and stories it certainly didn't. That didn't stop the people from traveling it just made it more dangerous, slower and unpredictable.

ChikenBBQ

So that is like the premise of the sort of contemporary stuff in 40k. The eye terror expanded that huge swath in the galaxy essentially cutting the imperium of man in half (the maladictrix or whatever thing they call it); the half on the side of terra can see the astronomicon and navigate the warp, the half on the other side can't (imperium nox) and thats where all the horrible battlefields are, where all the chaos knight worlds and most of the chaos controlled and contested worlds are. The imperium has a lot of trouble mounting defense in imperium nox and all the worlds on that side have a hard time moving stuff around generally. The worlds that seem to do best are the imperial knight worlds, but everything else is extremely vulnerable. That map that was posted here a week or two ago shows this really nicely

MeasurementNo8566

Actual answer: they've all made a number of incursions into the Imperium and it's always been bad for the Imperium. However until recently it's been extremely difficult for them to manifest in real space (for 4 of them anyway, dunno about pert and lorgar). For the rest of that time, they've been pawns in the Great Game between the gods like all the other Deamon's. Lorgar is still communing with the warp. Personally I think he's trying to become a god like Horus might have done

Valjorn

Perty hasn’t done anything.

the_lost_carrot

Perty is off feeling bad for himself. He took a bad situation and made it 100% worse.

Valjorn

Eh not really he’s pretty much purged all that emotional “weakness” from himself the reason we got is that after he slapped Dorn at the Iron Cage he had no interest in conquering the galaxy or serving chaos he just fucked off to his personal planet to build crazy warp shit and probably a bunch of theaters and statues and the like.

FingerGungHo

So… emotionlessly sulking in his room for the past 10k years?

Valjorn

Again that’s incorrect but sure that’s the meme.

ChiefQueef98

He's out and about now. He and Mortarion just fought each other.

Jamzee364

>become a god like Horus might have He’s been hiding from the bird outside his window for 8,000 years. You’d think he would have time to become a god at this point.

WhySpongebobWhy

We've also gotta remember that time doesn't work the same way in the Warp. In Aaron Dembsky-Bowden's Night Lords series, they speak at length about how the 10,000 years of the Post-Heresy Imperium has only been a couple centuries for them. There's a chance that some of them have had time work in the opposite direction and the 10,000 years has felt more like 100,000 but they have yet to really show that time dilation go that far. At least in any publications I've personally read.

KDobias

Time isn't linear in the warp. Lorgar could have experienced 100,000 years or 10. Potentially both. We won't know until they tell his story.

Gumbletwig

I don’t think he is anymore, he’s being hyped up to be the king in yellow from the looks of it

kobold-kicker

It’s almost completely confirmed that Valdor is the King in Yellow. There’s still room to pull a shamalamylan though I can’t think of how.

Emberwake

Also worth mentioning it might not have been 10000 years for them. It could be 200 years or 2 million. They're in the warp, shit's weird.

Good ole Rylanor.

CptPanda29

I heard that Magnus can reverse death if any of his non rubirc'd sorcerers get killed - if that's right is Vistatio and Co still around or are they done for? Or did the "redemption" from spiting Fulgrim free them from this Warp fuckery?

WolfLordSp

Don't think flipping birds at Fulgrim means they renounce to Magnus that easy, if that's even possible.

[deleted]

I'd bring them back just for that, Papa Mags is proud of ya Visty.

IronWhale_JMC

In lore, he's mostly been recreating his homeworld of Chemos over and over again, trying to conquer it in the 'perfect' way (Source: Fabius Bile Trilogy), which is actually really sad when you think about it. Though, I think lately the rule books point to him raiding Aeldari craftworlds with a huge mass of Emperor's Children, which he hasn't led in a LONG time.

ChiefofthePaducahs

I wonder if any of them have maintained any shred of their humanity

westsidewinery

Spoilers for the AOO Angron book: Angron kinda feels like the winter soldier to me. The way it reads is that he manifests into reality, shits on everyone around (he does have thoughts similar to the kind he had when he was not a daemon), gets blown up and keeps healing/coming back. When he does actually go back to the warp is almost seems like he doesn’t remember those times and/or he is just mindless there. When he gets materialized into another conflict is almost like he feels it’s immediately after the last fight. Not sure I’m communicating that well but I think it kind of answers your question lol

mathiustus

Sounds like an eversor to me.

waffebunny

To OP’s point - there are a lot of parallels between the fully mind-controlled version of the Winter Soldier, and an Eversor assassin (right down to the time spent in the freezer between engagements)!

