My warm-weather wardrobe consisted of lightweight plaid sportshirts, Hawaiian shirts, and vintage bowling shirts, paired with khaki cargo shorts or distressed carpenter jeans and Chuck Taylor All-Stars. Sort of? I live in the midwest, so even though I came from a "city" there was quite a bit of lets say - "rural exposure". I have a heavy duty carhaart zip up hoodie from like 15 years ago that still looks almost brand new. I have found some alright stuff at those farm and hardware stores. Mostly it's the stuff for colder weather like flannels and socks.

The Faculty is such a fun movie. What a wild cast!

A couple years ago, while my friends and I were at her mom's house, we pulled out some of her old VHS tapes and watched the Faculty for the first time in decades! While we were watching it, someone asked "How come we never see any of these actors in any movies anymore?" and I said "They were probably blacklisted after refusing to sleep with Harvey Weinstein". And then when the credits ran at the end of the movie, low and behold, Harvey Weinstein's name popped up!

Took one look at the image and did a double take. How haven't I seen this? Just checked the cast, and you're right. It's wild!

I'm in that weird zone where you guys say I'm a little too old to be in your group, and the Gen-Xers say I'm too young. I remember this being a thing but I latched on to the flannel shirts and never let go. I did have a few long sleeve tshirts but I just wore them as long sleeve tshirts.

I am not now nor have I ever been thin enough for any of those styles. I am very much a baggy athletic wear kinda guy. Generally find me in basketball shorts and loose sleeveless top. Maybe a Hawaiian shirt over a tank top. Basically I dress like my reddit avatar.

This is skinny people attire. I’ve been fat-ish since 2000. Fat-ish people can’t pull this look off.

My 10yr old wears that look any day it’s below 70ish degrees. Only difference is he hates jeans, so he is usually wearing some track-type pants. My wife and I get a huge kick out of him dressing straight out of the 90s without realizing it.

Honestly I never stopped wearing it. Then I moved to Thailand 14 years ago and still kept weaeing it. Then one night I was out with some Thai ppl I met, and while drinking beer casually one of the guys asked me " "why do you dress like tuk tuk driver"? I didnt understand it at first..it took me a year or two to figure it out. Then I realized that most taxi drivers and publoc transportation drivers wear long sleaves under a shirt or tshirt. They protect their arms from the sunburn. Sunbun Thailand= Getting dark=> being dark= working in fields and low status. Some of the drivers have only sleeave covers that they wear under a shirt so it looks like long sleaved shirt under a tshirt, but its actually only sleaves. So yea.. i stopped doing it afterwards cause it felt like every single old dodgy taxy driver wears those... And I dont want to assiciate with taxi or songteow drivers..they are the worst. Scum of the earth.