RapescoStapler

Every time Angron dies, he hopes it'll be his final death from which he won't return. That's pretty human to me

BadgerBodges

Millenial Angron.

VividPossession

Mortarion, at least from what I've read, seems to have actually become more human. The guy is absolutely miserable, lsoing control of his own legion, and spends most of his days wallowing in his castle. But it does make sense. Mortarion had the strongest will of all his brothers, so much so that Nurgle had to snipe his entire legion to turn him. Lorgar was all for chaos, Magnus was built vulnerable, Angron lost his mind well before chaos got to him, Fulgrim was in a similar place, and we don't know much about Perturbro. Checks out the Primarch who is the most defined by his iron will and ability to endure, not to mention grew out being treated as an inhuman monster, would be the one to still feel the most like a real man at the end of the day.

Hekto177

I always felt bad for Mortarian. Maybe that's why I like him the most.

Lichttod

Peterturbo took the place more as an "f you" to the imperium after his legion got the short stick with everything. There is not really another option except working with xeno scum. Night Lords are only traitor because they are seen as monsters, even though they are somewhat the ones killing the least innocent (atleast pre heresy). I feel bad for Morti for how his legion sees him. Loyalists remember the glory days of their primach because all except 2 are still missing or dead. Magnus tries to be a good father after a bad example from big E. Aangron and his sons are still angy bois. Death guard hate him because of his humanity and wishes he was dead rather than being in this state now.

HAzrael

Night lords are monsters who needlessly inflict suffering for pleasure. Their method is explicitly shown in text to not work, disproving their ethos. Thats why they are fun bad guys, they are absurdly evil like dark Eldar because sometimes in make believe being so evil it's almost comedic is fun.

Jamzee364

Sorta kinda? Like other commenter said, Angron still has thoughts and regret. Lorgar, yeah he’s gone mental. Probably because his bird brother has pecked at his window nonstop for ten thousand years. Magnus? Well he’s alive and kicking. Recently fought Guilliman on the Moon. The entire time the two tried talking about “dont go see dad he’s a dick” and “brother please return to us.” So Magnus is his anxiety riddled self doubting self as always. Perti and Fulgrim have been pouting in their own corners doing fuckall. In the case of Fulgrim, literally, he’s in his palace torturing his real soul while his corrupted soul/the soul of his sword that corrupted him uses his snake body like a sex doll. And Mortarion is currently recovering from 9th degree burns after Emps and Guilliman kicked his ass back to Nurgle’s garden. He’s still human, but really really grumpy. And salty. Think of his mental state as the same as a cod player back in 2012 Also. Omegon is “unconfirmed” to be alive. And most likely he’s a loyalist.

ToTeMVG

man i would really kinda love magnus getting a chance of redemption, whilst like opposite side of the coin a loyalist "missing" primarch falls sorta cementing that some of hte primarchs aren't inherently evil(nor their geneseed) and that big E is a terrible dad

Jamzee364

Magnus was given the chance during Guilliman’s little fight. Which honestly, Magnus and guilli weren’t really trying to win. Magnus knew Guilliman was about to just leave, and Guilliman knew he couldn’t win a fight with Magnus. So he could have just, not fought, but he did. Also one of the lost falling would be Corvus, he’s literally a demon now. More demon than any of his traitor brothers. He’s an eldritch horror at this point. But he’s in a cage so it aint much to work with.

AndrasZodon

He's not literally a daemon; they're all warp-creatures. They've simply been molded into the form of men and in a way contained by the concept. Corvus had one of the more explicable warp-gifts and embraced it from early on. He embraced his nature as a warp creature and became the horror he is now.

ToTeMVG

yeah i dont know much bout the lore fully im choppin at the books slow but hopefully that continues with magnus, like the most i know about him is he just kinda really got forced into the whole traitor part and didnt intend to fuck shit up though yeah from hearing bout primarchs i'd say either corvus or russ, cuz i've heard russ is kinda of an asshole, bit sad im realizing the descriptors on corvus tho isn't him being a giant demon bird man but weird ass eldrich horror of birds and blades like abstract murder shadows

mathiustus

What book has Corax in a cage?

mykillandjello27

Also given a chance during the Siege of Terra.

Kaladin-of-Gilead

> Also. Omegon is “unconfirmed” to be alive. And most likely he’s a loyalist Wait really? That would be such a twist lol

AndrasZodon

Not sure if sarcasm but yes. One of the Twins is pretty canonically dead at the moment, the other """died""" during the Scouring, but it's heavily implied he didn't. The Inquisition has also tracked down and killed like 6+ individuals they believed to be the actual primarch Alpharius. Basically it's heavily implied that one of the twins is still alive, only we don't really have any idea what they're doing except being a puppetmaster. Alpha Legionaires are typically among the least-chaos corrupted CSMs, seem to play both sides, and often have access to modern Imperial weaponry. No one really knows but popular fan canon is that the surviving twin is loyalist.

VoxImperatoris

Personally I like the idea that Alpha legion split into two, each half led by a twin, and theyve mostly been too busy playing spy vs spy with each other to really get too involved with the imperium at large.

AndrasZodon

Yeah, me too, except they seem insistent that one twin died. Seems unclear how that sharing a soul business works, but I think it would be cool if (died or not) one of them became a daemon and the other didn't.

VoxImperatoris

Yeah, I would assume the “dead” twin became a demon. Like most dead characters, theyre more like Schrodingers dead until you see an actual body, and even then they sometimes get better.

Dalevisor

Dorn chopped him in fucking half

VoxImperatoris

Or did he?

SomeAnonymous

It seems like the lore has quite strongly ruled this possibility out now (given that we've seen a few Alpha Legion chaos warbands wandering about doing their own thing), but that would have been a very fun way of introducing Alpha Legion into main 40k narrative. Have a small set of books which feature an escalating Alpha Legion vs Alpha Legion (Omega Legion? No wait that's Rowboat's guys) super spy war, with one side as renegade loyalists and the other side as a Chaos Undivided group. Series ends with both sides being forced to reveal their existence & organisation to the galaxy.

WhySpongebobWhy

Yep. Alpha Legion and Night Lords are both largely disgusted by Warp Corruption. They've got the fewest demonic forces of all the Traitor Legions and Warbands.

MmmmmmmKayY

When angron died in an explosion he felt peace so I mean… everyone got warp fucked so half of these guys have dementia and a god complex

TheGreatStateOfEnnui

That would actually be a really cool th8ng for Pertuabo to do; brings him back into the spotlight and explains where the "chaos primaris" come from (we all know its gonna happen. Maybe he enlists Fabius Bile into some genetic engineering bullshittery.

ArchMegos

I believe that perty wasn't turned into a deamon primarch and has been slowly turning himself into a mechanical monstrosity to slow his envitable death from the wound from fulgrim. Also, trying to find a way to become more powerfull

TheGreatStateOfEnnui

Perty ascended to Daemonhood after sacrificing the geneseed of Imperial Fists who died in his Iron Cage trap IIRC

[deleted]

Aren’t chaos Primaris now a thing after AOO: Angron?

Ellie_Valkyrie

Technically yes but also no. As much as I would love to say we have primaris who are completely down with/worship/embrace chaos, we really dont have it. Instead primaris marines were overtaken with a bloodthirsty fervor which I doubt they would have any control over their emotions/actions by that point. They were overtaken by this emotion almost like being possessed. In the end the only loyalist forces that were there who weren't corrupted were the Custodes and Grey Knights iirc. Everyone else was overtaken by bloodlust, and began killing each other.

Nurgle_Marine_Sharts

I sure hope that's not chaos' answer to the primaris. They would be relegated to a single chaos god.

Brodo-Flaggins

Made his own club with drugs and hookers; opened a mega church; played a lot of D&D, but exclusively with caster classes Ignored quarantine regulations; started a metal band; became the vocalist for the metal band

New-Explanation-154

I would listen to that metal band

Brodo-Flaggins

Same tbh.

EbonBehelit

I could totally imagine them *all* being in a metal band: Angron = lead vocals Fulgrim = lead guitar Mortarian = bass Perturabo = drums Magnus = keyboard/synth Lorgar = backup vocals (for when Angron abandons the stage and jumps into the mosh pit to fight people), rhythm guitar

SchopenhauersFeline1

Ah man, Perturabo needs a fuckin rewrite or something. So much potential with that character

ScratchMonk

Out of all of them Perturabo is the one getting shit done. In 400.M32, he single-handedly annihilated the forge world of Toil in eight days. With Nurgle's help, he unleashed a machine-plague that transformed the planet's factories into walking monstrosities while causing Daemon Engine-spewing cables to burst out of the ground, making him the most deadly hacker to ever exist. He also helped Abaddon fuck up the Iron Hands during the 10th Black Crusade making him the only Primarch to participate in a Black Crusade. Also he fought a duel with Mortarion and lost.

Nurgle_Marine_Sharts

Where can I read this stuff?

ScratchMonk

I read it on the 40k wiki. I believe it's from the Chaos space marines codexes.

Nurgle_Marine_Sharts

Thanks!

HexenHerz

Perturabo left his fortress to meet with Honsu. As far as I know thats the only directly mentioned activity of his.

ArchMegos

Can't wait for perty to meet vashtor bc they would ***fall in love***

Apparently the Vashtorr AoO book confirms that the two have an alliance.

It would be 3.2 seconds before Perty felt unappreciated by Vashtorr. Then Perty would go back to his fortress to play more stratego and mope.

it might not be exactly 10k years for them time is different in the warp, some of them whos souls are owned by one god were prob fighting that endless war between the gods, the others who knows. i hope pertuabo isnt a demon prince if i remember his whole legion would cut off any corruption and replace it with metal.

Racist-chicken

Infinite respawns or hiding in the warp

FoxJDR

Fulgrim - Jelqing 24/7 Lorgar - Hiding under his bed from Corax Magnus - Being a big old nerd Mortarion - Having sad pity party mope sessions with Isha Perturabo - “Every morning I break out of my house. Every night I break in. I do not sleep. I only repair the damage and perfect my defences I hunger for the day I am either entombed forever or effectively exiled from my own house…” Angron - Smashing shit and not the Fulgrim type of smashing…

25c-nb

Thank you for putting them in order omg I knew which ones were angron, magnus and mort, had a feeling the first was fulgrim but I don't even recall how I knew that and so the rest of them I was guessing I was about to comment on the post asking for someone to match the names to the pics because I obviously know all the names and who they are but I only know a few of their appearances well enough to not need OPs pic to be labeled

themug_wump

Wondering if I can make that mask for Magnus a reality…

Burdenslo

Angron : dominion of fire & the 1st War for amargeddon Mortarion : fall of sancta & battle of kornovin Lorgar : hunting/be hunted by corax Magnus : nothing til sacrificing migardia Perturabo : iron cage incident & aiding 10th Black crusade Fulgrim : battle of thessela (almost killed roboute) aiding in 13th Black crusade & Sabbyst Planetstrike

mrwafu

Aside from “time in the warp is different”, it takes an amount of sacrifice to bring a daemon into the world, the bigger the daemon the worse the sacrifice. A daemon Primarch would no doubt take something like a planet of sacrifice (eg second war of Armageddon for Angron). So the cost just to bring them into physical world is insane. And AFTER that, every time a daemon is banished, it takes time for it to recover and reform and be able to come back to the physical world again. My impression is that the bigger and more power a daemon is, the longer it takes for them to reform; so it could be hundreds of years before they resurface again. So every time the Grey Knights or whoever have smacked a Daemon Primarch down, they’ll be gone for a long while. In the past 10,000 years there might have only been a handful of Daemon Primarch appearances in the physical world. This is important to note since Angron is now somehow able to come back 8 weeks 8 days 8 hours after being banished; much, much quicker than before, so he’s gonna be able to wreak a lot more havoc.

BaronBulb

Clearly nothing noteworthy.

Random_Spawnpoint

Plague wars?! One of the main storylines of 8th edition.

BaronBulb

I missed it. Let me guess, the Imperium won.

WhySpongebobWhy

Kinda? The Imperium is still around but the entire Galaxy has basically been cut in half with a huge warp rift and a huge chunk of Guilliman's prided Ultramar aligned worlds are completely fucked. Basically the worst loses the Imperium has seen since The Beast's invasion basically wiped out the Imperial Fists.

SlayerofSnails

Fulgrim has spent 10k years groundhog daying a simulation of his homeworld for fun

l_arpenteur

Let me guess...Fulgrim???

TheFlamingGit

Doesn’t time pass differently in the eye?

JimBob-Joe

Aside from fulgrim and lorgar, these are some pretty cool renditions of the primarchs. Especially magnus and angron. Also, seeing pertuabo like that makes me want a sculpt for him now. Just the thought of a massive primarch daemon prince/daemon engine clad head to toe in impenitrable warp metal barreling down the board is fricken awesome. I'd make a buy a new army just to make him the centrepiece

RevolutionaryKey2342

Has alpharius (or omegon) become a demon Prince?

[deleted]

Official records say that both Alpharius and Omegon were dead before the end of the Heresy and the Alpha Legion took up "I am Alpharius".

Orgerix

Alpharius was killed by Dorn (or was he?). As far as i know Omegon is not demonic.

Monkfich

Everytime this is asked, the lore says, timey whimey things meant it’s only been 10 days since they last saw Horus. Not nearly enough time to get anything done yet. And then when you point to specific examples of them doing things, you are referred back to the timey whimey stuff as to why they haven’t done more. Real reason: the authors have to finish the Horus Heresy novels before they can then flesh out what happens for everyone (some people have it already, yes) after the HH. Then we’ll have parting shots with the various Primarchs, providing us a little information that we might not have known already … timey whimey stuff.

RapescoStapler

> you are referred back to the timey whimey stuff as to why they haven’t done more. It's funny that this is only ever used to make the time shorter, ie to say "that '10,000 year veteran' space marine might've only experienced 20 years!" because it could just as equally have been millions of years for them and that suddenly changes the dynamic a lot

JonhLawieskt

Fulcrum put Guilliman on life support and then got shamed by Rylanor. Lorgar is pissing his pants cuz Corax is coming for his ass. Magnus has been acting dumb and trying to destroy Fenris. Mortarion got a name carved in his heart and got butthurt for it. Perturabo is sometimes messing with imperial fists. Angrom is being angry and making war

Archiimedis

Im new to the 40K universe, startet with the Horus heresy books. Who are those bad boys (pleas only answer if it will not be a mager Spoiler)

BarfingRainbows1

The perfect examples of why parents should really look into what their kids do in their free time

baelrune

Those are the daemon primarchs, fulgrim, lorgar, magnus, mortarion, perturabo, and angron.

No-Rise6485

Oh boooooy, what should I say...

Archiimedis

I think that says it all. Thx

Gutterman2010

Fulgrim: mortally wounded Guilliman, then decided to go retire to a daemon world and chill for 10k years. Lorgar: He organized the spread of Chaos Cults, helped Abaddon set up the black legion and continued to direct the Word Bearers in actions against the Imperium. Magnus: He launched one attack against Fenris in M32, which while nominally a failure did result in him destroying the apothecarium of the fang, destroying most of the Space Wolves' geneseed (thus dramatically limiting the size of their legion) and destroying a potential cure to the curse of the Wulfen. He also attacked the Imperium in late M31 where he almost killed Russ. Otherwise he rebuilt the Thousand Sons' strength and was otherwise involved in fighting the other chaos gods in the Eye. In M41 he got involved in the whole Warzone Fenris thing. Morty: Mostly sitting around and moping until the plague wars. He did lead a small offensive that killed the Grey Knights Supreme Grand Master in late M41. Perty: THE IRON CAGE. Otherwise nothing. Angron: He led the 1st War of Armageddon for Chaos, along with a variety of other wars.

BrotherCaptainStrife

Really crappy “Labyrinth” remake; Discord Mod; Your Mom; Heavy Metal Gardening shows; Windows Updates; Your Dad

Necessary-Ad-6396

They look so hard core

CanisPanther

Nothing wrong, that’s for sure.

VandyalRandy

Have you seen the episode of Metalocalypse where they start learning yoga? That’s what Fulgrim is up to.

McWeaksauce91

“10k? Wasn’t that shit like last week?” Or “10k? Wasn’t that shit like 30k years ago” - all of them

Remake12

F*cking, Sucking, Thinkjng, Stinking, Brooding, Killing

Erasmus_Tycho

Time flows differently in the warp.

WehingSounds

Pretty sure Lorgar is locked in his room with a big demon crow pecking at his window

Zed_Hudson

I have a fan theory Lorgar is supposedly just been in meditation this entire time as a Deamon. I like to think he is trying to help will the emperor into a warp god like Lorgar always though he was.

Skitzophranikcow

Looks like an iron maiden cover.

Geist333

From what I understand: Fulgim: Got pimp-slapped by a Dreadnaught and a couple of TK's, then fucked up trying to curse Gulliman and got pimp-slapped again. Lorgar: Got pimp-slapped by Corvus Corax who is now a Warp Entity Magnus: Burned the Fenris system to the fucking ground Mortarion: Tried to make a move on Ultramar, captured three planets in the process and is more or less a permanent thorn in Ultramar's side now Perturabo: No idea, if anything Angron: According to the records from yonder 1d4chan: Getting Shit Done. In detail: he's made several incursions separately from the other Traitor Primarchs, and pretty much all of them have been some form of victory or another.

CoopDeGrac3

At the risk of being down voted...my Mum?

DarthGoodguy

In my headcanon? Mostly fighting each other and independent elements of their own legions.
